Snitch Return Policy 2026: COD Refunds Come as Store Credit, Not Cash

Snitch menswear of the kind this return policy applies to, shown as it appears in Snitch's own listing photographs

Snitch's returns page is short, plainly written and mostly generous — seven days from delivery, reverse pick-up, an exchange route and a published warehouse address for pin codes the courier cannot reach. It is also carrying three clauses that decide how much a return is actually worth to you, and all three are easy to miss at checkout.

We read snitch.co.in/policies/refund-policy and its terms of service first-party on 9 October 2026, logged out, in India, with nothing purchased. Below: the cash-on-delivery clause the policy sets in capitals, the Rs. 100 fee and the one way to pay it only once, the promotion that voids your right to return, the six categories that never come back, and the two sentences on the same page that tell you opposite things about WhatsApp. Published policy only; nothing here is legal advice.

📅 Update log:
9 October 2026 — First publication. snitch.co.in/policies/refund-policy and snitch.co.in/policies/terms-of-service fetched first-party, logged out, in India, with nothing purchased and no order placed. Clauses read and recorded: the seven-day return and exchange window and the further 5-7 days stated for the product to reach the warehouse; the Rs. 100 reverse shipment fee and its per-order rather than per-item basis; the two pick-up attempts and the pin-code serviceability condition; the 1-2 working day store-credit timing for COD returns; the same-condition and visibly-worn exclusions; the seven-day bank-credit guidance for prepaid refunds; the capitalised prepaid-only bank transfer clause and the COD store credit rule; the non-refundable shipping charges line; the Instagram and phone support routes, the Monday-Sunday 10 am to 8 pm hours and the statement that queries are not solved on WhatsApp; the cancellation-until-dispatch rule; the hygiene exclusion list covering accessories, masks, boxers, briefs, trunks and perfumes and the change-without-notice reservation attached to it; the BOGO and free-product promotion exclusion; the self-shipping route, the Bengaluru warehouse address, the order-ID labelling requirement, the unused-with-tags condition and the 48-hour refund-plus-Rs. 100 commitment; the named courier the policy asks customers not to use and the Speed Post recommendation; the customer-supplied bank detail disclaimer; the 24-hour window for a delivered-but-not-received parcel; the one-day damage reporting clause and its WhatsApp number; and the 30-working-day outer refund limit. Policy verified 9 October 2026.

Pay cash on delivery and you will not get cash back

Snitch's refund policy sets this out twice, and the second time in capitals: "PLEASE NOTE: REFUND / BANK TRANSFER ARE ONLY APPLICABLE FOR PREPAID ORDERS / ONLINE PAYMENTS MADE ON OUR WEBSITE. Payments made with COD option will receive store credit equivalent to the amount paid by you, which can be used anytime."

Earlier on the same page: "For COD orders, a store credit will be provided within 1-2 working days from the day of return pickup on your registered email address/contact number." So the store credit arrives faster than a bank refund would — one to two working days against a stated seven for prepaid — but it only spends in one shop.

This is the single most consequential line on the page and it is the one a shopper is least likely to read before checkout. If you are buying a size you are not sure about, paying by card, UPI or any online method keeps your exit route in money; choosing cash on delivery converts it into a Snitch gift card. Refunding a cash-on-delivery order as store credit is a common arrangement across Indian D2C and is entirely lawful — the point here is only that it changes what a return is worth to you.

Rs. 100 off every return, but only once per order

"A reverse shipment fee of Rs 100 will be deducted at the time of refund per order, regardless of the number of items within that order. This means that if an order contains multiple items, only a single deduction of Rs 100 will be made for the entire order, not on each individual clothing item."

That wording is unusually clear and it has a practical consequence worth acting on. Because the fee is charged per order rather than per item, returning three shirts from one order costs Rs. 100, while returning the same three shirts from three separate orders costs Rs. 300. If you are buying two sizes of the same thing to try, put them in one order.

Two more deductions sit alongside it. "Shipping Charges are Non-Refundable" — what you paid to have the parcel delivered does not come back. And the pick-up is not guaranteed: "Pick-up will be attempted twice. If the courier company is unable to pick up the shipment. You will have to send the shipment back to the company address", with reverse pick-up "subject to the availability of the service in your area pin code".

