A numbered product ladder is supposed to make the decision for you. Man Matters runs one — Stage 1 to Stage 4, Rs. 899 to Rs. 1,409 — and it leaves two things unexplained that change what you should buy.
Below: what each stage costs, why two separate products are both called Stage 1, the rung at which Man Matters's own prescription flag switches on, and why the discount percentages on these kits are worth ignoring entirely.

📅 Update log:
12 Sep 2026 — first published, from the Man Matters collection listings as served to a logged-out visitor on 12 September 2026. Kit prices, badges and the composition of staged kits change without notice, so we re-read the listings and log any change to the ladder, the two Stage 1 kits or the prescription flags here.
What each Man Matters hair kit costs, Stage 1 to Stage 4
Man Matters sells its hair range as a numbered ladder, and the numbers are the first thing a buyer sees. Read on 12 September 2026, the four stages ran from Rs. 899 to Rs. 1,409 — a Rs. 510 spread across the entire range, which is a good deal narrower than the staging language implies.
Two things in the table below are worth more than the prices. The first is that two different products are both called Stage 1: a Hairfall Kit at Rs. 899 and an Anti-Hairfall Kit at Rs. 999. They have different MRPs, different badges and different ratings, and nothing in either listing name tells you what separates them. If you are starting at Stage 1, you have a choice to make that the page does not explain.
The second is the prescription column, and it is the one that actually matters.
| Kit | Price | Stated MRP and badge | Prescription | Site rating |
|---|
| Anti-Dandruff Pro Kit | Rs. 848 | Rs. 1,048 · 19% off | No prescription flag | 4.6 |
| Stage 1 Hairfall Kit | Rs. 899 | Rs. 948 · 5% off | No prescription flag | 4.2 |
| Stage 1 Anti-Hairfall Kit | Rs. 999 | Rs. 1,348 · 25% off | No prescription flag | 4.7 |
| Stage 2 Hair Regrowth Kit | Rs. 1,198 | Rs. 1,348 · 11% off | Prescription flagged | 4.1 |
| Stage 3 Hair Regrowth Kit | Rs. 1,349 | Rs. 1,741 · 22% off | Prescription flagged | 4.2 |
| Stage 4 Hair Regrowth Solution | Rs. 1,409 | Rs. 1,724 · 18% off | Prescription flagged | 4.0 |
| Advanced Hair Regrowth Regime | Rs. 1,599 | Rs. 1,947 · 17% off | No prescription flag | 4.3 |
⚕️ The ladder is regulatory, not commercial. Both Stage 1 kits are sold without a prescription flag. Stage 2, Stage 3 and Stage 4 all carry one in Man Matters's own product feed — that is the step where minoxidil and finasteride enter the box. So the question “which stage should I buy?” is not really a budget question at all: below the line you are buying cosmetics, above it you are buying drugs, and Man Matters will put a consultation between you and the second group regardless of what you are willing to spend. Minoxidil and finasteride have recognised side effects. This page is a price read, not medical advice.
Six things the listings answer and the stage numbers do not
A staged product line is a promise that the decision has been made for you. On this catalogue the promise is only half kept: the stages are real, but the page leaves the buyer to work out the fork at the bottom, the prescription step in the middle and the unnumbered product sitting above the top rung.
Here is what the listings themselves resolve, and what they leave open.
| What you want to know | What the listings show |
|---|
| Which Stage 1 am I being sold? | There are two. The Stage 1 Hairfall Kit at Rs. 899 and the Stage 1 Anti-Hairfall Kit at Rs. 999 are separate listings with separate MRPs, separate badges and separate ratings. Neither listing name says how they differ — open both product pages and compare the contents before choosing |
| At what point do I need a doctor? | Between Stage 1 and Stage 2. Both Stage 1 kits are sold without a prescription flag; Stage 2, Stage 3 and Stage 4 all carry one in Man Matters's own product feed, because that is where the minoxidil and finasteride enter the kit |
| Does a higher stage cost much more? | Less than you would expect. The climb from Stage 1 at Rs. 899 to Stage 4 at Rs. 1,409 is Rs. 510, a 57% increase across the whole ladder — about the price of two bottles of the brand's body wash |
| Is the dearest kit the top of the ladder? | No. The Advanced Hair Regrowth Regime at Rs. 1,599 costs Rs. 190 more than Stage 4 and carries no stage number at all — and, unlike Stages 2 to 4, no prescription flag either |
| Does the discount get better as I climb? | There is no pattern. The badges up the ladder run 5%, 25%, 11%, 22%, 18% and 17%. The cheapest kit on the page carries the shallowest badge on the page |
| Can I trust the star ratings? | Only as far as they go. Man Matters publishes a star average on every kit and a rating count on none of them, so a 4.7 and a 4.0 cannot be weighed against each other for sample size |
Why the discount percentages tell you nothing here
The badges on this ladder do not behave. Climbing from Stage 1 to Stage 4 the discounts read 5%, 25%, 11%, 22% and 18%, in that order, and the cheapest kit on the page carries the shallowest badge on the page.
