Domain parking is sold as passive income: point a domain you are not using at a page of adverts and collect a share. The contract behind it is less relaxed.
We read GoDaddy's CashParking Service Agreement on 19 October 2026. It tells you the revenue figure you see each day is only an estimate, that you are paid a month after you earn, and that unpaid earnings can be forfeited at GoDaddy's sole discretion.
GoDaddy CashParking Service Agreement, read 19 October 2026

Daily revenue is an estimate · paid monthly in arrears · unpaid earnings can be forfeited
📅 Update log:
19 October 2026 — First publication. Read the same day: godaddy.com/en-in/legal/agreements/cash-parking-service-agreement, logged out, from India, nothing purchased and GoDaddy not contacted; the document carries its own stamp, Last Revised 07-02-2025. Recorded from this read: daily revenue figures are described as estimates that "do not represent an exact determination" and "may be different"; Commission Payments are monthly and cover the preceding month, with the agreement's own example of January 2025 earnings paid in February 2025; payments take 1-5 business days to post once initiated; payments can be cancelled or suspended at any time for chargebacks or suspicion of fraud; GoDaddy reserves four remedies for suspected violations, including an administrative fee per domain or account and the forfeiture of previously earned but unpaid revenue; the user authorises both credit and debit entries to their designated deposit account; twelve classes of conduct are prohibited on the parked page, including editing or reordering results, caching them, redirecting visitors, and any arrangement under which a third party shares in Commission Payments; and .au domains carry extra content conditions. No earnings figure appears in the agreement and none is stated here.
You generate the revenue. GoDaddy decides whether you keep it
GoDaddy CashParking points an unused domain at a page of advertising search results and pays you a share of what those results earn. We read its governing contract, the CashParking Service Agreement, on 19 October 2026. The document carries its own stamp: Last Revised 07-02-2025.
Three clauses sit some distance apart in the text and are worth reading together. The daily revenue number in your dashboard is an estimate that "may be different". You are paid a month in arrears. And GoDaddy reserves the right to "require the forfeiture of any previously earned revenue ... which has yet to be paid" wherever it believes, in its "sole and absolute discretion", that you have broken the agreement.
Put plainly: there is a window between earning and being paid, and the contract gives GoDaddy discretion over what happens inside it.
What the contract says about the money
| Question | What the agreement says | Note |
|---|
| Daily revenue shown in your dashboard | An estimate only - GoDaddy uses "commercially reasonable efforts" to provide "accurate daily estimates" | The agreement says the exact amount "may be different" |
| When you are paid | Monthly, for the preceding month | The agreement's own example: commissions earned in January 2025 are paid in February 2025 |
| How long the transfer takes | 1-5 business days to post once initiated | Depends on payment method and currency; GoDaddy "expressly disclaims any liability" for it |
| Fees on the way in | Your bank or an intermediary may charge you | "The issuer of your Commission Payment method or an intermediary may charge you additional fees to receive funds" |
| Minimum payout threshold | Published separately, not in the agreement | The agreement links out to a "Payee Account Information" page for methods, fees and thresholds |
| If GoDaddy suspects fraud or sees a chargeback | Payments can be cancelled or suspended at any time | Stated without qualification in the payment section |
Signing up also authorises movement in the other direction. You authorise GoDaddy "to initiate and post entries to the deposit account(s) that you designate" — both credit entries for commissions and "debit (negative) entries to reverse erroneous Commission Payments and/or make adjustments to incorrect Commission Payments". That authority, the agreement says, remains in full force until it is cancelled.
The four remedies GoDaddy reserves
| Remedy | Scope | Note |
|---|
| Suspend or deactivate | Any and all domain names or accounts | Immediately, on GoDaddy's belief in its "sole and absolute discretion" |
| Charge an administrative fee | For each and every domain name or account believed to be in violation | No amount is stated in the agreement |
| Require forfeiture | Of any previously earned revenue which has yet to be paid | Revenue you have already generated but not yet received |
| Report you to advertising partners | Provide partners with any domain names believed to be in violation | — |
Each of these is triggered by what GoDaddy "believes in its sole and absolute discretion" to be a violation — the agreement sets no notice period, no appeal and no stated fee amount.
None of this is evidence that GoDaddy has treated anyone unfairly. Discretionary suspension and clawback language is ordinary in advertising revenue-share contracts. It is worth reading before you point a domain you care about at the service.
Twelve things you may not do to your own parked page
| What you may not do | The agreement's position |
|---|
| Edit, modify, filter or reorder the search results | Not without GoDaddy's prior written consent |
| Add content above or below the landing page | Only if pre-approved in writing by GoDaddy |
| Redirect a visitor away from the search results page | Prohibited |
| Cache, capture or store any search results | Prohibited |
| Serve a different version of the page than the one GoDaddy serves | Prohibited |
| Show the search or landing pages to any third party | Prohibited |
| Let a third party pay you or share in your commissions for the results shown | Prohibited |
| Display pop-ups, pop-unders or animation that block the results | Prohibited |
| Mislead visitors into thinking a click gives them anything but an internet search | Prohibited |
| Password-protect the search result pages | Prohibited |
| Offer app downloads, or let the site be a downloadable app | Prohibited |
| Disclose the click, impression or revenue reports GoDaddy gives you | Only to employees or agents who need to know and have agreed in writing to keep it confidential |
The restrictions are tighter than "park it and collect". You cannot reorder or filter the results, cannot cache them, and cannot place your own content above or below the landing page unless GoDaddy approves it in writing.