The things you cannot return at all

Two clauses close the door completely. The first is a hygiene list: "To maintain strict hygiene standards of our products, we do not accept returns on certain product categories, including but not limited to accessories, masks, boxers, briefs, trunks and perfumes. SNITCH may, at its discretion and without prior notice, change the products or categories to which this policy would apply." Note "including but not limited to" and "without prior notice" — the list is an example, not a boundary.

The second is about promotions, and it is the one most likely to catch a festive shopper: "REFUNDS FOR FREE PRODUCT DEALS. Any items purchased during a BOGO Sale (Buy 1 Get 1 Free) or any such promotions wherein free products are included, such orders will not be eligible for any returns."

Read together, those two sentences mean a buy-one-get-one order is final — both items, not just the free one. Excluding promotional bundles from returns is an ordinary and lawful commercial decision and no wrongdoing is alleged; the reason to know it in advance is that BOGO is exactly when people take a chance on a size.

Condition matters too: "Please return your product(s) in the same condition as it was shipped. If the products are returned in poor condition or have clearly been worn, a refund would not be provided", and on the self-ship route, "All items must be in unused condition with all original tags attached and packaging intact."

Every window and deduction on one page

Support hoursMonday–Sunday, 10 am–8 pm, by Instagram DM or phone

Every row above is Snitch's own published wording on 9 October 2026. The windows are short but not out of line with the category; the two rows worth re-reading before you check out are the COD refund route and the BOGO exclusion.

The two clauses that contradict each other

The support paragraph is explicit: "You can get in touch with us about any issues at our customer support portal by dropping a message on Instagram @snitch.co.in. You can also reach us on +91 6364430800. All queries will be solved between Monday-Sunday, 10 am- 8 pm. All pending queries will be solved on priority the next day. Please note that we do not solve customer queries on WhatsApp."

Four paragraphs later, in the terms attached to the same policy, the damage route says the opposite: "they shall promptly contact us via Instagram: @snitch.co.in, phone no.: +91 63644 30800, Whatsapp : +91 6366966283 with details of the product and its damage within 1 day of receiving the products".

One page, same day: WhatsApp is both not a support channel and the channel for reporting damage, on a one-day deadline. This is almost certainly an un-reconciled edit rather than anything deliberate, and nothing here suggests otherwise. It matters only because the deadline is 24 hours in one case and one day in the other, so a buyer with a damaged parcel does not have time to work out which paragraph wins. The safe reading is to use the phone number and the Instagram handle, which both clauses agree on, and to do it the same day. Note also that no email address appears anywhere in the refund policy.

If your pin code has no reverse pick-up

Snitch publishes a self-ship route with a warehouse address: "In case your pincode is non-serviceable for a reverse pick up, you'll have courier the product(s) to the following address : SNITCH WAREHOUSE NO.43, Sri Balaji & Hemanna Layout, 4, Anjaneya Swami Temple Rd, B.C Gundappa Layout, Balaji Gardens Layout, Kattigenahalli, Bengaluru, Karnataka 560064", with the instruction to mark the ORDER ID and registered mobile number on the packaging.

The compensation is better than the pick-up route: "Within 48 hours of receiving the product(s), the complete amount + INR 100 (in lieu of courier charges) will be refunded to your bank account in case of prepaid and in the form of store credit (gift card) in case of COD." So self-shipping reverses the Rs. 100 — you are paid it rather than charged it — provided "your courier costs do not exceed the amount stipulated above".

And one unusually blunt instruction: "PLEASE NOTE: We request that you do not use The Professional Couriers for self return as they are not reliable and the package will not be accepted at the warehouse", with "We recommend using 'Speed Post' as your courier service". That is the policy's own assessment of a third-party courier, reproduced here as published; Zoutons makes no statement of its own about the reliability or service quality of any courier company.

Every clause quoted on this page, in full, as Snitch publishes it

"We offer 7 days hassle-free returns & exchange from the date of delivery and a further 5-7 days for the returned product(s) to reach us. We also offer reverse pick-up services. A reverse shipment fee of Rs 100 will be deducted at the time of refund per order, regardless of the number of items within that order. This means that if an order contains multiple items, only a single deduction of Rs 100 will be made for the entire order, not on each individual clothing item. Pick-up will be attempted twice. If the courier company is unable to pick up the shipment. You will have to send the shipment back to the company address. Reverse Pick Up is subject to the availability of the service in your area pin code."

