Amazon Cookware and Pressure Cooker Prices September 2026: 89 Listings

We read Amazon India's cookware listings on 1 September 2026 across three searches — pressure cookers, cookware sets and non-stick kadais — sorted by popularity, no filters, no account signed in. That is 89 unique listings from Rs. 314 to Rs. 12,999.

Twenty of the 89 state an MRP that is arithmetic rather than a price, and sixteen of those follow one pattern: the stated MRP is the selling price divided by the number of pieces the title says the set contains. A Bergner “4 Pcs” set sells at Rs. 2,196 against a stated Rs. 549 — exactly a quarter. A Vinod “25-Piece” box sells at Rs. 7,399 against Rs. 295, a factor of 25.08.

That looks like a per-piece figure landing in the MRP field, not a list price. Amazon renders it as a 0 per cent discount because the “MRP” is below the price, so nothing on the page flags it. The divisor matches the piece count printed in the title in eleven of the sixteen cases exactly.

The other four broken MRPs run the opposite way, and they are the familiar defect: the stated figure is exactly 100 times the selling price, which is a paise-for-rupees unit error in the listing feed.

A Bergner pressure cooker at Rs. 1,440 states an MRP of Rs. 1,44,000. A Tramontina kadai at Rs. 1,699 states Rs. 1,69,900. All four display a 99 per cent off badge, which is the largest badge anywhere on this shelf and means nothing at all.

Between the two patterns, 22 per cent of this shelf carries an MRP that cannot be a list price. That is the context for every percentage below.

Every Hawkins listing we read is within a few per cent of its MRP: 5 per cent off on the Contura 1.5 L, 5 on the Classic 2 L, 5 on the Classic 1.5 L, 7 per cent on the Contura Black 3 L.

Those are not obscure listings. The Contura Black 3 L at Rs. 2,059 carries 39,751 ratings at 4.3 — the largest rating pool on this entire shelf — and the Contura 1.5 L and Classic 2 L carry 23,458 and 22,174. The brand with the most buyer evidence behind it is the one that discounts least.

This is the same pattern we found on Myntra's watch shelf, where 27 of 28 Casio listings sat at MRP. A brand that prices at or near list is not overcharging; it is declining to run listing-level discounts, which means waiting for a sale on a specific Hawkins model is usually waiting for nothing.

The pressure-cooker end of the shelf runs from Rs. 699 (Pigeon Favourite outer lid, 33,356 ratings) up to the Rs. 2,059 Hawkins. Below Rs. 1,100 it is almost entirely Pigeon aluminium.

Pigeon is worth watching because it sits at both ends of the discount range at once: 5 per cent off on its 101 Deluxe and 11 per cent on its 12260, but 50 per cent on the Favourite and 54 on the hard-anodised inner lid. Same brand, same shelf, same day — so the badge is a property of the listing, not of the brand's pricing policy.

The stainless-steel options start higher: Butterfly's Curve 3 L at Rs. 1,645 with 23,355 ratings, and a Lifelong 2 L at Rs. 1,099 that shows the deepest legitimate discount in the group at 66 per cent off a Rs. 3,200 stated MRP. Our Amazon gas stove price page covers what sits under these.

A single non-stick kadai starts at Rs. 314 on this shelf, though at that end the rating counts collapse — the cheapest listings carry three, four and five ratings. The first well-reviewed kadai is the Amazon Solimo 22 cm at Rs. 669 with 2,179 ratings.

Multi-piece sets start around Rs. 1,099 for a five-piece stainless steel set and run to Rs. 2,615 for a three-piece Prestige Omega Deluxe with 12,046 ratings. The two sets with the largest rating pools are the Pigeon Mio gift set at Rs. 1,249 (21,825 ratings) and the Prestige Omega Deluxe.

Note how weakly price and evidence correlate here: the Rs. 2,609 Amazon Basics five-piece set has 290 ratings, and the Rs. 1,249 Pigeon set has 21,825.
