We read every adult winter-accessory listing AJIO and Myntra returned on 22 October 2026 - 173 and 89 of them, after stripping rows whose own titles say boys, girls or kids. Their median prices land seventy-one rupees apart, Rs. 399 against Rs. 470, and their median badges five points apart. On price, these are much the same shelf.
The real difference is not a price at all. Myntra publishes a star rating on 51 of its 89 listings, with pools up to 53,771. AJIO publishes one on none of its 173. On a shelf where you cannot feel the wool, that is the only independent signal either site has to offer.
📅 Update log:
22 Oct 2026: first published. AJIO figures read from its own search API (beanie, gloves, muffler, winter cap; two pages each); Myntra figures from its own /caps, /gloves and /mufflers-scarves listing pages. Both read the same day, logged out, from India, nothing purchased.
We read every adult winter-accessory listing AJIO and Myntra returned on 22 October 2026 - 173 and 89 of them respectively, after stripping rows whose own titles say boys, girls or kids. Their median prices land seventy-one rupees apart. Almost everything else about the two shelves is different.
The single biggest difference is not a price at all. Myntra publishes a star rating on 51 of its 89 listings. AJIO publishes one on none of its 173.
The two shelves, side by side
| Measure | AJIO | Myntra |
|---|
| Listings read (adult only) | 173 | 89 |
| Price range | Rs. 120 to Rs. 3,900 | Rs. 157 to Rs. 99,690 |
| Median price | Rs. 399 | Rs. 499 (Rs. 470 excluding luxury) |
| Median badge | 50% | 52% (55% excluding luxury) |
| Badge range | 3% to 77% | 0% to 85% |
| Median stated MRP | Rs. 899 | Rs. 999 |
| Median stated MRP as a multiple of price | 2.00x | 2.22x ex-luxury |
| Listings publishing a star rating | 0 of 173 | 51 of 89 |
| Median rating pool where published | — | 146 ratings (deepest 53,771) |
| Listings over Rs. 10,000 | 0 | 9 (all Gucci or Burberry) |
On price the two are close. AJIO's median is Rs. 399 and Myntra's Rs. 470 once the designer scarves are set aside - and their median badges, 50% and 55%, are nearly as close. If you were expecting one of these shelves to be obviously the cheaper, this read does not find it.
On shape they are not close at all. AJIO's winter listings stop at Rs. 3,900. Myntra's run to Rs. 99,690, because its scarf path returns Gucci and Burberry alongside Rs. 227 stoles. We have quoted Myntra both ways throughout, because those nine listings barely move the median price but substantially move the badge, the MRP multiple and the ceiling.
And on information they are not comparable. Neither site lets you touch the wool, so the review count is the only independent signal either can offer - and one of them offers it on nothing.
AJIO publishes no rating on a single winter listing
Zero of 173. Not a star average, not a review count, on any beanie, cap, glove or muffler AJIO returned in this read. Myntra published one on 51 of its 89, at a median pool of 146 ratings and a maximum of 53,771.
This is AJIO's own publishing behaviour, not a gap in our reading. We pull AJIO prices from its own search API, which returns a rating field; the field is empty on every row. We have found the same on its other category shelves, so it is a site-wide pattern rather than a winter one.
What it means practically is narrow but real. On a page like this you have three things to go on: the price, the brand, and the listing's own description of itself. The rating count is the only one of those a seller cannot set unilaterally, and on AJIO it is not there. That is not a criticism of the products - it is a statement about what each site chooses to publish.
Seventeen listings badged exactly 60%, and four priced at exactly Rs. 595
| Label | Listings | Price range | Badge behaviour |
|---|
| WHYME (AJIO) | 17 | Rs. 252 to Rs. 560 | Exactly 60% on every one |
| Zamour (Myntra) | 4 | Exactly Rs. 595 on every one | 15% |
| Indie Picks (AJIO) | 8 | Rs. 290 to Rs. 406 | 65% or 75%, nothing between |
| YOUSTA (AJIO) | 19 | Rs. 120 to Rs. 269 | 20%, 40% or 60%, nothing between |
| H&M (Myntra) | 6 | Rs. 699 to Rs. 1,499 | 0% on five of six, 30% on the other |
| HRX by Hrithik Roshan (Myntra) | 5 | Rs. 351 to Rs. 799 | 60%, 61% or 62% |
WHYME is the cleanest case. Seventeen AJIO listings, selling anywhere from Rs. 252 to Rs. 560 - a 2.2x price range - and every single one badged 60%, not a point either side. The percentage is clearly a pricing rule applied across the label, which means it tells you nothing about any individual item in it.
