Three washing machines sold on Croma — a Godrej semi-automatic, a Samsung semi-automatic and a Lloyd machine — arranged as a colour-block layout, on this page about Croma washing machine prices

Croma's cheapest front-load washing machine is Rs. 23,990 and carries Croma's own name. The next front loader on the same shelf, from a brand you have heard of, is Rs. 32,990. That Rs. 9,000 step is the shape of this whole aisle.

We read 104 machines from Croma's own search results on 3 September 2026. Below: what each format actually costs, why the median discount is 20% rather than 70%, and why the biggest badges on the aisle sit on machines almost nobody has rated.

3 Sep 2026 — first published. All 104 models were read from croma.com's own search service on 3 September 2026 for the queries washing machine, front load washing machine and semi automatic washing machine, two pages each, as served to a logged-out visitor, with nothing purchased. Croma re-ranks these results continuously and moves prices without notice, so we re-read the aisle and log what has changed here.

Croma's own machine is the cheapest in every format on its own shelf

We read 104 washing machines from Croma's own search results on 3 September 2026. Sort them by format and the same brand sits at the bottom of each list, and it is the one with Croma's name on it.

In semi-automatics, the floor is a Croma 6.5 kg at Rs. 8,090; the next brand is Samsung at Rs. 9,990. In fully automatic top loads, Croma's 6.5 kg at Rs. 12,790 against Whirlpool's 7 kg at Rs. 17,070. In front loads — the format where the gap is widest — Croma's 7 kg inverter is Rs. 23,990 and the next machine in the same format is Whirlpool at Rs. 32,990. That is a Rs. 9,000 step to the first brand name.

This is not unusual for a retailer's own label, but the size of the gap is worth seeing in numbers rather than assuming. What a Rs. 9,000 gap buys in motor warranty, service network or build is not in the listing data, and we did not test any of these machines.

The own label also runs twice the discount of the brands beside it

Grouped by brand, the aisle's median discount is 20% — a long way from the 60–80% badges that fashion shelves carry, and a reminder that large appliances are priced much closer to their stated MRP.

Within that, one brand is an outlier. Croma's own label runs a median 38% off across its 16 models. LG's 22 models sit at 18%, Samsung's 21 at 17%, Whirlpool's 12 at 18%, IFB's 10 at 15%. Bosch (35%), Godrej (30%) and Haier (29%) sit in between, each on a much smaller number of models.

So the own label wins on the badge and on the price at the same time. On a fashion shelf those two things usually pull apart — the deep badge sits on the high stated MRP. Here the cheapest machines genuinely are the cheapest, and the percentage is pointing the same way as the rupee figure.

Appliances discount differently. Median discount across all 104 machines is 20%, and only 13 models are above 40% off. If you are used to reading 70% badges on clothing, this aisle simply does not work that way.

What each price band buys

Twenty-one of the 104 machines are under Rs. 15,000, and that band is almost entirely semi-automatic — two tubs, manual transfer, no plumbing. The exceptions are Croma's own 6.5 kg and 7.5 kg fully automatic top loads at Rs. 12,790 and Rs. 13,790.

The largest band, Rs. 15,000 to Rs. 30,000, holds 41 machines: most of the fully automatic top loads on the aisle, plus Croma's own front loads at Rs. 23,990 and Rs. 26,994. Above Rs. 30,000 you are buying brand-name front loads, and above Rs. 50,000 you are mostly buying washer-dryer combinations rather than a bigger washer.

The top of the aisle is a long way up: a Samsung 25 kg Wi-Fi washer-dryer at Rs. 3,31,170 and LG's WashTower combo at Rs. 1,79,990. Those are real listings on the same search, and they are why the aisle's average price is a much less useful number than its median of Rs. 22,592.

The deepest badges have the thinnest evidence behind them

The cheapest machine on the entire aisle is a FOXSKY 8 kg semi-automatic at Rs. 4,994, carrying the aisle's biggest badge at 71% off a stated MRP of Rs. 16,990. It is rated 1.0, from one rating.

