Thirty fragrance listings read on 2 October. Twenty-nine of them stop at 30% off, and the four best-known Jaguars all cost exactly the same.
Indian shelves usually open with a 60% badge. This one does not, and the absence is the story. Twenty-nine of the 30 fragrance listings Tata CLiQ returned on 2 October sit at 30% off or less, with a median of 20% - against medians of 55% to 70% on the fashion and home shelves we read the same week. The one badge above 45% belongs to the cheapest thing here. And the sharpest fact is not a discount at all: four Jaguar Classic variants each sell at exactly Rs. 3,430. Below: every listing priced per millilitre, and what the badge really tracks.
Every price below was pulled from Tata CLiQ on October 2, 2026 and checked against the MRP on the listing. Stack them with the live codes on our Tata CLiQ coupons page, which the deals desk re-verifies daily.
The deepest badge in this entire read is 65%, on the cheapest item, and the second-deepest is 45%. Everything else is at 30% or below with a median of 20% - on shelves where 55% to 70% medians are routine elsewhere on the same site.
A four-piece eau de parfum gift set at Rs. 263, with 5.0 from a single rating.
Why it earned its spot The one deep discount on a shelf where 29 of 30 listings stop at 30%.
A 100 ml eau de parfum for men at Rs. 1,099, with 3.9 from 138 ratings.
Why it earned its spot The deepest discount on a full-size bottle here, from the shelf's widest-ranging brand.
A 100 ml parfum for men at Rs. 9,030, with 5.0 from 4 ratings.
Why it earned its spot The most expensive listing in the read, and still only at the shelf's top badge.
Chromite, Black, Gold and the base Classic are each Rs. 3,430 against a stated Rs. 4,900 at exactly 30%. Their ratings are 82, 261, 41 and 111, so these are four separate listings - one house pricing a whole line at a single number.
A 100 ml eau de toilette for men at Rs. 3,430, with 4.0 from 82 ratings.
Why it earned its spot First of four Classic variants priced at one identical number, with separate ratings.
A 100 ml eau de toilette for men at Rs. 3,430, with 4.0 from 261 ratings.
Why it earned its spot Identical price to card 04, three times the review sample.
A 100 ml eau de toilette for men at Rs. 3,430, with 4.0 from 111 ratings.
Why it earned its spot Confirms the line price, and shows what the same house charges for its other bottles.
A 100 ml eau de toilette for men at Rs. 3,920, with 3.9 from 61 ratings.
Why it earned its spot Same stated MRP as the Classic four, Rs. 490 dearer, a shallower badge.
From Rs. 2.06 a millilitre on a 200 ml deodorant spray to Rs. 115.31 on an 80 ml parfum. Because every house holds a fixed badge, the size of the bottle is the only thing that actually changes what you pay per spray.
A 200 ml deodorant spray for men at Rs. 413, with 3.9 from 50 ratings.
Why it earned its spot The cheapest millilitre here by far, and a different product class entirely.
A 100 ml eau de parfum at Rs. 497, with no rating published.
Why it earned its spot The cheapest full-size perfume on the shelf, and the only one with no reviews.
A 100 ml long-lasting perfume at Rs. 849, with 3.5 from 42 ratings.
Why it earned its spot The second-cheapest millilitre among the actual perfumes here.
A 90 ml eau de parfum for men at Rs. 2,309, with 4.1 from 61 ratings.
Why it earned its spot One of three listings at exactly 23%, and good value by volume.
A 50 ml eau de parfum for men at Rs. 3,079, with 4.1 from 23 ratings.
Why it earned its spot The smallest bottle in the read, and 2.4x its own brand's rate per millilitre.
A 75 ml eau de parfum for men at Rs. 3,999, with 4.0 from 17 ratings.
Why it earned its spot The dearest listing from a house whose cheapest is Rs. 849.
A 75 ml eau de parfum for women at Rs. 4,425, with 5.0 from 3 ratings.
Why it earned its spot One of only two women's fragrances in the read, at the brand's flat 25%.
A 100 ml eau de parfum at Rs. 5,625, with 1.7 from 3 ratings.
Why it earned its spot The only sub-three-star average on the shelf, and it is on a Rs. 5,625 bottle.
An 80 ml eau de parfum for men at Rs. 9,225, with 5.0 from 3 ratings.
Why it earned its spot The most expensive millilitre on the shelf, 56 times the cheapest.
The shallowest badges in the read sit on the best-known houses and come with the most credible stated MRPs, from 1.08x to 1.18x. One of them also carries the largest, best-averaged rating sample on the whole shelf.
A 100 ml eau de toilette for men at Rs. 3,825, with 4.1 from 191 ratings.
Why it earned its spot A 4.1 average on the third-largest sample here, at a 15% badge.
A 100 ml eau de parfum at Rs. 4,675, with 4.3 from 7 ratings.
Why it earned its spot A house holding exactly 15% across all three of its listings.
A 100 ml eau de toilette for men at Rs. 7,832, with 4.1 from 54 ratings.
Why it earned its spot A global designer house discounting barely at all, which is the shelf's whole pattern.
A 100 ml eau de toilette for men at Rs. 8,277, with 4.3 from 62 ratings.
Why it earned its spot The floor of the discount range and the most believable list price on the page.
