AJIO Tops and Dresses Under Rs. 600: 150 of 192 Listings, September 2026

We read 192 women's tops and dresses from AJIO's own search on 6 September 2026, every one carrying a price and a stated MRP above it. The shelf runs Rs. 100 to Rs. 1,549 at a median of Rs. 420, and 150 of the 192 are under Rs. 600.

Tops are the cheaper half at a median Rs. 348 against Rs. 459 for dresses, and the floor is genuinely low: a Teamspirit boxy-fit top at Rs. 100, a FIG knit top at Rs. 175, three separate listings at Rs. 180. At the top of the shelf a Zummer shirt dress is Rs. 1,549 — so the entire range here fits inside what a single mid-market dress costs elsewhere.

The median discount is 73%, which sounds like the story and is not. The story is that the badge on this shelf is set by the brand rather than by the garment, and the next section shows two brands proving it.

Put two brands from this shelf side by side. XQsee has 15 listings at a median price of Rs. 248 and a median 89% off. FIG has 14 listings at a median price of Rs. 382 — more than half again as expensive — and a median 49% off.

The reason is entirely in the MRP column. XQsee's stated MRPs run Rs. 2,147 to Rs. 2,364; FIG's run Rs. 399 to Rs. 799. Neither brand is doing anything improper and we allege nothing — a list price is a number a seller is entitled to set — but the arithmetic consequence is worth internalising: the garment you pay less for shows the smaller discount, and a shopper sorting this page by discount is sorting it by which brands write big list prices.

ZWERLON X AG is the extreme case, with a median price of Rs. 323, a median 89% off and stated MRPs reaching Rs. 3,817. At the other end, 31 separate listings on this shelf share one stated MRP of exactly Rs. 999 — a round number that recurs across unrelated brands and garments. The ten cheapest listings in this read run Rs. 100 to Rs. 190 and all ten are tops. The Rs. 100 Teamspirit typographic boxy top is the single lowest price we found; the two Rs. 180 listings and the Rs. 190 Maheshvi crop top sit against stated MRPs of Rs. 999, which is where those 82% badges come from.

The Zilcon round-neck top at Rs. 160 against a stated Rs. 1,999 is the deepest badge on the entire shelf at 92%. Two Glowberry tops at Rs. 179 and Rs. 180 carry 88% against stated MRPs of Rs. 1,488 and Rs. 1,499.

What we cannot tell you is what any of these garments is like, and on this shelf that gap is wider than usual: with no ratings and no reviews returned for any listing, a Rs. 100 top is a photograph, a fabric description and a price. Sizing, fabric weight and how a print actually reads in daylight are exactly the things a cheap online listing cannot settle, which is why AJIO's 10-day return window and its non-returnable list matter more here than on shelves where thousands of people have already said what they thought.

Above Rs. 1,000 the shelf thins out fast — a Zummer shirt dress at Rs. 1,549 against a stated Rs. 5,599, a Purvaja fit-and-flare at Rs. 1,428, a LEIA printed flare at Rs. 1,198. Those four-figure listings are a small minority of what this search returns.

The table below is the dearest nine dresses that still come in under Rs. 600, which is the band where this shelf actually lives. Compare them on fabric and shape rather than on the badge: every one of them is 60% or more off a stated MRP, so the percentage separates nothing.

The discount distribution on this shelf is skewed hard: 130 of the 192 listings are 70% off or more, 44 are at 80% or more, and only 24 are under 50%. On most shelves a 70% badge is the exception; here it is the median.

The 24 shallow-badge listings are the interesting ones, because they are where a stated MRP looks like a price someone might actually have charged.