The clearest single demonstration sits in the middle of the table. The Stage 1 Anti-Hairfall Kit and the Stage 2 Hair Regrowth Kit are both listed against an identical stated MRP of Rs. 1,348. One sells at Rs. 999 and is badged 25%; the other sells at Rs. 1,198 and is badged 11%. Same claimed list price, two very different percentages, because a percentage is a statement about the MRP rather than about what you receive.
This is not unique to the kits. Across the wider Man Matters catalogue we read the same day, fifteen listings are badged at exactly 50% — shampoos, body washes and sprays whose list prices are round numbers that have been halved — while the four minoxidil topical solutions sold on their own are badged 12%, 11%, 9% and 3%. The pattern is consistent: the more medical the product, the smaller the discount. The kits, which mix the two, sit in between.
| The badge | The rupees behind it |
|---|
| Stage 1 Hairfall Kit, 5% off | Rs. 49 off a stated Rs. 948 — the shallowest discount of any kit here, on the cheapest Stage 1 |
| Stage 1 Anti-Hairfall Kit, 25% off | Rs. 349 off a stated Rs. 1,348 — the deepest kit badge on the page, and it still costs Rs. 100 more than the 5% kit above it |
| Stage 2, 11% off | Rs. 150 off a stated Rs. 1,348 — the same stated MRP as the Stage 1 Anti-Hairfall Kit, sold for Rs. 199 more |
| Stage 3, 22% off | Rs. 392 off a stated Rs. 1,741 — twice Stage 2's badge, one rung higher |
| Stage 4, 18% off | Rs. 315 off a stated Rs. 1,724 — a lower stated MRP than Stage 3, on the dearest kit in the ladder |
💡 Compare the rupee gap, not the badge. Moving from the Rs. 899 Stage 1 Hairfall Kit to the Rs. 999 Stage 1 Anti-Hairfall Kit costs you Rs. 100. Moving from there to Stage 2 costs another Rs. 199 — and a consultation. Moving all the way to Stage 4 costs Rs. 510 more than where you started. Those four numbers are the whole decision; the percentages attached to them describe list prices you were never going to pay.
How to use this before you buy a kit
Decide which Stage 1 you mean. Two products carry that name at Rs. 899 and Rs. 999. Open both product pages and read the contents lists, because the listing titles do not distinguish them and the Rs. 100 gap is the smallest decision on this page.
Treat Stage 2 as a medical step, not a spending one. That is where the prescription flag appears in Man Matters's own feed, and no amount of budget moves you past a consultation.
Do not read the Advanced Hair Regrowth Regime as Stage 5. At Rs. 1,599 it is the dearest hair kit in this read and it carries no stage number — and, unlike Stages 2 to 4, no prescription flag.
Ignore the badge and price the gap. The whole ladder spans Rs. 510. Two kits share a stated MRP of Rs. 1,348 and sell Rs. 199 apart.
Do not lean on the ratings. Man Matters publishes a star average on every kit and a rating count on none, so a 4.7 and a 4.0 here are not comparable claims.
And take the medical question to a doctor. Minoxidil and finasteride are active drugs with recognised side effects. Nothing on this page assesses whether any kit works or is suitable for you.
How this page was read, and what it does not tell you
Every price, stated MRP, badge percentage, prescription flag and star rating above was read on 12 September 2026 from manmatters.com as served to a logged-out visitor in India. The collection page's own data payload carries all six fields for every product, and the seven hair kits listed here are the complete set of multi-product hair kits it returned in that session. We changed none of the values. The rupee gaps, the 57% ladder span, the shared Rs. 1,348 stated MRP and the badge ordering are our own arithmetic on Man Matters's own displayed figures. The prescription column reproduces the site's own flag on each listing.
What that means for what you can conclude. We read listings, not boxes: we did not buy, open or use any kit, and we cannot tell you what is inside one beyond what the product page states. Nothing here compares formulations, doses or ingredients between stages, and nothing here is an assessment of whether any kit works for anyone. Man Matters publishes a star average on every product and a rating count on none, so the ratings quoted above cannot be weighed for sample size and should not be read as evidence of quality. Prescription-flagged products are dispensed after a consultation on the site's own process, which we did not complete. Minoxidil and finasteride are pharmacologically active drugs with recognised side effects, and this page is neither medical advice nor a recommendation to start, stop or change any treatment — speak to a qualified doctor. Prices, badges, stock and the composition of these kits change without notice, so the live listing is authoritative for anything you buy. No wrongdoing by Man Matters is alleged or implied; a stated MRP is a manufacturer's claim and a retailer is entitled to display it.
The short version
The ladder is Rs. 899 to Rs. 1,409. Four stages, a Rs. 510 spread, and an unnumbered Advanced Regime above all of them at Rs. 1,599.
Two products are both called Stage 1. A Hairfall Kit at Rs. 899 and an Anti-Hairfall Kit at Rs. 999, with different MRPs, badges and ratings, and no explanation of the difference in either name.