The pattern repeats through the rest of the deep-discount group. Panasonic's 12 kg semi-automatic at 59% off has no rating at all. Voltas Beko's two machines, at 53% and 46%, carry one rating and none. One rating is not evidence, and a 1.0 score from a single buyer is not a verdict either — but neither is a 71% badge, and on this aisle they are attached to the same machine.

Set against that, the two most-rated machines on the aisle are discounted modestly: Samsung's 7 kg top load at 19% off (4.4 from 121 ratings) and Croma's own 7.5 kg semi-automatic at 26% off (4.6 from 120). If you want a machine other people have actually bought and scored, that is where the aisle's evidence is concentrated.

💡 One number worth checking before the badge. Croma's own 7.5 kg fully automatic top load is the deepest-discounted machine on this aisle among models with real rating volume — 43% off at Rs. 13,790 — and it is rated 2.9 from 67 ratings, the weakest score on the aisle among well-rated models. Its 7.5 kg semi-automatic stablemate, Rs. 11,890 at 26% off, is rated 4.6 from 120. Same brand, same capacity, very different reception.

The machines the most people have rated

Rating counts on this aisle are small by e-commerce standards — the busiest machine has 121 ratings, and 53 of the 104 models have none at all. That is normal for large appliances, which sell in far lower volumes than phones or headphones, and it means a single review moves a score a long way.

Read with that caveat, the table below is the closest thing this aisle has to a consensus. Six of the eight most-rated machines are Croma's own label, which tells you something about what actually leaves the shelf as much as about quality.

For the rest of Croma's large-appliance pricing, our Croma own-brand appliance page covers the same own-label pattern across other categories, and the Croma return policy page matters more than usual here: Croma runs a replacement-only policy with a 7-day window, and installation has to be done by the brand's authorised service centre inside that window.

How this page was read, and what it does not tell you

All 104 models were read from croma.com's own search service on 3 September 2026, for the queries “washing machine”, “front load washing machine” and “semi automatic washing machine”, two pages of results each, as served to a logged-out visitor in India. Price, maximum retail price, discount percentage, rating and rating count are Croma's own published figures, reproduced without adjustment. Median, count and band figures are ours, computed from those 104 rows and nothing else. Models whose listing carried no discount over MRP are not returned by this search, so this is the discounted part of the aisle rather than the whole catalogue.

What that means for what you can conclude. Six pages of search results are not Croma's full washing machine range, so nothing here is a claim about the cheapest machine Croma sells. Prices move without notice and Croma re-ranks these results continuously; exchange offers, bank card discounts, no-cost EMI and anything applied at checkout are not visible in this data and can move your final price in either direction. We cannot verify whether any stated maximum retail price was ever a live selling price and make no claim either way. Ratings and rating counts are Croma's, unaudited by us, and on this aisle they rest on very small samples — 53 of the 104 models carry no rating at all, and several of the figures quoted above rest on a single rating, which we have said explicitly wherever it is the case. Nothing here is a judgement of build quality, wash performance, motor or drum durability, energy consumption in use, warranty terms or after-sales service: no machine was handled, installed, run or tested, star ratings quoted are the BEE labels stated in Croma's listing titles rather than anything we measured, and neither a discount percentage nor a customer rating is a recommendation to buy.

What to do with this before you buy

Decide the format first, then the brand. The three formats on this aisle start Rs. 8,090, Rs. 12,790 and Rs. 23,990 apart, and the format decides far more of your price than the badge does. A semi-automatic and a front loader are different appliances, not different price points.

Price the own label against the first brand name in the same format. That gap is Rs. 1,900 in semi-automatics, Rs. 4,280 in top loads and Rs. 9,000 in front loads. Whether it is worth paying is a question about service network and warranty, which the listing does not answer — but it is a much more useful question than which badge is bigger.

Treat a badge with one rating behind it as one data point. The 71%, 59% and 53% listings on this aisle carry one rating, none and one respectively. The machines with 120-plus ratings are discounted 19–26%. And check the return terms before delivery day: Croma's policy is replacement-only, the window is seven days, and damage has to be reported before the machine is used.

