One brand's 20-litre solo microwave is Rs. 4,988 in white and Rs. 6,490 in black. Eighteen picks read from 24 Reliance Digital listings.
We read 24 Reliance Digital listings on August 9, 2026 from the retailer's own catalogue and seated 18. One pair explains the page: Morphy Richards lists a 20-litre solo microwave in white at Rs. 4,988 claiming Rs. 13,595, and a 20-litre solo in black at Rs. 6,490 claiming Rs. 12,599 - badges of 63 and 48 per cent for what the listings describe as the same oven in two finishes. The specification steps are more useful than any of it: a grill costs Rs. 200 over the biggest solo here, and convection costs Rs. 4,900 over the grill.
Every price below was pulled from Reliance Digital on August 9, 2026 and checked against the MRP on the listing. Stack them with the live codes on our Reliance Digital coupons page, which the deals desk re-verifies daily.

First: never compare badges across two listings - on this page the same oven in two colours carries 63 and 48 per cent. Second: buy the function, not the litres - a grill element costs Rs. 200 here and convection Rs. 4,900, and those change what the appliance can do. Third: size an air conditioner before you price it, because one ton covers roughly 100 to 120 square feet and running an undersized unit flat out costs more than the Rs. 2,900 that separates a matched 1 ton and 1.5 ton pair on this shelf. Fourth: treat a stated MRP of almost exactly twice the price as a construction rather than a history, the same shape this series found on Reliance Digital's 55-inch television wall. Fifth: on installation-dependent products, confirm the installation charge, the stabiliser requirement and the bank-card offer at checkout - the same terms that decided the shelf in our read of its three kitchen aisles.

This shelf handed us one: a Morphy Richards 20-litre solo microwave in white at Rs. 4,988 and the same manufacturer's 20-litre solo in black at Rs. 6,490. Nothing either listing states distinguishes them except the finish, and yet they claim Rs. 13,595 and Rs. 12,599 and show badges of 63 and 48 per cent. The same thing happens in the AC aisle, where three 1 ton 3 star inverter splits sell within Rs. 1,100 of each other against claims ranging from Rs. 37,790 to Rs. 48,991. Comparing badges across listings is not a comparison of anything.
Solo heats. A grill browns. Convection bakes. On this shelf the grill step costs Rs. 200 over the largest solo, which is the cheapest worthwhile upgrade on the page, and the convection step costs Rs. 4,900 over the grill, which is the largest functional jump here. Inside convection, Rs. 900 buys four extra litres and a second heating element, and Rs. 1,200 more buys the 28 litres that takes a full baking tray. In the built-in aisle, one brand's 80-litre oven costs Rs. 1,041 more than its own 22-litre.
On an air conditioner the BEE star rating is a summer-long electricity bill, and every AC in this read is 3 star - the middle of the scale. The difference between a 3 star and a 5 star inverter unit over a north Indian summer routinely exceeds the rupee value of the badges on this page. Sizing matters as much: one ton covers roughly 100 to 120 square feet and one and a half tons roughly 150 to 180, and the Rs. 2,900 that separates a matched pair of BPL units here is smaller than the cost of running an undersized machine flat out.
Reliance Digital returned no rating and no rating count on any of the 24 rows we read, so there is not one rating pill on this page and we have not substituted a house score. Everything here is judged on price, on stated specification and on how the listings behave next to each other. Where we make a category judgement - that forty-four auto-cook presets go unused, that blue-fin coating matters on the coast, that service network reach decides more about an air conditioner than its feature list - we say so as category understanding, not as a test result.
A solo microwave only heats and defrosts. A grill adds a heating coil that browns the top of food. A convection model adds a fan and element so it can bake and roast at a set temperature, which makes it a genuine second oven. On this shelf, in our August 9, 2026 read, the largest solo was an IFB 25-litre at Rs. 8,690, a Samsung 23-litre grill was Rs. 8,890 - only Rs. 200 more - and convection started at Rs. 13,790 for an LG 21-litre. The grill step is the cheap one; convection is the real jump.
In our read Morphy Richards had a 20-litre solo microwave in white at Rs. 4,988 against a stated Rs. 13,595, and a 20-litre solo in black at Rs. 6,490 against a stated Rs. 12,599 - badges of 63 and 48 per cent. Nothing in either listing distinguishes them beyond the finish. Colour variants are often stocked, discounted and cleared separately, so one can sit at a promotional price while the other does not. It is also why a discount percentage cannot be compared between two listings, even from one brand.
Twenty litres takes a dinner plate and is enough for reheating, which is what the Rs. 4,988 to Rs. 7,990 listings in our read do. Twenty-five litres gives room around the plate and is where the useful convection models start, at Rs. 14,690 for an IFB with dual heaters. Twenty-eight litres takes a full baking tray or a whole chicken, at Rs. 15,890 here. Thirty litres, at Rs. 17,990, is the largest countertop cavity commonly sold in India. If you intend to bake, do not buy below 25 litres.
One ton suits roughly 100 to 120 square feet and one and a half tons roughly 150 to 180, which covers most Indian master bedrooms. Ceiling height, floor level, window area and direct sun all push that upward. On this shelf the step is cheap: a matched pair of BPL units at 1 ton and 1.5 ton sell at Rs. 24,590 and Rs. 27,490, a Rs. 2,900 difference. Running an undersized unit at full load through a north Indian summer will cost more than that in electricity, so err upward.
They are arithmetic against a number the seller sets, and this page shows how loosely that number is set. Two listings for what appears to be the same oven claim Rs. 13,595 and Rs. 12,599. Three 1 ton 3 star split ACs selling within Rs. 1,100 of each other claim Rs. 42,000, Rs. 37,790 and Rs. 48,991 - the last being almost exactly twice its selling price. The smallest badge in our read, 19 per cent on an IFB 25-litre solo at Rs. 8,690, sits on a Rs. 2,000 gap and is the most plausible claim on the page.
