Amazon Mixer Grinder Under Rs. 5,000: 750W Prices, August 2026

Three mixer grinders from this August 2026 read of Amazon.in listings - a Prestige four-jar grinder, a mint-green Bosch TrueMixx and a black Bajaj Rex with its steel jars
Zoutons Picks — Amazon, August 2026

Amazon's own mixer grinder listings, read on 22 August. The number on the box turns out to predict nothing about the price, and the best-selling machine on the shelf is not the best-liked one.

Prices & codes last verified August 22, 2026

We read 46 Amazon mixer grinder listings on 22 August 2026 and seated 25, priced Rs. 1,249 to Rs. 8,499. Thirteen of them state 750 watts, and those thirteen run from Rs. 1,599 to Rs. 5,640 - the same printed number across a 3.5x price range, with Bosch selling two of them two thousand rupees apart. The evidence tells a second story. The shelf's best-seller, the Prestige Iris at Rs. 3,649, has 74,739 reviews and a 3.8 average, while a Rs. 1,799 NutriPro carries 4.4 from 19,587.

Four rules for buying a mixer grinder on Amazon

First: ignore the wattage as a price signal, because thirteen listings in this read print 750 watts across a 3.5x price range and one of them hedges the figure into "up to". Second: read the review count before the average - a 5.0 from four people and a 3.8 from seventy-four thousand are not the same kind of number. Third: decide whether you want a blender, a bullet or a conventional four-jar mixie before you compare prices, because Amazon returns all three for one search and they are not upgrades of each other. Fourth: check the live coupon page before checkout, the same discipline we applied to Amazon kitchen appliance prices, because bank and card offers land on top of the listing price.

What we skipped — and why

What we skipped, and why: sponsored placements throughout, and every listing that Amazon returned twice under two ASINs with one product photograph - the same NutriPro, Cookwell, Longway, Prestige, Philips and Maharaja machines came back repeatedly across our three searches, and seating a product twice would have inflated both the shelf and its apparent brand spread. We also dropped a portable USB blender that appeared under two ASINs with an identical 3.2 rating and 3,626 reviews, a cordless Ninja travel blender that is not a mixer grinder in any useful sense, and one bundle listing that pairs a mixer grinder with a dry iron, because its price cannot be attributed to either appliance. Everything seated here is a distinct product with its own photograph, its own price and its own published review record.

What we look for

We treat the wattage on the box as a label, not as a specification you are paying for

Thirteen of the 25 listings seated here state 750 watts, and they cost between Rs. 1,599 and Rs. 5,640 - a 3.5x spread on an identical printed number. One of them, Longway's, hedges the claim into 'Up to 750W Max Output', which is a peak draw rather than a delivered rating. Bosch alone sells two 750W machines on this page two thousand rupees apart. We have printed every listing's stated wattage in its specs because it is a fact about the listing, and we have refused to build a single buying recommendation on it, because on this shelf the number predicts nothing about the price and nothing we can verify about the machine.

We read the review count before the average, and show a rating pill only above fifty reviews

Samples in this read run from four to 74,739. A 5.0 from four people (Panasonic, Rs. 4,199) and a 4.2 from 73 (Bosch, Rs. 8,499) are not comparable to a 3.8 from 74,739 (Prestige Iris) and treating them as one column would rank the least-known machines highest. Three seated listings - Panasonic at 4, Rico at 14 and Bosch's flagship at 73 - carry no rating pill, with their counts printed in the specification line instead. Two more, Cello at 512 and Odacio at 169, clear the floor but are flagged in their write-ups as thin for the money.

We separate blenders, bullet grinders and conventional mixies rather than ranking them as one shelf

A 300W Pigeon that makes smoothies, a five-jar Cookwell bullet that inverts onto its base, and a four-jar Butterfly mixie that grinds a kilogram of wet batter are three different tools that Amazon returns for one search. Sorted purely by price, the bullet would read as an upgrade over the blender and a downgrade from the mixie, and it is neither. Every card here names which of the three you are looking at and what it will not do - the bullet will not handle large wet loads, the 300W blender will not grind dry masala - so the price ladder never implies a capability ladder.

We name a stated MRP as a claim and never convert a large badge into a recommendation

The badges in this read run from 24 per cent (Panasonic) to 70 (NutriPro's three-jar listing, off a stated Rs. 6,000 on a Rs. 1,799 machine). Preethi's Rs. 3,799 grinder states Rs. 9,455 and prints 60 per cent. We have not verified that any product here ever sold at its stated MRP, and the pattern on this shelf runs the other way from what the badges imply: the best-evidenced machines - Butterfly at 36 per cent, Panasonic at 24, Bosch at 38 - carry the smallest claims. Where a good product wears an oversized badge, we have said so on the card rather than quoting the number approvingly.

