Three of the jewellery pieces from this August 2026 read of AJIO listings - an Oomph multi-layered pearl necklace, a Rubans stone-studded necklace and earrings set and a Palmonas layered chain - shown as they appear on their AJIO listings

We pulled AJIO's jewellery, earring and necklace listings on 30 August 2026: 91 pieces from Rs. 49 to Rs. 3,460, median Rs. 233, with discount badges from 11 to 90 per cent.

Not one of the 91 carries a rating. What the shelf does reveal is who wrote each MRP — AJIO's own label discounts 11 to 50 per cent while marketplace labels claim 88 to 90 on pieces costing a fifth as much.

30 Aug 2026 — first published. Every product name, selling price, stated MRP and discount badge on this page was read from ajio.com's own category listing data for jewellery, earrings and necklaces on 30 August 2026. All 91 listings returned a price, an MRP and an image; none returned a rating average or a rating count, so no part of this page reports customer consensus. Brand medians, badge ranges, price bands and the median price are our own arithmetic over those 91 rows. Materials are quoted from listing titles as printed; no listing publishes plating thickness, metal purity, hallmarking or stone certification. We have not handled, tested or worn any piece. AJIO reprices frequently; we re-read this shelf and log what moves.

Ninety-one listings, and not one rating

We pulled AJIO's jewellery, earrings and necklace listings on 30 August 2026 and got 91 of them, every one returning a selling price, a stated MRP and an image. Prices run Rs. 49 to Rs. 3,460 with a median of Rs. 233, and the discount badges run 11 to 90 per cent with a median of 80.

Not one of the 91 listings returned a rating average or a rating count. That absence matters more on jewellery than on almost anything else, because the question a buyer actually has — how long does the plating last before the brass shows through — is exactly the question a few hundred owner ratings would answer.

So this page reports what the shelf does publish: prices, stated MRPs, materials as named in the listing titles, and the pattern in the badges. It ranks nothing by quality, because there is no evidence on this shelf to rank by.

Price bandListingsWhat it buys
Rs. 49 to Rs. 998Plated brass rings, studs, thin chains and mangalsutras

The badge belongs to the label, not the piece

Sorted by brand, the discount pattern on this shelf is almost mechanical. MAHI's median badge is 90 per cent, Oomph's 88, The Pari's 87, Designs & You's 85. These are marketplace labels: nothing outside the AJIO listing sets or supports their stated MRPs.

At the other end sits YOUSTA at a median 50 per cent, with one listing badged 11 — and YOUSTA is AJIO's own in-house label. When the retailer is also the brand, the stated MRP is a number it has to defend across its own business, and the badge shrinks accordingly. Palmonas, a direct-to-consumer label that sells the same pieces on its own site at its own prices, sits at 60 to 66 per cent.

The practical consequence is that a 90 per cent badge and a 50 per cent badge on this shelf tell you nothing about which piece is better made. Compare the rupee price and the stated material.

The arithmetic. A MAHI stud earring at Rs. 120 claims 90 per cent off a stated Rs. 1,199. A YOUSTA necklace at Rs. 177 claims 11 per cent off Rs. 199. The second is a smaller claim about a more expensive piece, and it is the one whose reference price the seller has to live with.

Rs. 49 to Rs. 132: what the floor of the shelf holds

Eight listings sell under Rs. 100, and they set the tone for the whole shelf. Two BRADO rings at Rs. 49 against a stated Rs. 329, a YOUSTA pair of three studs at Rs. 50, a gold-toned mangalsutra at Rs. 50.

At these prices the material question answers itself. The listing titles say gold-plated, silver-plated, brass and stainless steel, and that is what these are: a microns-thin plating over a base metal. Worn daily against skin, sweat and soap, plating on inexpensive costume jewellery typically shows wear within months rather than years, and none of these listings states a plating thickness.

That is not a reason to avoid the shelf. It is a reason to buy it as costume jewellery — pieces for a season or an occasion — rather than as something to keep. The listings that describe themselves as anti-tarnish stainless steel, mostly from Designs & You and Jewels galaxy at Rs. 150 to Rs. 250, are the ones making a durability claim at all.

The seven deepest claims, and the eight shallowest

Seven listings on this shelf claim 89 or 90 per cent off. The largest in rupee terms is a Valley of Jewellery necklace-and-earrings set at Rs. 750 against a stated Rs. 7,500 — a reference price exactly ten times the selling price, which is a round number of the kind that tends to be chosen rather than charged.

Set that against the shallow end. YOUSTA's 11 per cent, Shein's 13, BRADO's 30 on one of its own sets, Salty Alpha's 35 and 48, and Palmonas' 60 to 66. Every one of those brands has a storefront of its own — AJIO's house label, a global fast-fashion site, a D2C jewellery brand — where its prices are visible to anyone.

The correlation is not perfect and we are not claiming intent on anyone's part. But across 91 listings the direction is consistent enough to be the single most useful thing to know before reading a badge on this shelf.

