Flipkart Smart Bulb and Plug Prices September 2026: Rs. 240 Up

We pulled Flipkart's results for "smart bulb", "smart plug" and "smart door lock" on 25 September 2026 - two pages each, 185 distinct listings - and then did something simple: we read every title and counted how many of them claim the thing the search term asks for.

Of the 71 results returned for "smart bulb", eight state Wi-Fi, app control, Alexa or Google Assistant anywhere in their own title. Thirty-six mention a Bluetooth speaker or music playback. Five are sewing-machine lamps. Seven are star projectors or night lights, two are torches, one is a strip light and one is a laser-engraved glass sphere.

That is not a complaint about the products - a Rs. 261 sewing-machine lamp may be a perfectly good sewing-machine lamp. It is a warning about the shelf. If you type "smart bulb" expecting bulbs you can switch from your phone, seven out of eight results are something else, and the ones that are not run from Rs. 240 to Rs. 5,999.

Here is the whole connected-bulb shelf as the search returned it. Three brands carry a rating count in the hundreds or thousands: Havells Glamax at Rs. 713 with 1,313 ratings, TP-Link's Tapo L530B at Rs. 998 with 624, and the Philips WiZ E27 at Rs. 999 with 265. Philips' Wi-Fi table lamps at Rs. 5,499 and Rs. 5,999 are the top of the band and carry 6 and 16 ratings between them.

The cheapest listing that states app control and voice assistants is Zeswin's B22 9W at Rs. 240 against a stated Rs. 1,299 MRP - an 82% badge, the largest on the connected-bulb group, with 48 ratings behind it. The Philips WiZ E27 at the other end of the badge scale is 11% off and costs Rs. 999. The badge spans 11% to 82% across eight listings selling broadly the same function.

Below that table is a sample of what the other 63 results actually are, priced as listed. Every one of them appeared when we searched "smart bulb".

Inside the 36 music-and-speaker bulbs there is a block that repeats. Twenty-four listings state an MRP of exactly Rs. 999. They come from 18 distinct seller names and sell at eleven different prices between Rs. 293 and Rs. 550. Thirteen of the 24 publish no rating at all.

The seller names are Webilla, ELWAA, PHAGQU, Bhanu, Motile, Truckbell, Eloquence, HIMOCEAN, Jeeguru, FlipBright, Shifozaa, MUSTTALK, Stir Collections, SUCHETA, Twixxle, CaasaHive, KASHA, Planetoid, AVN Elite, Ruvoo and others. The descriptions are near-identical: a B22 RGB LED bulb with a Bluetooth speaker and a 24-key remote. Nine of them sell at the same Rs. 458.

We have seen this exact shape on another Flipkart shelf this week - 29 pantyliner listings under 29 product names against one Rs. 399 MRP. The practical consequence is the same: sorting this shelf by price shows you the same object a dozen times before it shows you a second product, and the stated MRP is doing no work, because 24 different sellers cannot all have independently arrived at Rs. 999.

"Smart plug" returns a healthier shelf. Twenty-eight of the 59 results state Wi-Fi, app control, Alexa or Google in the title, and they run from Rs. 640 to Rs. 3,700 with a median of Rs. 947. Zebronics, Wipro, TP-Link, Qubo and Philips all appear, and several carry four-figure rating counts - Zebronics' Zeb-SP116 has 2,615, its SP110 has 1,972, Qubo's 16A has 1,477 and Tapo's P110 has 969.

Our own test is textual, and we should say where it fails. Some of the 31 listings that do not say Wi-Fi are obviously smart plugs with short titles - "ZEBRONICS ZEB-SP110" at Rs. 799, "TOPO Tapo P110 Smart Plug" at Rs. 914, "Wipro DSP1160 Smart Plug" at Rs. 1,948. Counting words in a title is a rough instrument and it undercounts short names.

It does not undercount the rest. Four of the 59 results are universal travel adapters. Six are extension boards or three-way multi-plugs. Seven are manual or RF switches - a steam-iron on/off switch at Rs. 120, an industrial rotary switch at Rs. 668, a USB printer-sharing switch at Rs. 738, a programmable timer at Rs. 1,982. One is a 12-24V DC-to-AC converter board. None of those connect to anything.

The "smart door lock" search returns 55 listings, of which eight are padlocks and six are door closers, latches, sirens, handsets or remote kits - a Rs. 286 automatic door closer and a Rs. 285 four-digit combination lock both appear on a page of Rs. 15,000 fingerprint locks.

The 41 that describe themselves as smart door locks span Rs. 285 to Rs. 25,999 with a median of Rs. 8,627 - the widest band in this entire read. The brands with real rating samples sit in the middle and upper middle: NATIVE by Urban Company's Lock Pro has 618 ratings, Qubo's Essential has 210, Atomberg's Azhero has 165 and its SL1 has 120, Godrej's Catus Advantage has 46.

Fifteen of the 41 publish no rating at all, and the badge range is 6% to 79%. The largest stated MRPs sit on the least-rated listings: Fitpro's Sentinel S1 at Rs. 4,642 states a Rs. 21,999 MRP - 4.74 times its selling price - on five ratings, and GOLENS' X95 at Rs. 12,440 states Rs. 52,499 on eight. At the other end, tuchware's two locks are 6% off and Eleph Tech's is 12% off, none of them rated. For a lock, the rating count is the only independent signal on the tile, and on this shelf a third of the shelf does not have one.

Nothing on this page was bought, unboxed, installed, paired or tested. Every description here is the listing's own title text as Flipkart served it on 25 September 2026, and our counts are counts of that text - not judgements about whether a product works.

A title that does not say "Wi-Fi" may still be a Wi-Fi device, and we have named three cases where that is plainly so. A title that does say it is not thereby verified. What the count establishes is narrower and still worth knowing: the words a seller chooses to put in a title are the only thing you can read from the search page, and on the "smart bulb" shelf those words describe a connected bulb eight times out of 71.