The prescription flag turns on at Stage 2. Both Stage 1 kits are sold without one; Stages 2, 3 and 4 all carry one. That step is medical, not financial.
The badges are noise. 5%, 25%, 11%, 22%, 18% up the ladder — and two kits sharing a stated MRP of Rs. 1,348 sell Rs. 199 apart.
Frequently Asked Questions
How much does a Man Matters hair regrowth kit cost?
Read on 12 September 2026, the four numbered stages were Stage 1 at Rs. 899 or Rs. 999 depending on which Stage 1 kit you pick, Stage 2 at Rs. 1,198, Stage 3 at Rs. 1,349 and Stage 4 at Rs. 1,409. That is a Rs. 510 spread across the whole ladder, or a 57% increase from the cheapest rung to the dearest. Two further hair kits sit outside the numbering: an Anti-Dandruff Pro Kit at Rs. 848, which is the cheapest hair kit on the page, and an Advanced Hair Regrowth Regime at Rs. 1,599, which is the dearest and carries no stage number at all. Prices and stock change without notice, so check the live listing before you buy.
Why are there two Man Matters Stage 1 kits?
Man Matters does not say, and neither listing name explains it. In this read the site carried a “Stage 1 Hairfall Kit” at Rs. 899, badged 5% off a stated Rs. 948 and rated 4.2, and a “Stage 1 Anti-Hairfall Kit” at Rs. 999, badged 25% off a stated Rs. 1,348 and rated 4.7. They are separate products with separate MRPs, separate badges and separate ratings, sold one hundred rupees apart under near-identical names. Neither carries a prescription flag. The practical advice is to open both product pages and compare the contents lists before choosing, because the titles alone will not tell you which one suits the problem you have.
Do you need a prescription for Man Matters hair kits?
For some of them, yes — and the line falls in a specific place. In Man Matters's own product feed, both Stage 1 kits are sold without a prescription flag, while Stage 2, Stage 3 and Stage 4 all carry one. That is the step at which minoxidil and finasteride enter the kit, and the site puts a consultation between you and those products regardless of what you are prepared to pay. The Anti-Dandruff Pro Kit at Rs. 848 and the Advanced Hair Regrowth Regime at Rs. 1,599 carried no flag in this read. Minoxidil and finasteride are pharmacologically active drugs with recognised side effects; whether either is appropriate for you is a question for a qualified doctor, not for a price comparison.
Which Man Matters hair kit has the biggest discount?
In this read the deepest kit badge was 25% on the Stage 1 Anti-Hairfall Kit, Rs. 999 against a stated Rs. 1,348. But the badge is a poor guide here. The cheapest kit on the page, the Stage 1 Hairfall Kit at Rs. 899, carries the shallowest badge at 5%, and the percentages up the ladder run 5%, 25%, 11%, 22% and 18% with no pattern at all. The clearest illustration is that the Stage 1 Anti-Hairfall Kit and the Stage 2 kit are listed against the identical stated MRP of Rs. 1,348 and sell at Rs. 999 and Rs. 1,198 — badges of 25% and 11% on the same claimed list price. Compare the rupee prices instead.
Is the Advanced Hair Regrowth Regime better than Stage 4?
We cannot tell you that, and nothing on this page assesses what any kit does. What the listings show is that the Advanced Hair Regrowth Regime costs Rs. 1,599, which is Rs. 190 more than Stage 4 at Rs. 1,409, making it the most expensive hair kit in this read — and that it carries no stage number and no prescription flag, where Stages 2, 3 and 4 all carry one. So it is not a fifth rung on the same ladder; it is a separate product priced above it. It was badged 17% off a stated Rs. 1,947 and rated 4.3, though as everywhere on this site no rating count is published, so that figure cannot be weighed for sample size.
Prices & codes last verified: 12 September 2026
Every price, stated MRP, discount badge, prescription flag and star rating on this page is Man Matters's own displayed figure, read on 12 September 2026 from manmatters.com as served to a logged-out visitor in India. The seven hair kits listed are the complete set of multi-product hair kits returned in that session; we changed none of the values, and the rupee gaps, the 57% ladder span, the shared Rs. 1,348 stated MRP and the badge ordering are our own arithmetic on those figures. A stated MRP is a manufacturer's claim and a retailer is entitled to display it; no wrongdoing by Man Matters is alleged or implied, and nothing above suggests any price, badge or flag is inaccurate. We read listings only: no kit was purchased, opened or used, nothing here compares the formulations, doses or ingredients of one stage against another, and no claim about what any kit achieves has been tested or endorsed by us. Man Matters publishes a star average on every product and a rating count on none, so the ratings quoted cannot be weighed for sample size and are not evidence of quality. Products carrying the site's prescription-only flag are dispensed after a consultation we did not complete. Minoxidil, finasteride and the supplements in these kits are pharmacologically active and carry recognised side effects; nothing on this page is medical advice, a diagnosis or a recommendation to start, stop or change any treatment, and a qualified doctor or pharmacist should decide what is appropriate for you. Prices, badges, kit composition and stock change without notice, so the live listing is authoritative for anything you buy.
