We rendered GoDaddy's own India hosting page on 20 August 2026 and transcribed all four plan cards. Hosting starts at Rs. 89.00 a month, and the card that says so also says Rs. 299.00, struck through, and ‘For first 3-yr term’ underneath.

That is the whole story of this page. Three years of Starter costs Rs. 3,204; one year afterwards at the standard rate costs Rs. 3,588. Below are all four plans, what each includes, what each costs across the full term, and what the step-up looks like when the term ends.

GoDaddy Hosting Prices in India Today, 20 August 2026

GoDaddy advertises web hosting in India from Rs. 89.00 a month. That figure is real, and it is also a first-term price: GoDaddy's own plan card shows Rs. 299.00 struck through above it and the words ‘For first 3-yr term’ below. All four hosting plans on the page work the same way.

That makes the arithmetic straightforward, which is the useful part. Thirty-six months of the Starter plan at Rs. 89 comes to Rs. 3,204. A single year afterwards at the standard Rs. 299 comes to Rs. 3,588 - more for one year than the first three cost together. The same shape applies to every plan below.

The cheapest plan is not the cheapest plan if you need a domain. Starter at Rs. 89/mo includes no free domain and no email; Economy at Rs. 219/mo includes both plus an SSL certificate for a year. If you were going to buy a domain anyway, compare the Rs. 130 monthly difference against what the domain and mailbox would cost you separately before taking the headline price.

What Each Plan Actually Includes

The four plans are separated by three things: how many websites you can host, how much NVMe storage you get, and whether a domain, email and SSL certificate are bundled. Every plan runs on cPanel and carries a 30-day money-back guarantee.

The step that matters most for a first website is Starter to Economy. Storage goes from 10 GB to 25 GB, and the free domain, free email and a one-year SSL certificate appear. The step from Economy to Deluxe buys multiplicity rather than capability - ten websites instead of one - and unlimited SSL across them.

The Three-Year Cost, and What Year Four Looks Like

Because every advertised price here is a first-term price, the honest way to compare hosting is over the whole term plus what follows. The table below multiplies each first-term monthly figure by 36 months, then shows what twelve months at GoDaddy's own struck-through standard rate would cost.

On the Starter plan the standard rate is 236 per cent higher per month than the introductory one. On Deluxe it is 158 per cent higher, the gentlest step on the page. None of this is hidden - both numbers sit on the same plan card - but the headline is the small one, and the renewal is where hosting decisions are usually regretted.

How we read these prices, and what we cannot tell you

We rendered godaddy.com/en-in/hosting/web-hosting and godaddy.com/en-in/websites/website-builder in a headless browser on 20 August 2026 and transcribed the plan cards exactly as GoDaddy presents them: plan name, discount badge, struck-through price, offer price, the term the offer applies to, website count, storage and the bulleted inclusions. The in.godaddy.com domain serves a privacy interstitial to our servers, so the www.godaddy.com/en-in path is the one we read.

What we cannot tell you from the plan cards: whether the struck-through figure is charged monthly or annually on renewal, what GST adds at checkout, what the free domain is worth or which extensions it covers - GoDaddy marks it with an asterisk pointing to product disclaimers - whether the free domain renews free after the first year, and what a shorter one-year term costs, since the cards quote only the three-year term. The website-builder cards state a monthly price and an annual-plan saving without a struck-through figure, so we have not calculated a renewal step-up for them. We have not bought any plan, and prices on this page change frequently - check the cart total before paying.

GoDaddy Website Builder Prices

The website-builder plans are priced separately from hosting and include hosting themselves, so they are an alternative rather than an addition. Three tiers were live on 20 August 2026, and unlike the hosting cards they show a saving tied to an annual plan rather than a three-year term.

Worth noting before comparing them with the hosting plans: the entry builder tier at Rs. 249 a month costs Rs. 30 more than the Economy hosting plan at Rs. 219, and the two are not the same purchase - one is a drag-and-drop site builder with hosting included, the other is cPanel hosting you install WordPress or another CMS on yourself.

PlanPriceWhat GoDaddy states
Website Builder, entry tierRs. 249/moSave 66% with annual plan
Website Builder, middle tierRs. 599/moSave 57% with annual plan
Website Builder, top tierRs. 899/moSave 40% with annual plan

How to Pay Less for Hosting Than the Headline

  • Work out the total, not the monthly. Rs. 89 a month is Rs. 3,204 over the three-year term the offer requires - that is the number to compare against other hosts.
  • Check the renewal before the discount. GoDaddy prints the standard rate on the same card: Rs. 299, Rs. 599, Rs. 849 and Rs. 1,099 a month for the four plans.
  • Count the domain and the mailbox. Starter includes neither; Economy includes both. The Rs. 130 monthly gap between them is the real comparison, not the Rs. 89 headline.
  • Do not buy websites you do not have. Deluxe and Ultimate differ from Economy mainly in hosting 10 and 25 sites instead of one.
  • Check the coupon page before checkout, because hosting promotions and cart-level codes on this store change more often than the plan cards do.
  • Read the asterisks. The free domain, the SSL and the uptime guarantee all carry disclaimer markers on GoDaddy's own page.
Zoutons Verdict

GoDaddy's Indian hosting page is more honest than most: the standard rate and the term are printed on the same card as the offer price, which is not something every host does. The catch is the shape of the deal rather than any concealment - all four plans are three-year commitments, and the step-up at renewal runs from 158 to 236 per cent.

