Hostinger prints its renewal rate next to its headline rate, which is more than most hosts do. Put all five pairs side by side and the ladder tells you something the percentages never will.
📅 Update log:
7 November 2026: first published. All plan rates, upfront totals and renewal rates read from hostinger.in/pricing (which redirects to hostinger.com/in/pricing), logged out, from India. A Sale Season promotion offering double AI credits was live across every tier at the time of reading.
Hostinger's pricing page publishes two numbers for every plan, and almost all the attention goes to the first one. We read hostinger.in/pricing on 7 November 2026, logged out, from India, and wrote down both.
The headline rates are Rs. 69, Rs. 139, Rs. 199, Rs. 599 and Rs. 2,499 a month, badged 83%, 80%, 75%, 65% and 50% off. Underneath each one, in smaller type, Hostinger states exactly what you pay today and exactly what the plan renews at. It is more disclosure than most hosts give, and it rewards reading.
Put the five renewal rates next to the five badges and a pattern falls out: the deeper the advertised discount, the bigger the jump when the term ends.
Before anything else: the "per month" figure is not a monthly bill. Hostinger's own line on the page reads: "All plans are paid upfront. The monthly rate reflects the total plan price divided by the number of months in your plan." The Rs. 69 plan is Rs. 3,312 charged today, for 48 months.
The whole ladder, as Hostinger prints it
| Plan | Badge | List rate | Intro rate | You pay today | Then renews at |
|---|
| Single | 83% off | Rs. 399 | Rs. 69 | Rs. 3,312 | Rs. 289 |
| Premium | 80% off | Rs. 679 | Rs. 139 | Rs. 6,672 | Rs. 449 |
| Business | 75% off | Rs. 799 | Rs. 199 | Rs. 9,552 | Rs. 649 |
| Cloud Startup | 65% off | Rs. 1,699 | Rs. 599 | Rs. 28,752 | Rs. 1,599 |
| Agency Startup (24 mo) | 50% off | Rs. 4,999 | Rs. 2,499 | Rs. 59,976 | Rs. 3,499 |
The arithmetic is clean on all five — the intro rate times the term equals the upfront figure to the rupee. Rs. 69 × 48 is Rs. 3,312; Rs. 139 × 48 is Rs. 6,672; Rs. 199 × 48 is Rs. 9,552; Rs. 599 × 48 is Rs. 28,752; Rs. 2,499 × 24 is Rs. 59,976. Nothing is hidden in the division.
The four shared-hosting plans are sold on a 48-month term; Agency Startup is a 24-month one. Hostinger adds "for the same term" to each renewal line — so a Single renewal is another Rs. 13,872 charged upfront for another four years, not Rs. 289 taken monthly.
The deeper the badge, the bigger the jump
| Plan | Badge | Intro rate | Renewal rate | Renewal multiple | Renewal vs its list rate |
|---|
| Single | 83% off | Rs. 69 | Rs. 289 | 4.19x | 28% below |
| Premium | 80% off | Rs. 139 | Rs. 449 | 3.23x | 34% below |
| Business | 75% off | Rs. 199 | Rs. 649 | 3.26x | 19% below |
| Cloud Startup | 65% off | Rs. 599 | Rs. 1,599 | 2.67x | 5.9% below |
| Agency Startup | 50% off | Rs. 2,499 | Rs. 3,499 | 1.40x | 30% below |
Read the two middle columns together. The plan advertised at 83% off renews at 4.19 times what you first paid. The one advertised at 65% renews at 2.67 times. The one at 50% renews at 1.40 times. The ordering is almost perfectly monotonic — only Premium and Business swap, and by 0.03x, which is noise.
That is not a trick, it is arithmetic, and it is worth understanding before you choose a tier. A bigger first-term discount is a bigger distance to climb back up. The 83% badge on Single is the most attractive number on the page and it is attached to the steepest renewal on the page.
Now read the last column, which is the one almost nobody checks. Cloud Startup is badged 65% off Rs. 1,699 and renews at Rs. 1,599 — Rs. 100, or 5.9%, below the list rate the discount was measured against. In practice that plan returns to very nearly its list price at renewal. Single, by contrast, renews at Rs. 289 against a Rs. 399 list, still 28% below it. The cheapest plan keeps more of its discount at renewal than the most expensive one does.
What two terms actually cost
| Plan | First 48 months | Next 48 months | Eight-year total | Second term vs first |
|---|
| Single | Rs. 3,312 | Rs. 13,872 | Rs. 17,184 | 4.19x |
| Premium | Rs. 6,672 | Rs. 21,552 | Rs. 28,224 | 3.23x |
| Business | Rs. 9,552 | Rs. 31,152 | Rs. 40,704 | 3.26x |
| Cloud Startup | Rs. 28,752 | Rs. 76,752 | Rs. 1,05,504 | 2.67x |
Over eight years, Single costs Rs. 17,184 and Cloud Startup costs Rs. 1,05,504, on the rates published today. The second term is where most of that sits on every plan.