"For COD orders, a store credit will be provided within 1-2 working days from the day of return pickup on your registered email address/contact number. Please return your product(s) in the same condition as it was shipped. If the products are returned in poor condition or have clearly been worn, a refund would not be provided. Kindly allow 7 days for the return to be processed and the amount to be shown in your bank account."

"PLEASE NOTE: REFUND / BANK TRANSFER ARE ONLY APPLICABLE FOR PREPAID ORDERS / ONLINE PAYMENTS MADE ON OUR WEBSITE. Payments made with COD option will receive store credit equivalent to the amount paid by you, which can be used anytime. Shipping Charges are Non-Refundable"

"You can get in touch with us about any issues at our customer support portal by dropping a message on Instagram @snitch.co.in. You can also reach us on +91 6364430800. All queries will be solved between Monday-Sunday, 10 am- 8 pm. All pending queries will be solved on priority the next day. Please note that we do not solve customer queries on WhatsApp."

"Cancellations will only be possible till the order has not been dispatched from our warehouse."

"To maintain strict hygiene standards of our products, we do not accept returns on certain product categories, including but not limited to accessories, masks, boxers, briefs, trunks and perfumes. SNITCH may, at its discretion and without prior notice, change the products or categories to which this policy would apply."

"REFUNDS FOR FREE PRODUCT DEALS. Any items purchased during a BOGO Sale (Buy 1 Get 1 Free) or any such promotions wherein free products are included, such orders will not be eligible for any returns."

"SELF-SHIPPING OF ORDERS FOR RETURNS: In case your pincode is non-serviceable for a reverse pick up, you'll have courier the product(s) to the following address : SNITCH WAREHOUSE NO.43, Sri Balaji & Hemanna Layout, 4, Anjaneya Swami Temple Rd, B.C Gundappa Layout, Balaji Gardens Layout, Kattigenahalli, Bengaluru, Karnataka 560064. Please ensure the items are packed securely to prevent any loss or damage during transit and the ORDER ID and registered mobile number is mentioned on the packaging. All items must be in unused condition with all original tags attached and packaging intact. Within 48 hours of receiving the product(s), the complete amount + INR 100 (in lieu of courier charges) will be refunded to your bank account in case of prepaid and in the form of store credit (gift card) in case of COD."

"PLEASE NOTE: We request that you do not use The Professional Couriers for self return as they are not reliable and the package will not be accepted at the warehouse. Please make sure your courier costs do not exceed the amount stipulated above. We recommend using 'Speed Post' as your courier service. Speed Post is a Government of India owned entity and has the most widely distributed postal network in India."

"Bank account details provided by the customer would be final and any error in the details provided by the customer would not be the responsibility of the brand. If you have received an SMS or EMAIL of order delivered status and if it's not received by you, please contact us within 24 hours."

"The customer will be under an obligation to take utmost care of the product(s) whilst the products are in their possession. This includes all of the product(s) instructions, documents and wrappings while returning the product(s) in the same condition as received. In circumstances where the customer feels that the product does not conform to the standards at the time of delivery, they shall promptly contact us via Instagram: @snitch.co.in, phone no.: +91 63644 30800, Whatsapp : +91 6366966283 with details of the product and its damage within 1 day of receiving the products; whereon, the customer will receive instructions from us."

"Upon return of the product, we will fully examine it and notify the customer of their right to a refund (if any) via e-mail within a reasonable period of time. We aim to process the refund as soon as possible and, in any case, within 30 working days from the day, we confirmed to the customer via e-mail that they are entitled to a refund."