How we read this shelf, and what we cannot tell you

These figures come from AJIO's own category listing data for jewellery, earrings and necklaces, pulled on 30 August 2026 as a logged-out visitor. Ninety-one listings returned a selling price, a stated MRP and an image, and none returned a rating average or a rating count, so no part of this page reports customer consensus. Materials - gold-plated, silver-plated, brass, stainless steel, anti-tarnish - are quoted from listing titles as printed; none of these listings publishes a plating thickness, a metal purity, a hallmarking claim or a stone certification, and we have not tested, weighed or examined any piece. Our notes on how plating wears describe how inexpensive costume jewellery behaves in general rather than findings about these specific items. Where we describe a brand as having its own storefront, that is context for reading its reference price based on where it is publicly sold, not a verification of the price itself. AJIO reprices frequently and applies further coupon discounts at checkout.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does jewellery cost on AJIO?
In our 30 August 2026 read of 91 jewellery, earring and necklace listings, prices ran from Rs. 49 to Rs. 3,460 with a median of Rs. 233. Eight listings sold under Rs. 100, including BRADO brass rings at Rs. 49 and a YOUSTA set of three studs at Rs. 50. The bulk of the shelf - 45 listings - sat between Rs. 100 and Rs. 299, which covers pendants, hoops, layered chains and small sets. Twenty-seven listings were Rs. 300 to Rs. 999, mostly necklace-and-earring sets and oxidised or temple-style pieces, and eleven were above Rs. 1,000, topping out at a Rs. 3,460 Karatcart set. Prices change frequently and a coupon can reduce them further at checkout.
Is the jewellery on AJIO real gold?
No, and the listings do not claim to be. Every piece in this read describes itself in its title as gold-plated, silver-plated, gold-toned, brass or stainless steel - which means a thin plated layer over a base metal. At a median price of Rs. 233, that is the only thing it could be: the metal value alone of even a light real-gold piece would be many times these prices. None of the 91 listings publishes a plating thickness, a metal purity, a hallmark or a stone certification. That is not a criticism of the shelf, which is openly selling costume jewellery; it is a reason to buy for a season or an occasion rather than as something to keep, and to be sceptical of any listing that implies otherwise.
Why do AJIO jewellery listings show 90% off?
Because the badge is arithmetic between the selling price and a stated MRP the seller supplies, and on this shelf the sellers with the biggest badges are marketplace labels whose reference prices nothing outside the listing supports. In our read, MAHI's median badge was 90 per cent, Oomph's 88 and Designs and You's 85. Against that, YOUSTA - AJIO's own in-house label - discounted a median 50 per cent with one listing at 11, and Palmonas, which sells the same pieces on its own site, sat at 60 to 66. One necklace set was priced at Rs. 750 against a stated Rs. 7,500, exactly ten times. Read the rupee price and the stated material, and treat the percentage as a fact about the reference price.
Does AJIO publish ratings for jewellery?
Not on any of the 91 listings we read on 30 August 2026 - not one returned a rating average or a rating count. This is the same gap we found on AJIO's fragrance and sweater shelves, and it is most costly here. The single thing a buyer of Rs. 200 plated jewellery wants to know is how quickly the plating wears, and that is precisely what a few hundred owner ratings would reveal and a product photograph cannot. In the absence of any on-site evidence, the practical approach is to look for the brand elsewhere - several of these labels also sell on Myntra, Amazon or their own sites where ratings exist - or to treat the purchase as disposable costume jewellery and price it accordingly.
Which is better value on AJIO, a Rs. 120 earring at 90% off or a Rs. 500 one at 35%?
The percentages are not comparable, so the question has to be answered on the rupees and the material. The Rs. 120 MAHI stud at a 90 per cent badge and the Rs. 501 Salty Alpha hoop at 35 per cent are both plated pieces, and the difference between them in the listing data is the price and the brand, not any published measure of quality. What the shallower badge does tell you is that the seller has a reference price it must defend somewhere outside AJIO, which makes the stated MRP more meaningful - but that is information about pricing, not about plating. With no ratings on the shelf, the honest answer is to buy the piece you like at a price you would be content to treat as disposable.
Prices & codes last verified: 30 August 2026
Every product name, selling price, stated MRP and discount percentage on this page was read from ajio.com's own category listings for jewellery, earrings and necklaces on 30 August 2026 and is reported as published. A stated MRP is the figure the listing displays and we have not verified that any piece was sold at one, so every percentage here is arithmetic over AJIO's own two numbers rather than a measured saving. None of the 91 listings carried a rating average or a rating count, so nothing on this page reports customer consensus, and no piece here is ranked or recommended on quality. Materials such as gold-plated, silver-plated, gold-toned, brass, stainless steel and anti-tarnish are quoted from listing titles as printed; no listing publishes a plating thickness, metal purity, hallmark or stone certification, and we have not handled, weighed, tested or worn any item. Our notes on how plating wears on inexpensive costume jewellery describe how such items generally behave rather than findings about these specific pieces, and nothing here is a durability guarantee or a skin-safety claim - plated base metals can cause reactions in people with metal sensitivities. Where we describe a brand as having or lacking a storefront of its own, that is context for reading its reference price based on where the brand is publicly sold, not a verification of the price, and we make no claim about how any seller sets its MRP or about its intent in doing so. Prices change frequently and can differ at checkout after a coupon or bank offer. Brand names and marks belong to their respective owners. Zoutons may earn a commission if you buy through links on this page; it does not change what you pay, and nothing here was reviewed or approved by AJIO.