Myntra's version runs the other way round. Four Zamour listings sell at exactly Rs. 595 each, all badged 15%. There the price is the constant and the products vary.
H&M is the outlier worth naming. Five of its six Myntra listings are badged 0% - they print a stated MRP equal to the selling price - and the sixth is badged 30%. Eight listings in the whole Myntra read badge 0%, and five of them are H&M. AJIO's shallowest badge anywhere is 3%. A sort by discount removes all of these from view, which is worth knowing if you are shopping that way.
None of this is an accusation. Setting a uniform discount across a label, or no discount at all, is ordinary commerce. The point is only that a badge which never varies is a property of the brand's pricing policy rather than of the garment.
The three brands that sit on both shelves
| Brand | AJIO listings | AJIO prices and badges | Myntra listings | Myntra prices and badges |
|---|
| Decathlon | 34 | Rs. 149 to Rs. 1,799, badged 3% to 56% | 1 | Rs. 349, badged 50%, 825 ratings |
| Puma | 2 | Rs. 400 and Rs. 1,264, both badged exactly 60% | 2 | Both Rs. 359, both badged 55%, both reporting 53,771 ratings |
| MUFFLY | 1 | Rs. 837, badged 69% | 5 | Rs. 354 to Rs. 3,177, badged 77% to 83% |
Decathlon is an AJIO shelf. Thirty-four listings there against one on Myntra - ski beanies at Rs. 149, trekking gloves at Rs. 1,489, badges running from 3% to 56%. If you are shopping that brand specifically, the two sites are not really alternatives.
MUFFLY runs the opposite way and the badges diverge sharply. Its single AJIO listing is badged 69%; its five Myntra listings are badged 77% to 83%. These are different products, not the same scarf at two prices, so the gap is not a like-for-like saving - but the badge bands are consistently different, which is the sort of thing worth checking before you trust a percentage across sites.
Puma produces the one duplicate-listing signature in the read. Its two Myntra listings sell at an identical Rs. 359, badged 55%, and both report exactly 53,771 ratings. An identical rating count across two listings is the ordinary fingerprint of one product listed twice; it is routine, and it means that 53,771 - the deepest pool anywhere in this read - is one pool, not two.
Where each shelf begins and ends
AJIO's floor is a Rs. 120 pair of YOUSTA women's winter gloves, and its ceiling is an EA7 Emporio Armani beanie at Rs. 3,900. That is a 32.5x range, and the whole shelf fits inside it.
Myntra's floor is a Rs. 157 SELLORIA cotton baseball cap. Its ceiling, excluding the designer scarves, is a MUFFLY wool-silk stole at Rs. 3,177 - almost exactly where AJIO stops. Include the Gucci and Burberry rows and the ceiling becomes Rs. 99,690, which is 635 times the floor of the same shelf.
One caveat that applies to both and that we applied before computing anything. Both sites mix kidswear into these queries. We stripped every row whose own title says boys, girls, kids, infant, baby or toddler - seven rows from AJIO and seven from Myntra - because leaving them in pulls both medians down and makes the shelves look cheaper than they are. The counts on this page are the adult rows only.
What this page does not tell you
Nothing here was bought, unpacked, worn or washed. "Merino Wool", "Fine Wool Silk", "Water Repellent", "Moisture Management" and the rest are the listings' own printed descriptions, reproduced and not independently verified. We make no claim about fibre content, warmth, weave, water resistance or how long any of it lasts, and we are not suggesting any description is inaccurate. On a winter shelf that gap matters more than usual, because fibre content is exactly what separates a Rs. 299 muffler from a Rs. 3,177 one and a listing page cannot establish it.
Nor is this a like-for-like comparison. Only three brands appear on both shelves, and even there the specific products differ - a Decathlon ski beanie on AJIO is not the Decathlon cycling cap on Myntra. Every brand figure on this page is a median across whatever each site happened to list, and the two sites' category paths do not cover the same ground: AJIO's query set returns gym and sports gloves in quantity, Myntra's scarf path returns designer accessories.