What to do about it before you check out

Five things, in the order they cost you money. One: if there is any chance you will send something back, pay online rather than cash on delivery — a COD refund is store credit, a prepaid refund is a bank transfer. Two: buy two sizes in a single order, not two orders; the Rs. 100 reverse-pick-up fee is charged once per order however many items go back. Three: treat anything bought in a buy-one-get-one promotion as final sale, because the policy says BOGO orders are not eligible for any returns. Four: do not order boxers, briefs, trunks, perfumes, masks or accessories on spec — none of them can be returned, and the list is "including but not limited to". Five: open the parcel the day it arrives; damage must be reported within one day and a delivered-but-missing parcel within 24 hours, by phone or Instagram DM between 10 am and 8 pm.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Snitch's return policy?
Snitch's own refund policy states "We offer 7 days hassle-free returns & exchange from the date of delivery and a further 5-7 days for the returned product(s) to reach us", with reverse pick-up available subject to your pin code. A reverse shipment fee of Rs. 100 is deducted at refund, once per order regardless of how many items are in it, and "Shipping Charges are Non-Refundable". Items must come back unworn, in original condition with tags attached. Read on 9 October 2026; policies change, so check Snitch's own page before relying on this.
Does Snitch refund COD orders to a bank account?
No — its policy says store credit. In Snitch's own capitals: "PLEASE NOTE: REFUND / BANK TRANSFER ARE ONLY APPLICABLE FOR PREPAID ORDERS / ONLINE PAYMENTS MADE ON OUR WEBSITE. Payments made with COD option will receive store credit equivalent to the amount paid by you, which can be used anytime." The store credit is quick — "within 1-2 working days from the day of return pickup" against a stated seven days for a prepaid bank refund — but it can only be spent at Snitch. Issuing store credit rather than cash on a cash-on-delivery return is a common arrangement in Indian D2C and is entirely lawful; no wrongdoing is alleged. If you want your money back as money, pay online.
Can I return something bought in a Snitch BOGO sale?
Snitch's policy says no. The clause reads "REFUNDS FOR FREE PRODUCT DEALS. Any items purchased during a BOGO Sale (Buy 1 Get 1 Free) or any such promotions wherein free products are included, such orders will not be eligible for any returns." As written that covers the whole order, not only the free item. Excluding promotional bundles from returns is an ordinary and lawful commercial decision. It is worth knowing before a festive sale, because buy-one-get-one is exactly when a shopper is most likely to gamble on a size.
How long does a Snitch refund take?
It depends on the route, and the policy gives four different figures. For a reverse pick-up on a prepaid order: "Kindly allow 7 days for the return to be processed and the amount to be shown in your bank account." For a COD order: store credit "within 1-2 working days from the day of return pickup". For a self-shipped return: "Within 48 hours of receiving the product(s), the complete amount + INR 100 (in lieu of courier charges) will be refunded." And the outer limit: "within 30 working days from the day, we confirmed to the customer via e-mail that they are entitled to a refund." These are Snitch's published commitments read on one day; we did not place, return or refund any order, so nothing here reports how long a refund actually takes.
Which Snitch products cannot be returned?
The policy names six categories and leaves the list open: "To maintain strict hygiene standards of our products, we do not accept returns on certain product categories, including but not limited to accessories, masks, boxers, briefs, trunks and perfumes. SNITCH may, at its discretion and without prior notice, change the products or categories to which this policy would apply." On top of that, any order placed in a buy-one-get-one or free-product promotion is excluded, and anything returned "in poor condition or [that has] clearly been worn" will not be refunded. Hygiene exclusions on innerwear and fragrance are standard across apparel retail in India and no wrongdoing is alleged; check the current page before ordering, since the list can change without notice.

The page is undated and can be amended at any time without notice, so the wording you see today may differ; always read Snitch's own current policy before relying on anything here. Setting a seven-day return window, charging a reverse-shipment fee, charging it per order rather than per item, treating delivery charges as non-refundable, refunding a cash-on-delivery order as store credit rather than cash, excluding innerwear, fragrance, masks and accessories from returns on hygiene grounds, excluding promotional and buy-one-get-one orders from returns, reserving the right to change the excluded categories without notice, declining a refund on visibly worn goods, limiting cancellation to the pre-dispatch period and operating stated support hours are all ordinary and lawful commercial decisions taken by apparel retailers throughout India and worldwide, and none of them is presented here as evidence of wrongdoing. No statement on this page alleges an unfair contract term, an unfair trade practice, a dark pattern, misleading advertising, deficiency in service or any breach of the Consumer Protection Act, the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, the Legal Metrology Act, the Guidelines for Prevention and Regulation of Dark Patterns, the Information Technology Act or any other law, rule or policy by Snitch, by Fab Box Retail Private Limited or by any other company named or unnamed, and no view is expressed on whether any clause quoted here is valid, enforceable, reasonable or binding.