These are projections from Hostinger's own published renewal rates, not quotes. Hostinger does not guarantee a renewal rate four years out, and the page says "Cancel anytime" on every tier. The figures are here to show the shape of the commitment, which the headline Rs. 69 does not.
If you are comparing hosts, compare renewal rates, not intro rates. Every host's first-term price is a marketing number and every host's renewal is the real one. Hostinger at least prints both on the same line — Rs. 289, Rs. 449, Rs. 649 and Rs. 1,599 a month are the numbers to carry into any comparison, and they are the numbers your site will actually run on from year five.
What else is on the page
- A Sale Season promotion is live across every tier, offering double AI credits — 500 instead of 250 on Single and Premium, 2,000 instead of 1,000 on Cloud Startup.
- The free domain differs by tier. Single is listed with a "Free domain"; Premium, Business and Cloud Startup are listed as "Domain - free for 1 year".
- Storage climbs with the tier: 10 GB SSD on Single, 20 GB on Premium, 100 GB NVMe on Cloud Startup, 300 GB NVMe on Agency Startup.
- Website limits: 1 on Single, 3 on Premium, unlimited on Cloud Startup, 100 on Agency Startup.
- "Unlimited" is qualified. Hostinger's own footnote: "Unlimited features are subject to our Fair Usage Policy."
- Mailboxes are free for one year on the paid tiers, not indefinitely — the page says "free for 1 year" on every mailbox line.
Frequently Asked Questions
What does Hostinger actually renew at?
Hostinger publishes its renewal rates on the pricing page itself, next to each plan. Read 7 November 2026: Single renews at Rs. 289 a month, Premium at Rs. 449, Business at Rs. 649, Cloud Startup at Rs. 1,599 and Agency Startup at Rs. 3,499 — each "for the same term", so a Single renewal is Rs. 13,872 charged upfront for another 48 months. Those are the numbers to use when comparing hosts, because the intro rates of Rs. 69, Rs. 139, Rs. 199, Rs. 599 and Rs. 2,499 apply only to the first term.
Is Hostinger's 83% off real?
The arithmetic is real, and so is the catch underneath it. Rs. 69 against a list rate of Rs. 399 is 83%, and Rs. 69 × 48 months is exactly the Rs. 3,312 Hostinger says you pay today. What the badge does not say is that the plan renews at Rs. 289 — 4.19 times the intro rate. And the pattern holds across the ladder: 83% off renews at 4.19x, 80% at 3.23x, 75% at 3.26x, 65% at 2.67x and 50% at 1.40x. The deepest discount carries the steepest climb back. That is not a hidden charge — Hostinger prints it on the same card — but it is the half of the offer the percentage is designed to draw your eye away from.
Which Hostinger plan keeps most of its discount at renewal?
Single, the cheapest one. It renews at Rs. 289 against a Rs. 399 list rate, still 28% below the number its badge was measured against. Cloud Startup is the opposite: badged 65% off Rs. 1,699, it renews at Rs. 1,599 — only Rs. 100, or 5.9%, below its list rate. Premium renews 34% below its list and Business 19% below. So on the top shared-hosting tier the discount is almost entirely a first-term event, while on the entry tier a meaningful part of it persists.
Does Hostinger charge Rs. 69 a month?
No, and Hostinger says so on the page. Its own line reads: "All plans are paid upfront. The monthly rate reflects the total plan price divided by the number of months in your plan." The Rs. 69 plan is Rs. 3,312 charged today for 48 months. The same applies across the ladder — Rs. 139 is Rs. 6,672, Rs. 199 is Rs. 9,552, Rs. 599 is Rs. 28,752 and Rs. 2,499 is Rs. 59,976 for 24 months. If a four-year upfront commitment is not what you want, the per-month framing is the thing to read past.
What does Hostinger cost over eight years?
On the rates published on 7 November 2026, projecting one renewal at the stated renewal rate: Single Rs. 17,184, Premium Rs. 28,224, Business Rs. 40,704 and Cloud Startup Rs. 1,05,504. In every case the second term costs multiples of the first — 4.19x on Single, 3.23x on Premium, 3.26x on Business and 2.67x on Cloud Startup. These are projections, not quotes: Hostinger does not guarantee a renewal rate four years ahead, and the page says "Cancel anytime" on every tier. They are here because the eight-year shape is the commitment the headline Rs. 69 is actually describing.
Prices & codes last verified: November 7, 2026
Every plan rate, discount badge, upfront total and renewal rate on this page was read from Hostinger's own pricing page on 7 November 2026, logged out, from India, with nothing purchased and no coupon applied. The intro rate multiplied by the term equals the stated upfront total on all five plans, which we checked. The eight-year figures are projections from Hostinger's own published renewal rates, not quotes — Hostinger does not guarantee a renewal rate four years ahead and the page states "Cancel anytime" on every tier. Nothing here alleges that any list rate or discount badge is false; Hostinger publishes its renewal rate on the same card as its headline rate, which is more disclosure than most hosts offer, and this page is an argument for reading it rather than against the company. Hosting prices, promotions and renewal rates change; this reflects one day's reading, and a Sale Season promotion was running at the time.