And it does not tell you today's price. Every figure was returned on 22 October 2026, at the start of the Indian winter season when both shelves move quickly. A stated MRP is the figure a listing prints, and nothing here says any of these figures is false or improper. Check the live listing before buying.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is AJIO or Myntra cheaper for winter caps and gloves in October 2026?
AJIO, but by about seventy rupees at the median rather than by anything dramatic. Across the 262 adult listings we read on 22 October 2026, AJIO's median price was Rs. 399 and Myntra's Rs. 470 once nine Gucci and Burberry scarves are set aside. Median badges were 50% and 55%. The shelves differ far more in shape than in price: AJIO's runs Rs. 120 to Rs. 3,900 and stops, while Myntra's runs from Rs. 157 to Rs. 99,690. Brand by brand the picture flips both ways - MUFFLY scarves are much cheaper on Myntra, Decathlon is barely present there at all.
Why do AJIO winter listings show no star ratings?
Because AJIO does not publish one on any of them. In this read 0 of AJIO's 173 adult winter listings carried a star average or a review count, while 51 of Myntra's 89 did - median pool 146 ratings, deepest 53,771. This is AJIO's own publishing behaviour and not a gap in our reading; we have seen the same absence on its other category shelves. The practical consequence is that an AJIO winter page rests entirely on price, brand and the product description, with no independent signal to check any of them against. On a shelf where you cannot feel the wool, that is the one number that neither a strike-through nor a badge can set.
Why are seventeen AJIO listings all badged exactly 60% off?
Because the label they belong to prices that way across its whole range. Seventeen WHYME listings in this read are badged exactly 60% - not 59% or 61% on any of them - across selling prices from Rs. 252 to Rs. 560, which is a 2.2x price range at a single unchanging percentage. Several other labels do something similar at lower resolution: YOUSTA's 19 listings use only 20%, 40% and 60%, and Indie Picks' eight use only 65% and 75%. Myntra's version is the mirror image: four Zamour listings sell at exactly Rs. 595 each, all badged 15%. Setting a uniform discount across a label's range is ordinary commerce - the useful part is that it tells you the badge is a pricing rule, not a per-product decision, and so carries no information about any individual item.
Why does Myntra's scarf shelf run to nearly a lakh of rupees?
Because nine listings on it are Gucci and Burberry. Myntra's /mufflers-scarves path returns designer scarves alongside Rs. 227 chiffon stoles. In this read nine listings sold between Rs. 44,590 and Rs. 99,690 - five Gucci and four Burberry - at a median of Rs. 53,890. They are badged 0% to 20%, median 15%, against a shelf median of 55%, and their median stated MRP multiple is 1.18x against the rest of the shelf's 2.22x. We have quoted Myntra's shelf both ways on this page because including them moves the median price by Rs. 29 but moves the median badge, the MRP multiple and the price ceiling a great deal. AJIO's winter shelf has nothing at all above Rs. 3,900.
Which brands sell winter accessories on both AJIO and Myntra?
Only three in this read - Decathlon, Puma and MUFFLY - and each behaves differently. Decathlon is effectively an AJIO shelf: 34 listings there, from Rs. 149 to Rs. 1,799 and badged 3% to 56%, against exactly one on Myntra. MUFFLY runs the other way: one AJIO listing at Rs. 837 badged 69%, against five on Myntra from Rs. 354 to Rs. 3,177 badged 77% to 83%. Puma is the strangest: its two Myntra listings sell at an identical Rs. 359, badged 55%, and both report the same 53,771-rating pool - the ordinary signature of one product listed twice, which also makes it the deepest review pool in this entire read. These are brand medians across whatever each site listed, not like-for-like model comparisons; nothing here was handled. Figures were read on 22 October 2026 - check the live listing before buying.
Prices & codes last verified: October 22, 2026
All prices, stated MRPs, discount badges, star averages and rating counts on this page were read from ajio.com's and myntra.com's own listing data on 22 October 2026, logged out, from India. Rows whose titles identify them as kidswear were excluded before any median was computed. Nothing was purchased, worn or washed, and no claim is made about fibre content, warmth, weave, water resistance or durability - those descriptions are the listings' own and are not independently verified. Brand figures are medians across whatever each site listed and are not like-for-like model comparisons. A stated MRP is the figure a listing prints; nothing here asserts that any such figure is false or improper, and setting a uniform discount across a label is ordinary commerce.