First: do not wait for a sale on the premium houses, because the badge is a brand setting rather than an event. Lattafa holds exactly 15% across three listings, Chopard exactly 25% across two, Jaguar 20% to 30% across six, Tommy Hilfiger 7% and 12% - and 29 of the 30 listings in this read never exceed 30% at all. Second: compare by the millilitre, because the bottle size is the only lever that moves what you actually pay. One house's 50 ml bottle is Rs. 61.58 a millilitre, its 90 ml is Rs. 25.66 and its 100 ml is Rs. 39.20 - same brand, same badge, 2.4x between the best and worst rate. Third: when a line is priced at one number, let the rating count choose. The four Jaguar Classic variants are identical on price, stated MRP and badge, and differ only in reviews - 261 on one against 41 on another - so that is the only published distinction between them. Fourth: treat the rating counts here as thin, because they are. Only four of the 30 listings carry more than a hundred ratings, one publishes none, and several of the dearest bottles rest on three or four. A 5.0 from one rating is one person, and at nine thousand rupees that is almost no evidence at all.

Each selling price, stated MRP, discount badge, star average and rating count on this page was read on 2 October 2026 from tatacliq.com's own search results, logged out, in India, with nothing purchased. Thirty listings were returned and 20 are seated. Nothing was bought, sprayed, smelled or worn.
The four queries run were 'face wash', 'moisturiser', 'shampoo' and 'perfume', and all 30 listings that came back were fragrance - no face wash, no shampoo and no moisturiser appeared. This page therefore covers the fragrance shelf only, and says so rather than presenting itself as a beauty survey. Only two of the 30 listings are explicitly women's fragrances.
Twenty-nine of the 30 listings state a size in millilitres, and we divide the selling price by that figure on every card. The one 200 ml deodorant body spray in the read is labelled as a different product class from the eau de parfums and eau de toilettes rather than being ranked against them, because concentration and longevity differ and a table that mixes them would mislead.
Where this page says a house holds a fixed rate, that is computed across all of its listings in the read - six, five, three, three and two for the blocks named - rather than across the cards we chose to seat. The four Jaguar Classic variants at an identical Rs. 3,430 publish four different rating counts, so they are treated as four separate listings rather than as one duplicated product.
Only four of the 30 listings publish more than a hundred ratings and one publishes none at all; several seated cards carry between one and seven. A 5.0 average from a single rating is reported on this page as a single rating and not as a five-star fragrance, and a 1.7 average from three ratings is reported as three people rather than as a verdict. Scent, longevity and sillage are not judged here at all, because we smelled nothing.
In this read of 30 fragrance listings the shelf ran Rs. 263 to Rs. 9,225, with full-size 100 ml bottles from Rs. 497 to Rs. 8,277. Priced per millilitre, the eau de parfums and eau de toilettes ran Rs. 4.97 to Rs. 115.31, and a 200 ml deodorant body spray - a different product class - came in below all of them at Rs. 2.06. Mid-market designer bottles clustered around Rs. 3,400 to Rs. 4,700, and the two Tommy Hilfiger listings sat at Rs. 7,832 and Rs. 8,277. These figures describe the listings Tata CLiQ's own search returned on 2 October 2026, not its full catalogue, and nothing was purchased.
Because on this shelf the badge is set by the house rather than by a promotion. Twenty-nine of the 30 listings in this read are at 30% off or less, with a median of 20%, and the brands hold fixed rates: Lattafa shows exactly 15% on all three of its listings, Chopard exactly 25% on both of its, Tommy Hilfiger 7% and 12%, Calvin Klein 10% and 15%. The shallow badges also come with the most credible stated list prices in the read, from 1.08x to 1.18x the selling price. Pricing a premium range close to its stated list price is ordinary and lawful retail practice and no wrongdoing is alleged; it does mean waiting for a 60% fragrance sale on this shelf is unlikely to work.
Because the house prices its whole Classic line at a single number. In this read, Jaguar Classic Chromite, Classic Black, Classic Gold and the base Classic are each Rs. 3,430 against an identical stated MRP of Rs. 4,900, each showing exactly 30% off. Importantly, these are four genuinely separate listings and not one product duplicated - their rating counts are 82, 261, 41 and 111, four different pools. The brand's other bottles are not at that price: a 100 ml at Rs. 3,920 and a 60 ml at Rs. 4,400 both show 20%. So the single price applies to the Classic line specifically, and the only published difference between the four is how many people have rated each.
The larger one, consistently, and the gap is bigger than the price suggests. Within one house in this read, a 50 ml bottle works out at Rs. 61.58 a millilitre, a 90 ml at Rs. 25.66 and a 100 ml at Rs. 39.20; within another, a 60 ml is Rs. 73.33 a millilitre against Rs. 34.30 for its 100 ml Classic line. Because every house here holds a fixed discount rate, the badge gives you no help in choosing - the bottle size is the only lever that changes what you pay per spray. Across the shelf the per-millilitre range for actual perfumes is Rs. 4.97 to Rs. 115.31, a 23x spread.
Very few. Only four of the 30 listings in this read publish more than a hundred ratings, one publishes none at all, and several of the most expensive bottles rest on three or four. The best-evidenced listing is a Rs. 3,825 eau de toilette with 4.1 from 191 ratings, followed by a Rs. 3,430 Jaguar Classic Black with 4.0 from 261. At the other end, a Rs. 9,030 bottle carries 5.0 from four ratings and a Rs. 9,225 one 5.0 from three - which this page reports as four people and three people rather than as five-star fragrances. One listing shows 1.7 from three ratings, the only sub-three-star average on the shelf. We did not buy, spray, smell or wear any of them, so nothing here judges a scent, and the price at your checkout prevails.
