Two shops, one morning, one category. We read 147 AJIO jewellery listings and 160 Myntra ones on 29 September 2026 and looked for the places where the same thing is sold on both.
An NVR set of silver-plated kada anklets is listed on both shelves under the same title and the same stated MRP of Rs. 1,999. AJIO asks Rs. 500. Myntra asks Rs. 267. Below: both matched pairs, the shelf-level table where AJIO comes out cheaper on the median, the eight brands stocked by both, and the difference that is not about money at all.
📅 Update log:
29 September 2026 — first published. Both shelf reads, the matched-pair check and every median here were carried out on this date from ajio.com and myntra.com's own listing data, logged out, in India, with nothing purchased. Prices and listings change continuously.
Same brand, same stated MRP, Rs. 233 apart
We read both shelves on the same morning - 29 September 2026 - to see whether the two big fashion retailers price jewellery differently. 147 AJIO listings, 160 Myntra listings, logged out, nothing bought.
Eight brands appear on both. Two products carry effectively the same title and the identical stated MRP on both shelves, and on both of them Myntra is cheaper.
| Product | Stated MRP (both) | AJIO price | AJIO badge | Myntra price | Myntra badge | Gap |
|---|
| NVR Set of 2 Silver-Plated Kada Anklets | Rs. 1,999 | Rs. 500 | 75% | Rs. 267 | 87% | Rs. 233 |
| GIVA silver minimal black beads anklet | Rs. 2,999 | Rs. 1,033 | 66% | Rs. 779 | 74% | Rs. 254 |
The anklet pair is the cleanest. Both listings read "Set of 2 Silver-Plated Kada Anklets" from the same brand, both state an MRP of Rs. 1,999, and one sells at Rs. 500 and the other at Rs. 267. Because the MRP is held constant, the entire difference shows up in the badge: 75% against 87%.
On the GIVA anklet the titles differ very slightly - AJIO's says "Single Anklet" where Myntra's says "Anklet" - so treat that pair as near-matched rather than matched. The stated MRP is Rs. 2,999 on both and the gap is Rs. 254.
We have handled neither item and we are not asserting that two listings sharing a title and an MRP are the same physical product. What we can say is that two shops publishing the same brand, the same description and the same MRP are asking different money for it.
The two shelves overall
| AJIO | Myntra |
|---|
| Listings read | 147 | 160 |
| Median selling price | Rs. 363 | Rs. 431 |
| Median discount badge | 70% | 68% |
| Median stated MRP | Rs. 1,199 | Rs. 1,429 |
| Stated MRP as a multiple of price | 3.33x | 3.14x |
| Listings under Rs. 500 | 107 of 147 | 98 of 160 |
| Price range | Rs. 79 – Rs. 3,231 | Rs. 188 – Rs. 1,336 |
| Publishing a rating | 0 of 147 | 110 of 160 |
At shelf level AJIO is the cheaper of the two on the median - Rs. 363 against Rs. 431 - and it lists more of its range under Rs. 500, 107 of 147 against 98 of 160. It also prints slightly larger discounts and slightly larger MRP multiples. Neither shelf's badge is doing much work: a median stated MRP of about 3.2 times the selling price on both.
The range is the interesting difference. AJIO's shelf runs from Rs. 79 to Rs. 3,231 while Myntra's tops out at Rs. 1,336 in this read, so AJIO carries both a cheaper floor and a dearer ceiling in the same five categories.
Brand by brand, it is mixed
Eight brands appear on both shelves. If the matched pairs suggested Myntra is simply cheaper, the brand medians complicate that.
| Brand | AJIO listings | AJIO median | Myntra listings | Myntra median | Cheaper |
|---|
| NVR | 2 | Rs. 500 | 1 | Rs. 267 | Myntra, by 47% |
| GIVA | 5 | Rs. 1,033 | 3 | Rs. 647 | Myntra, by 37% |
| Saraf RS Jewellery | 1 | Rs. 413 | 3 | Rs. 690 | AJIO, by 40% |
| Yellow Chimes | 4 | Rs. 432 | 2 | Rs. 322 | Myntra, by 26% |
| Zeneme | 2 | Rs. 292 | 1 | Rs. 259 | Myntra, by 11% |
| Minutiae | 1 | Rs. 500 | 2 | Rs. 410 | Myntra, by 18% |
| Rubans | 12 | Rs. 847 | 4 | Rs. 910 | level |
| Zeraki Jewels | 7 | Rs. 500 | 1 | Rs. 839 | AJIO, by 40% |
Five of the eight go to Myntra, two to AJIO and one is level. Zeraki Jewels is Rs. 500 on AJIO against Rs. 839 on Myntra, and Saraf RS Jewellery is Rs. 413 against Rs. 690. These are medians over small counts - one to twelve listings a brand - and the two shops are not stocking identical ranges, so read the table as a guide to where to check first rather than as a verdict.
The honest summary: on the two products we could match exactly, Myntra was cheaper both times. Across brands as a whole, neither shop is reliably cheaper, and the right move on a specific piece is to open both tabs.