One clause rules out a whole business model: you may not enter any arrangement under which a third party pays you fees or shares in your Commission Payments for the search results displayed on your site. Parking aggregators and revenue-share intermediaries sit squarely inside that sentence.
There is also a country-specific condition. For .au domain names, the content must relate "specifically and predominantly" to the domain name, and the domain must not be or incorporate an entity, personal or brand name that existed when it was registered.
How to read a "Last Revised" date
The agreement stamps itself 07-02-2025. That matters because the contract also says GoDaddy may change it "at any time", that changes are "effective immediately upon posting", and that your continued use after a change "shall constitute your acceptance".
GoDaddy may notify you of changes by email, which is why the agreement stresses keeping your account email current — and disclaims any responsibility if you miss a notice because your address is out of date. The practical advice is to check the "Last Revised" stamp yourself rather than wait to be told. Everything on this page describes the document as published on 19 October 2026.
Frequently Asked Questions
How does GoDaddy CashParking pay you?
Monthly and in arrears. The agreement defines Commission Payments as monthly, representing "commissions earned in the preceding month, less any applicable fees, refunds and/or chargebacks", and gives its own example: commissions earned in January 2025 are paid in February 2025. Once initiated, a payment "may take 1-5 business days to be posted" depending on method and currency. You must first set up a payee account and assign it to your CashParking account.
Is the daily revenue figure in the dashboard what you actually get paid?
No, and the agreement is explicit. GoDaddy undertakes "commercially reasonable efforts to provide you with accurate daily estimates", and you "acknowledge and agree that any daily estimates do not represent an exact determination" of the payment, which "may be different". The actual figure is settled at the end of the revenue period, after fees, refunds and chargebacks come off. Treat the daily number as an indication, not an entitlement.
Can GoDaddy take back money you have already earned?
The agreement reserves that right for unpaid revenue. Among its remedies, GoDaddy "specifically reserves the right to ... require the forfeiture of any previously earned revenue in connection with the Services, which has yet to be paid", where it believes, "in its sole and absolute discretion", that the agreement has been violated. Separately, you authorise GoDaddy to post "debit (negative) entries to reverse erroneous Commission Payments" to your deposit account. We are not suggesting GoDaddy has used either clause against anyone; this is what the published document permits.
What are you not allowed to do with a parked page?
More than most people expect. You may not edit, modify, filter or change the order of the search results; cache or store them; redirect a visitor away from them; show them to a third party; or add content above or below the landing page without GoDaddy's prior written consent. You also may not let any third party pay you or share in your commissions for the results displayed, and you may not disclose the click or revenue reports GoDaddy provides except to people who have agreed in writing to keep them confidential.
How much can you earn from parking a domain?
The agreement states no figure, and neither does this page. Revenue depends on traffic the domain already receives and on what advertisers pay for the searches it generates — none of which the contract promises or estimates. What the document does establish is the shape of the deal: monthly settlement in arrears, estimates that are not binding, a minimum threshold published elsewhere, and GoDaddy's discretion over whether a payment is made at all. Anyone quoting you an expected income from domain parking is not getting it from this contract.

Zoutons may earn a commission when you buy through links on this page. Every quotation, clause and characterisation here was read on 19 October 2026 from GoDaddy's own published CashParking Service Agreement at godaddy.com/en-in/legal/agreements/cash-parking-service-agreement, logged out, from India, with nothing purchased and GoDaddy not contacted. The document stamps itself "Last Revised: 07-02-2025" and states that GoDaddy may change it at any time, effective immediately on posting — so it may have changed since this page was written. Read the live agreement before relying on anything here. THIS IS A READING OF A PUBLISHED CONTRACT, NOT AN ALLEGATION. We do NOT claim that GoDaddy has ever forfeited anyone's revenue, withheld a payment, debited anyone's account, suspended anyone's domains unfairly, or applied any clause improperly — we have no evidence either way, and discretionary suspension and clawback terms are common in advertising revenue-share agreements generally. Where this page summarises a clause in plainer words, the agreement's own wording governs; quotations are reproduced exactly and the surrounding summary is our reading of them, not legal advice. THIS PAGE IS NOT LEGAL OR FINANCIAL ADVICE and must not be used as a substitute for reading the agreement or taking professional advice. No earnings figure, projection, range or expectation is stated or implied anywhere on this page, because the agreement states none. Domain parking income depends on factors outside this contract and may be nil. Pricing, plans and terms change without notice; what GoDaddy publishes at the time you sign prevails over anything here.
