Twenty-two drills, drivers and kits read on 20 September. For once the best-known name holds the biggest rating counts - and a quarter of the shelf prints an MRP that cannot be true.
We read Amazon's drill, screwdriver and tool kit listings on 20 September 2026 and seated 22 of the 86 unique non-sponsored results. Most category pages we price end the same way - the biggest rating counts sit under the cheapest unbranded listings. This one does not. Bosch holds three of the four largest samples on the shelf, its badges are middling, and the 70-per-cent claims belong to names you will not recognise. The other thing to know before you shop it: 23 of the 86 listings print an MRP that cannot be real.
Every price below was pulled from Amazon on September 20, 2026 and checked against the MRP on the listing. Stack them with the live codes on our Amazon coupons page, which the deals desk re-verifies daily.

Rs. 4,499 for the Bosch GSB 10 RE corded tool kit, 100 pieces - 4.4 from 21,007 ratings, Rs. 100 above the bare GSB 500 RE.
Why it earned its spot A hundred rupees more than the drill alone, for a hundred pieces around it - and the smallest badge in this chapter.
First: ignore any percentage on this shelf until you have looked at the two numbers. A quarter of the listings we read print an MRP that is either a hundred times the price or lower than it, and Amazon shows a badge off some of them anyway. Second: read the rating count. Five listings here carry more than twelve thousand ratings each and three of those are Bosch, which is unusual enough to be worth acting on. Third: buy the tool for the wall you have. A 12V cordless driver will not drill concrete no matter what it costs - Rs. 2,099 or Rs. 3,739 - and a 500 to 600 W corded impact drill, from Rs. 3,233 here, will. Fourth: when a drill and a drill-plus-kit are within a few hundred rupees of each other, take the kit. Bosch's GSB 10 RE with a hundred accessories costs Rs. 100 more than the bare GSB 500 RE.

Every selling price, stated MRP, discount badge, rating average and rating count on this page was read on 20 September 2026 from amazon.in's own search results for cordless drill machine, screwdriver set and power tool kit, logged out, in India. 86 unique non-sponsored listings were pulled; 22 are seated.
23 of the 86 listings printed a stated MRP that cannot be real - several exactly 100 times the selling price (a Rs. 1,562 drill against Rs. 1,56,200) and several lower than the price (a Rs. 199 kit against Rs. 24). None of them is seated and no percentage is calculated from any of them.
This shelf is unusually well sampled: five listings carry more than twelve thousand ratings each. Every card prints the count as published, and a rating pill appears only where a listing carries at least 20 ratings.
A discount percentage is the gap between a selling price and an MRP the seller states. The smallest claim seated here is 10 per cent, from Stanley; the largest is 72, from a brand with 2,526 ratings. We have not verified that any tool sold at its stated MRP.
Amazon Basics is Amazon's own label, so the platform sets the price, writes the MRP and hosts the ratings. One listing here is Amazon Basics and its card says so.
Wattage, voltage, torque figures, chuck sizes, brushless motors, steel grades and piece counts are the listings' own text, quoted as such. We have not tested any of these tools and make no claim about how any of them performs or lasts.
Among listings with a usable stated MRP in our 20 September 2026 read, the IZOM 12V cordless drill set at Rs. 2,099, with 38 accessories and 4.0 from 1,971 ratings. Twelve volts will drive screws and drill wood or plasterboard; it will not drill concrete. For masonry you need a corded impact drill, which starts at Rs. 3,233 on this page and runs to Rs. 4,499 for the best-rated Bosch kit.
The Bosch GSB 500 RE at Rs. 4,399, with 4.4 from 26,243 ratings, followed by the Bosch GSB 10 RE 100-piece kit at Rs. 4,499 with 21,007. The largest count anywhere in our read is not a drill at all: it is the Bosch X-Line bit set at Rs. 680 with 27,647 ratings. Those three listings mean one brand holds three of the four biggest samples on the shelf.
Because the MRP field on those listings is wrong, and it is wrong in a recognisable way: the figure is exactly 100 times the selling price. In our read a Rs. 1,562 iBELL drill showed Rs. 1,56,200 and a Rs. 2,499 Enon drill showed Rs. 2,49,900. Four other listings show an MRP lower than the price, such as a Rs. 199 kit against Rs. 24. Twenty-three of the 86 listings we read are affected. Treat any percentage attached to them as meaningless and compare rupee prices instead.
On what Amazon publishes, the gap is smaller than the brand gap suggests. The iBELL TD13-100 kit at Rs. 3,591 carries 4.1 from 12,692 ratings against the Bosch GSB 500 RE at Rs. 4,399 with 4.4 from 26,243 - Rs. 808 for three tenths of a star and twice the feedback, plus a wider service network. Below that, the Rs. 2,099 IZOM 12V set has 1,971 ratings at 4.0. We have not tested any of them; this reads their listings, not their gearboxes.
If you already own a drill, the Bosch X-Line bit set at Rs. 680 - 27,647 ratings at 4.4, cobalt steel named in the listing, and a 28 per cent badge. If you own nothing, the Bosch 12-piece hand tool kit at Rs. 1,542 (12,690 ratings) covers more household jobs than a drill does. If you specifically need holes in a wall, the Bosch GSB 10 RE 100-piece kit at Rs. 4,499 is the best-evidenced drill-plus-accessories listing in the read.