FAQs

Which mixer grinder should I actually buy on Amazon right now?

If you want the best-liked machine on the shelf and can spend the money, the Sujata Powermatic Maxima at Rs. 6,990 carries 4.5 from 10,837 people - the highest average in this read with a five-figure sample behind it. If you want the best value on the same test, the three-jar NutriPro at Rs. 1,799 has 4.4 from 19,587, which is a remarkable record at that price. In the middle, the Bajaj Military Series Rex at Rs. 3,699 has 4.0 from 5,967 and the Preethi Diamond at Rs. 3,799 has 4.0 from 16,294. Note what is not on that list: the Prestige Iris, the best-selling mixer grinder on the page with 74,739 reviews, averages 3.8.

Does a 750W mixer grinder grind better than a 500W one?

Not in any way this shelf can demonstrate. Thirteen seated listings state 750 watts and they cost between Rs. 1,599 and Rs. 5,640, so the figure does not even predict price, let alone performance. Three machines on this page cost exactly Rs. 3,499 at 750W, 750W and 500W respectively, and the 500W Havells rates between the two 750W machines. Longway's listing states 'Up to 750W Max Output', which is peak draw rather than a continuous rating - a genuinely different claim printed as the same number. What actually determines grinding performance is blade speed, jar geometry, motor construction and duty cycle, and almost no listing here publishes any of them; Havells' Klassic printing 21,000 RPM is a rare exception.

What is the difference between a mixer grinder, a juicer mixer grinder and a bullet grinder?

A mixer grinder is the conventional Indian mixie: a base motor with two to four screw-on steel jars for dry masala, wet chutney and batter. A juicer mixer grinder adds a centrifugal juicer attachment with a pulp container, which is what the Havells Vitonica and Sujata listings here are selling. A bullet grinder, like the Rs. 2,199 Cookwell on this page, has jars that screw onto the blade assembly and invert onto the base - faster for small quantities, poor for large wet loads, and usually supplied with more jars. Amazon returns all three for a single search, so check which one a listing actually is before comparing prices; a five-jar bullet at Rs. 2,199 and a four-jar mixie at Rs. 3,269 are not competing for the same job.

Why does the most-reviewed mixer grinder have a below-average rating?

We can report the pattern but not explain it. The Prestige Iris at Rs. 3,649 has 74,739 reviews averaging 3.8 - more than double the crowd of anything else here and a lower average than the Rs. 1,275 Lifelong (3.9), the Rs. 1,799 NutriPro (4.4) and the Rs. 2,199 Cookwell (4.3). One reasonable reading is that a product sold in enormous volume over many years accumulates every kind of buyer, including those it was never right for, while a newer or narrower product is reviewed mostly by people who chose it deliberately. Another is simply that it is a merely adequate machine that a great many people bought anyway. Prestige's own Astra Neo, Rs. 241 dearer, averages 4.1 - on a fiftieth of the sample.

Are the discount badges on Amazon mixer grinders real?

They are arithmetic over two numbers Amazon displays, and only one of those numbers is a price you can pay. The badges in this read run from 24 per cent to 70. The Rs. 1,799 NutriPro states an MRP of Rs. 6,000; the Rs. 3,799 Preethi states Rs. 9,455. We have not verified that any machine here was ever sold at its stated MRP and we would not build a purchase on those figures. The instructive pattern is that the badge and the evidence run in opposite directions on this shelf: Butterfly at 36 per cent, Bosch at 38 and Panasonic at 24 are among the more restrained claims, while the largest badges sit on the machines with the thinnest published specifications.

More Amazon coverage on Zoutons

How Zoutons picks deals Zoutons may earn a commission when you buy through links on this page. Every price, stated MRP, discount percentage, rating and review count here was read on 22 August 2026 from amazon.in's own search results across three queries - mixer grinder, mixer grinder 750 watt and juicer mixer grinder - with sponsored placements dropped. Forty-six distinct listings came back; the 25 seated here were chosen for price spread and product type after removing duplicate ASINs and any listing whose product photograph had already been used, since Amazon lists several of these machines twice. Amazon prices change frequently and can differ once a coupon, bank offer or card discount is applied at checkout - re-check before paying. An MRP is the figure the listing states and we have not verified that any product here was ever sold at it, so every discount percentage on this page is arithmetic over Amazon's own two numbers rather than a measured saving. Wattage, RPM, jar counts, motor and blade descriptions are quoted from the listings themselves and are reported rather than tested; we have not used any appliance on this page. Ratings and review counts are Amazon's own and can in some cases be shared across variants of the same product rather than belonging to a single listing.
