13 Aug: A back-to-school / Labor Day window is expected 25 August–5 September, and the year's biggest event — Black Friday — is expected in the last week of November with courses at their annual floor (Rs. 449–549). This calendar is re-checked weekly; confirmed dates replace expected windows the day they are announced.

Udemy's 'sales' work differently from shopping platforms: platform-wide promos fire two-to-three times a month, dropping Rs. 3,000+ courses to the Rs. 449–699 band, and the named events (New Year, back-to-school, Black Friday) mostly widen the floor rather than deepen it. The practical question is never if a sale is coming but whether today's price is already the floor. This living page tracks that. Working codes in the meantime are tracked daily on our Udemy coupons page.
| Sale | Dates | What to expect |
|---|---|---|
| Rolling platform promos | 2–3 times per month, year-round | Most catalogue courses at Rs. 449–699; rarely more than 1–2 weeks between promos |
| Back-to-school / Labor Day | Expected 25 Aug–5 Sep 2026 | Floor pricing across career and exam-prep categories |
| Festive/October promos | Oct 2026 | Standard promo cadence continues through the festive quarter |
| Black Friday & Cyber Monday | Expected ~21–30 Nov 2026 | The annual floor: up to 95% off, widest course coverage of the year |
| Christmas & New Year sale | Expected late Dec 2026–early Jan 2027 | New-year-resolution event, matches Black Friday floors on most courses |
Dates marked expected are projections from the last three years of timing and are replaced with official dates as soon as they are announced.
Almost never. The gap between promos is typically days, not months — if a course shows its Rs. 3,499 list price today, adding it to your cart and waiting under two weeks will almost always catch the next promo. The exceptions are brand-new courses in their launch window and some business-tier content.
Black Friday's real advantage over a regular promo is coverage (nearly the whole catalogue hits the floor at once) and the psychological one: instructors' newest courses join the sale, which they often sit out during monthly promos.
If you finish more than three or four courses a year, Udemy's Personal Plan subscription usually beats buying — but sale-priced ownership wins for reference courses you revisit (a Rs. 499 course you keep forever vs a subscription that lapses). Our comparison of the plans is linked below.
Udemy has kept the same rhythm for years: near-monthly platform promos (often themed - New Year, skills week, mid-year), a back-to-school window spanning late August into early September, and the Black Friday to Cyber Monday stretch in the last week of November posting the year's lowest prices. India-store floors have held at Rs. 449-699 through 2025-26 promos.
Q. When is the next Udemy sale?
A. A back-to-school/Labor Day window is expected 25 August-5 September 2026. Between named events, platform-wide promos fire two-to-three times a month - you rarely wait more than two weeks for the Rs. 449-699 floor.
Q. When is the Udemy Black Friday sale 2026?
A. Expected in the last week of November (roughly 21-30 Nov), flowing into Cyber Monday. It is the widest sale of the year, with up to 95% off across the catalogue.
Q. Do Udemy coupon codes stack with sale prices?
A. No - instructor and site coupons apply to list price, and checkout takes whichever price is lower. During promos the sale price usually already beats coupon codes.