For a first website, Economy at Rs. 219 a month is the plan the specification points at: 25 GB, a free domain, email and an SSL certificate, for Rs. 7,884 across the three-year term. Starter at Rs. 89 is genuinely cheap at Rs. 3,204 for three years, but you will be buying a domain separately and doing without email. Deluxe and Ultimate are for people hosting ten or twenty-five sites, and if that is you, the per-site arithmetic is the best on the page.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does GoDaddy hosting cost in India?
As read from GoDaddy's own India plan cards on 20 August 2026, web hosting starts at Rs. 89.00 a month for the Starter plan, with Economy at Rs. 219, Deluxe at Rs. 329 and Ultimate at Rs. 399. Every one of those is a first-term price tied to a three-year commitment, which GoDaddy states on the card as ‘For first 3-yr term’. The struck-through standard rates on the same cards are Rs. 299, Rs. 599, Rs. 849 and Rs. 1,099 a month. Over the full three-year term the four plans work out at Rs. 3,204, Rs. 7,884, Rs. 11,844 and Rs. 14,364 respectively, before GST and before any domain you buy separately. Prices on this page change frequently - check the cart total before paying.
Does GoDaddy hosting get more expensive after the first term?
GoDaddy's plan cards show a struck-through price above each offer price and mark the offer as applying to the first three-year term, so the higher figure is the standard rate the plan carries outside that term. On the Starter plan that is Rs. 299 a month against Rs. 89 - 236 per cent higher. On Economy it is Rs. 599 against Rs. 219, on Deluxe Rs. 849 against Rs. 329, and on Ultimate Rs. 1,099 against Rs. 399, which are step-ups of 174, 158 and 175 per cent. Twelve months of Starter at the standard rate costs Rs. 3,588, which is more than the entire three-year introductory term costs at Rs. 3,204. What the cards do not state is the exact billing mechanics on renewal, so treat the standard rate as the number to plan around and check your renewal notice.
Which GoDaddy hosting plan is best for one website?
On what the plan cards state, Economy at Rs. 219 a month. Starter at Rs. 89 gives you one website, 10 GB of NVMe storage, cPanel and a 30-day money-back guarantee, but no domain, no email and no SSL certificate listed among its inclusions. Economy adds 25 GB of storage, a free domain, free email and a free SSL certificate for one year for Rs. 130 more a month. If you were going to register a domain and want a mailbox on it, that Rs. 130 is doing real work. If you already own a domain elsewhere and do not need email, Starter is the cheaper route at Rs. 3,204 over three years against Economy's Rs. 7,884. Deluxe and Ultimate only make sense if you are hosting ten or twenty-five sites.
Is GoDaddy's website builder cheaper than its hosting?
No, and they are different products. The three website-builder tiers we read on 20 August 2026 are priced at Rs. 249, Rs. 599 and Rs. 899 a month, with savings of 66, 57 and 40 per cent stated against an annual plan. The entry builder tier at Rs. 249 costs Rs. 30 a month more than the Economy hosting plan at Rs. 219. The difference is what you are buying: the builder is a drag-and-drop site editor with hosting bundled in and nothing to install, while the hosting plans give you cPanel and expect you to install WordPress, Joomla, Magento or Drupal yourself. Unlike the hosting cards, the builder cards do not show a struck-through standard rate, so we cannot tell you what they renew at.
Are GoDaddy's discount percentages real?
They are arithmetically consistent with the two prices GoDaddy prints, which is more than can be said for many discount badges. Save 70 per cent on Starter is Rs. 89 against Rs. 299; Save 63 per cent on Economy is Rs. 219 against Rs. 599; Save 61 per cent on Deluxe is Rs. 329 against Rs. 849; and Save 63 per cent on Ultimate is Rs. 399 against Rs. 1,099. The badges are not ordered by price - Ultimate carries a bigger badge than Deluxe - which is a reminder that the percentage is set by the pair of numbers on each card rather than by value. The thing the badge does not tell you is that the discount applies to a three-year term and the struck-through figure is what the plan costs after it.

Every plan name, price, struck-through standard rate, discount badge, storage figure, website count and inclusion on this page was transcribed from godaddy.com/en-in's own hosting and website-builder plan cards on 20 August 2026, read in a rendered browser session because the in.godaddy.com domain serves a privacy interstitial to our servers. The three-year and twelve-month totals on this page are our own arithmetic on GoDaddy's stated monthly figures - 36 or 12 times the monthly price - and are shown before GST and before any domain, email or add-on purchased separately; they are not quotes from GoDaddy and not what will appear in your cart. GoDaddy states the offer prices as applying to a first three-year term and prints the standard rate on the same card; what we cannot tell you from the card is the exact billing mechanics at renewal, whether a free domain renews free, which domain extensions it covers, or what a shorter term costs. The free domain, SSL certificate and uptime guarantee all carry disclaimer markers on GoDaddy's own page and their terms are on GoDaddy's product disclaimer pages.