AJIO published a rating on none of its 147 listings
This is the one difference with no ambiguity in it. Across 147 AJIO jewellery listings, not one displayed a star average or a rating count. Myntra published one on 110 of its 160, ranging up to 7,038 ratings on a single set.
It is not a jewellery-specific quirk. Our earlier reads of AJIO's sock, belt, cap, towel and umbrella shelves returned 0 published ratings across 167 listings, and its men's sandals shelf 0 of 36. Whatever AJIO does with customer feedback, it does not put it on the listing page.
For a Rs. 300 piece of fashion jewellery bought on a photograph, that matters more than a Rs. 60 price difference. On the matched anklet pair above, the Myntra listing is both Rs. 233 cheaper and carries 7 published ratings; on the GIVA anklet it is Rs. 254 cheaper and carries 211.
How to actually buy across the two
- Search the exact product title on both. The matched pairs here were found by title, not by browsing, and the gaps were Rs. 233 and Rs. 254 on items under Rs. 1,100.
- Compare selling prices, never badges. On the anklet pair the stated MRP is identical at Rs. 1,999, so the badge difference - 75% against 87% - is purely a restatement of the price difference.
- If you need reassurance, that decides it. AJIO publishes no ratings on this category at all, so on any piece stocked by both, Myntra is the one where you can see what buyers said.
- Check AJIO first for the cheap end. Its floor is Rs. 79 against Rs. 188, and 107 of its 147 listings sit under Rs. 500.
Method, in full
Both reads were run on 29 September 2026, server-side, logged out, from an Indian IP, with nothing purchased and no account signed in. The AJIO read used its own search endpoint for clutch, bangles, anklet, earrings and necklace and returned 147 distinct listings; the Myntra read used its jewellery-set, bangle-bracelet, anklets, earrings and necklaces-chains listing pages and returned 160 distinct listings, product ids deduped. The two shelves are not identical in composition - AJIO's includes clutches and Myntra's includes jewellery sets - so shelf-level medians compare two similar but not matched sets of products, which is why the matched-product and brand-level tables exist. A 'matched pair' means two listings whose own titles state the same brand and the same product description and which display the same stated MRP; we did not buy either and do not assert they are the same physical item. Brand medians are over the counts printed in the table, several of which are very small. Prices, MRPs and badges change continuously.

Zoutons may earn a commission when you buy through links on this page. Every selling price, stated MRP, discount badge, star average and rating count here was read on 29 September 2026 - the AJIO figures from ajio.com's own search results for clutch, bangles, anklet, earrings and necklace, and the Myntra figures from myntra.com's own jewellery-set, bangle-bracelet, anklets, earrings and necklaces-chains listing pages - both server-side, logged out, in India, deduped, with nothing purchased and no account signed in. 147 and 160 distinct listings were returned respectively, and every count, median, multiple and comparison on this page describes those listings on that date rather than either retailer's full catalogue. The two shelves are similar but not identical in composition, so shelf-level medians compare two comparable sets of products rather than a like-for-like basket; that is exactly why the matched-product and brand-level tables are on the page. A 'matched pair' means two listings whose own titles state the same brand and the same product description and which display the same stated MRP; on the GIVA pair the two titles differ slightly and we say so. We did not buy, handle, weigh, hallmark, assay or wear either item, and nothing here asserts that two listings sharing a title and an MRP are the same physical product, are made in the same place, or are of the same quality. Brand medians are computed over the listing counts printed beside them, several of which are one, two or three listings, and the two retailers stock different pieces from the same brand's range. An MRP is the figure a listing displays and we have not verified that any product here was ever sold at it, so every percentage and multiple is arithmetic over two published numbers rather than a measured saving. Stating a high MRP is lawful and commonplace across Indian retail, and nothing on this page is an allegation, finding or implication of mispricing, misleading advertising, price manipulation or any breach of the Legal Metrology Act, the Consumer Protection Act or any other law, rule or platform policy by Reliance Retail Limited, by Myntra Designs Private Limited, or by GIVA, Rubans, NVR, Saraf RS Jewellery, Yellow Chimes, Zeneme, Minutiae, Zeraki Jewels or any other brand or seller named or unnamed; no wrongdoing is alleged or implied. We report that AJIO published no rating on any listing in this read as an observation about what its listing pages display, and draw no conclusion about whether it collects feedback or about the quality of anything it sells. 'Gold-plated', '22K', '24K', '925 silver', 'sterling silver', 'silver-plated', 'cubic zirconia', 'stone-studded', 'handcrafted' and every other material or purity description is the listing's own printed text, reproduced as printed and not verified, tested, weighed, hallmarked or assayed by us; nothing here is a statement about metal content, plating thickness, stone authenticity, tarnish resistance, nickel content or suitability for sensitive skin. Product photographs are the listings' own images and may be styled or retouched. Prices change without notice and can differ at checkout after coupons, bank offers or delivery charges; the price shown at your checkout prevails over anything here.