The short version

Croma's washing machine aisle runs Rs. 4,994 to Rs. 3,31,170 across the 104 models we read, median Rs. 22,592 at a median 20% off — appliances simply do not discount the way clothing does. Twenty-one models are under Rs. 15,000, mostly semi-automatics.

Croma's own label is the floor in all three formats (Rs. 8,090, Rs. 12,790, Rs. 23,990) and runs a median 38% off against LG's 18%, Samsung's 17% and IFB's 15%. The front-load gap to the first brand name is Rs. 9,000. The deepest badges on the aisle — 71%, 59%, 53% — sit on machines with one rating, none and one; the two most-rated machines are discounted 19% and 26%. Pick the format, then compare the own label with the brand beside it.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the cheapest washing machine on Croma right now?
Across the 104 models we read on 3 September 2026, the lowest price was Rs. 4,994 for a FOXSKY 8 kg semi-automatic top load, a 71% badge against a stated MRP of Rs. 16,990 — but it is rated 1.0 from a single rating, which is worth knowing before the price decides it. The next cheapest are Croma's own 6.5 kg semi-automatic at Rs. 8,090 (4.0 from 14 ratings) and 7 kg at Rs. 8,690. The cheapest fully automatic top load is Croma's 6.5 kg at Rs. 12,790 and the cheapest front load is Croma's 7 kg inverter at Rs. 23,990. These are the cheapest on the search pages we read, and prices move without notice.
Is Croma's own-brand washing machine cheaper than LG or Samsung?
On this aisle, yes, in every format, and by a clear margin. The cheapest semi-automatic is Croma's at Rs. 8,090 against Samsung's Rs. 9,990. The cheapest fully automatic top load is Croma's at Rs. 12,790 against Whirlpool's Rs. 17,070. The cheapest front load is Croma's 7 kg inverter at Rs. 23,990 against Whirlpool's Rs. 32,990 — a Rs. 9,000 gap. Croma's own label also runs the aisle's deepest median discount at 38%, against LG's 18% and Samsung's 17%. What that price gap costs you in service network, warranty or build is not published in the listing data, and we did not test any machine.
How much does a front load washing machine cost at Croma?
On the front-load searches we read, prices started at Rs. 23,990 for Croma's own 7 kg 5 star inverter model and Rs. 23,994 for its non-inverter sibling, with the 8 kg at Rs. 26,994. Brand-name front loads began at Rs. 32,990 (Whirlpool 7 kg inverter) and Rs. 34,990 (Samsung 7 kg), with most sitting between Rs. 35,000 and Rs. 50,000. Above Rs. 50,000 the aisle shifts to washer-dryer combinations and 12 kg-plus machines, up to an LG WashTower at Rs. 1,79,990 and a Samsung 25 kg washer-dryer at Rs. 3,31,170. All figures as published on 3 September 2026.
Why are washing machine discounts on Croma so much smaller than clothing discounts?
Because the stated maximum retail price on a large appliance sits much closer to what the machine actually sells for. The median discount across all 104 machines we read was 20%, and only 13 models were above 40% off. On a clothing shelf, 60–80% badges are routine because the brand sets a high MRP and discounts from it. Here the two numbers are close together, which is why the rupee price rather than the percentage is the figure to compare — and why, unusually, the machines with the deepest badges on this aisle are also genuinely the cheapest.
Can I return a washing machine to Croma if I do not like it?
Not for change of mind. Croma's published policy is replacement-only, with a 7-day window covering defective or damaged products, and it lists “Buyer's Remorse” as an exclusion. For a defective appliance, the brand inspects it at your home and a replacement follows the brand's confirmation; a refund is paid only where the wrong product was delivered or the same model is out of stock. Damage has to be reported before the machine is used or activated, and warranty eligibility requires installation by the authorised brand service centre within 7 days of delivery. Our Croma return policy page covers the full set of rules.
