November 2026 Sale Calendar India: Diwali Week, Black Friday

November 2026 has two shopping peaks and a quiet fortnight between them. Diwali week runs Friday 6 November to Tuesday 10 November, with Diwali itself on Sunday 8 November. Black Friday falls on Friday 27 November and Cyber Monday on Monday 30 November. The middle two weeks carry no fixed event at all.

Amazon's Great Indian Festival is already running into that first peak. Amazon's own newsroom posted "Amazon Great Indian Festival Diwali Edition: Up to 80% off on electronics, fashion and more" on 28 October 2026, and a festive shopping guide on 30 October. On the travel side, MakeMyTrip's own offers page carried five MMTDIWALI codes when we read it on 31 October — four stating they expire on 5 November.

Read the third column before the second. Four rows are fixed calendar dates that no merchant sets — the Diwali days, Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Three are live, verified against the merchant's own newsroom or offers page on 31 October 2026. Two are expected only: Nykaa has not announced Pink Friday and Myntra has not dated its Winter End of Reason Sale. We mark those as expected rather than printing a window as though it were confirmed, and we will update this page the day either store publishes dates.

The five-day festival runs Dhanteras on Friday 6 November through to Bhai Dooj on Tuesday 10 November, with Diwali on Sunday 8 November. Dhanteras is traditionally the buying day for metal and new appliances, which is why electronics and kitchen shelves are discounted hardest in the days immediately before it rather than on the day itself.

If you are travelling home, the clock is shorter than the festival. MakeMyTrip's own offers page carried five MMTDIWALI codes on 31 October 2026 — on flights, buses and cabs — and four of the five state that they expire on 5 November, the day before Dhanteras. One listing states 10 November. Booking after 5 November means the festival is still on but that particular code is not.

Black Friday 2026 falls on Friday 27 November, because US Thanksgiving is the fourth Thursday of the month, 26 November. Cyber Monday is Monday 30 November. Neither is an Indian festival, but the software, hosting and subscription category now treats them as the deepest-discount window of the year in India too.

Hosting is the clearest case. Hostinger's own Black Friday page was live when we read it on 31 October 2026 — the campaign starts well before the day itself. For physical goods, the Indian marketplaces have historically treated late November as a smaller follow-up to the festive season rather than a second peak, so a Black Friday badge on a product that was already discounted through Diwali week is worth checking against what it cost in October.

These are our own reads of 31 October 2026, not forecasts. They are useful as a baseline: if a November badge takes a product below the bottom of one of these ranges, the discount is real; if it lands at the median with a 70% badge on it, the badge is doing the work rather than the price.

Crocs is the clean example of a shelf where the badge is decoration. Across 49 Crocs India listings read on 31 October, every single discount was one of exactly five values — 20%, 30%, 35%, 40% or 50%. There is no 37% and no 43% anywhere on the shelf. A tier list like that moves in steps when the house decides, not because a particular pair got cheaper.

Buy before 6 November: travel, because the MMTDIWALI codes expire on the 5th; and gifting, because Diwali-week delivery slots tighten. Buy in Diwali week: large appliances and electronics, which is where the Great Indian Festival Diwali Edition is pointed — Amazon's newsroom names electronics and fashion specifically.

Wait for 27 November: hosting, domains, online courses and software subscriptions. Udemy's development shelf sat at Rs. 449 to Rs. 609 when we read 47 courses on 31 October, which is already its ordinary floor — the Black Friday window is where that floor historically moves. Do not wait for: anything on a shelf that discounts in flat tiers, like Crocs. A tier shelf does not drift down between events.

One: book travel before 5 November if you want the MMTDIWALI codes, which four of the five listings say expire that day. Two: treat the middle fortnight as the quiet period — between 10 and 27 November there is no dated event on this calendar.

Three: put hosting, domains and courses on the 27 November list. Four: ignore the badge on tier-priced shelves and compare rupees instead. Five: re-check the two unannounced events — Nykaa's Pink Friday and Myntra's Winter EORS — rather than planning around an expected window. We update this page when either store publishes dates. Prices and offers change without notice.
