AJIO Bedsheets and Curtains Under Rs. 1,000: 207 of 288 Listings, September 2026

We pulled AJIO's own search results for bedsheet, bed cover, curtain and cushion cover — two pages each, no filters, no sort, no account signed in — on 2 September 2026. That returned 288 distinct listings.

The shelf is cheap. 207 of the 288 sell under Rs. 1,000 and 62 under Rs. 500, with the whole range running from a Rs. 130 sheer window curtain to a Rs. 5,039 bed cover. The median listing is Rs. 734 at 60 per cent off.

The thing that makes this shelf different from every other AJIO category we have priced is what is missing: none of the 288 listings carries a rating or a rating count. Not a low one — none at all. The field a shopper would normally use to break a tie between two Rs. 640 bedsheets is simply not there.

Split by category and the four aisles price very differently. Curtains have the lowest floor (Rs. 130) and the lowest median discount (60 per cent). Bed covers are the most expensive aisle with a median of Rs. 884 and a ceiling of Rs. 5,039.

The curtain aisle is unusually concentrated: 52 of the 77 curtain listings are from a single brand, Cortina Eyelet Curtain. Its discounts run 60 to 74 per cent with a median of exactly 60, against MRPs from Rs. 499 to Rs. 4,599, and its median selling price is Rs. 634.

The fourth column is worth a caveat. AJIO's own results for “cushion cover” return split-AC covers and washing-machine covers alongside the cushion covers — that is the site's search relevance, not our grouping. Those rows are counted in the category total below but excluded from the price tables further down.

Grouped by brand, the pattern is the one we keep finding on Indian marketplace shelves: the biggest discount percentages belong to the brands with the biggest MRPs, not to the cheapest products.

Arrabi has the deepest badges on the shelf — nine listings at 83 to 87 per cent off — against MRPs of Rs. 2,329 to Rs. 8,489. Its median selling price is Rs. 900, which is entirely ordinary here. Saral Home and Urban Space, at the other end, show medians of 49 and 52 per cent against much lower MRPs.

BIANCA is the clearest single case: 11 listings spanning 17 to 73 per cent off. Same brand, same shelf, same morning, a 56-point spread in the badge. Our AJIO jewellery page found the same behaviour on a shelf where 91 listings sat under Rs. 500.

Sixty-two listings sell below Rs. 500. The floor is held by curtains — four Cortina sheer panels between Rs. 130 and Rs. 168 — and the cheapest bedsheet is a Good Homes animal print at Rs. 270 against an MRP of Rs. 1,499.

Read down the MRP column and the incoherence is easy to see. A Rs. 349 Arrabi single bedsheet is marked against Rs. 2,329; a Rs. 340 AAZEEM single bedsheet with the same pillow cover is marked against Rs. 999. Nine rupees apart on the shelf, Rs. 1,330 apart on the reference price.

Below that, the deepest-discount table shows what an 85-plus per cent badge on this shelf actually buys: eight of the twelve are Arrabi bed covers, and the money involved runs from Rs. 349 to Rs. 1,188.

The practical problem this page describes is narrow and real: on AJIO's home shelf you have a price, an MRP, a photograph and a brand name, and nothing else. There is no rating to weight, so the usual tie-breaker is unavailable.

Two things still work. The first is to ignore the percentage completely and sort by rupees — with 207 listings under Rs. 1,000, the spread that matters is Rs. 130 to Rs. 1,000, not 17 per cent to 87 per cent. The second is to read the specification in the product name, which on this shelf is unusually informative: thread count (150 TC, 200 TC, 300 TC), size (single, double, king), fabric (cotton, cotton blend, polycotton, satin) and how many pillow covers are included.
