Perfume Price: Myntra vs AJIO vs Tata CLiQ vs Nykaa, September 2026

Six perfume bottles priced in this September 2026 read - the same Wild Stone Edge listing as it appears on both AJIO and Myntra, plus AND Love Muse, Jaguar, Ferragamo and Bella Vita CEO MAN - shown as they appear in the retailers' own listing photographs

Perfume is the hardest thing to buy online, because the one thing that matters cannot be shown on a tile. So what a retailer does publish — the price, the declared MRP, and whether anyone else's opinion is visible — carries more weight here than almost anywhere else. We read 189 perfume listings across Myntra, AJIO, Tata CLiQ and Nykaa on 26 September 2026.

The shelf-level gap is large: a median of Rs. 410 on AJIO against Rs. 1,640 on Tata CLiQ. But these are different catalogues and we are careful below not to read that as a price comparison. The part that does compare is smaller and much sharper: two bottles that appear on two shelves at once, one of them at exactly the same price, MRP and discount on both.

📅 Update log:
26 September 2026 — first published. 189 listings read across four retailers' own listing data on the same day, logged out, in India: Myntra 32, AJIO 68, Tata CLiQ 72, Nykaa 17. Brand overlap checked across all four shelves before any cross-retailer price claim was made; only the two exact product matches are used for direct price comparison.

The same category, four shelves, four different worlds

We read the perfume shelf on four Indian retailers on 26 September 2026 — 189 listings in total — and the shelves barely resemble one another. AJIO's median perfume sells at Rs. 410. Tata CLiQ's sells at Rs. 1,640, four times as much. Myntra sits at Rs. 568 and Nykaa at Rs. 1,424.

The discount badge runs the other way. AJIO shows a median 50 per cent off, Myntra 41, Tata CLiQ 20 and Nykaa 15. The cheapest shelf advertises the deepest discounts and the dearest shelves advertise the shallowest, which is the opposite of what a shopper sorting by discount would expect to find.

And then there is the evidence, which is where these four genuinely diverge. AJIO published no rating on any of its 68 listings. Nykaa published one on all 17, with a median of 1,330. Myntra published one on 28 of 32, with samples up to 69,155. Tata CLiQ published one on 58 of 72 — at a median of six ratings. Having a rating and having evidence are not the same thing.

Myntra32Rs. 259 to Rs. 1,899Rs. 56841%28 of 32; median 2,748, largest 69,155
Nykaa17Rs. 106 to Rs. 10,838Rs. 1,42415%17 of 17; median 1,330, largest 95,849
Tata CLiQ72Rs. 199 to Rs. 10,328Rs. 1,64020%58 of 72; median just 6, largest 261

Why we are not saying Tata CLiQ is four times dearer

Because it would not be true, and it is worth being exact about why. These four shelves are not stocking the same perfumes. Tata CLiQ's 72 listings are led by Jaguar, Rabanne, Salvatore Ferragamo, Guess, Police and Ajmal. AJIO's 68 are led by Beardo, Wild Stone, Bella Vita Organic and The Man Company.

Not one brand appeared on all four shelves. Tata CLiQ and Myntra shared none at all. So the Rs. 410-against-Rs. 1,640 gap is a statement about what each retailer chooses to stock, not about anyone overcharging for the same bottle. A designer eau de parfum and a Rs. 240 body mist are both returned by the word "perfume" and are not alternatives.

That is the honest reading of the shelf-level numbers, and it is also why the rest of this page narrows to the handful of cases where the same product is on two shelves at once. Four brands appear on both AJIO and Myntra, and two of them give an exact product match. Those two are worth more than all the medians above.

The same bottle, on two shelves, on the same day

Wild Stone Edge Eau De Parfum. AJIO sells it at Rs. 400 against a stated MRP of Rs. 799, a 50 per cent badge, and publishes no rating. Myntra sells it at Rs. 343 against the identical Rs. 799 MRP, a 57 per cent badge, and publishes 69,155 ratings. Same stated MRP, Rs. 57 cheaper on Myntra, and only one of the two tells you what anyone thought of it.

AND Love Muse Eau De Parfum, by Ajmal. This one is cleaner still. AJIO: Rs. 540, MRP Rs. 1,200, 55 per cent badge. Myntra: Rs. 540, MRP Rs. 1,200, 55 per cent badge. Identical on every number a tile displays. The single difference between the two listings is that Myntra publishes 7,721 ratings and AJIO publishes none.

That second case is as close to a controlled experiment as these shelves offer, and it answers the question this page is really about. When price, MRP and discount are held exactly equal, the thing that still differs between retailers is whether you are allowed to see what buyers reported. On this evidence that is not a pricing difference at all — it is a disclosure difference.

ProductOn AJIOOn MyntraWhat actually differs
Wild Stone Edge Eau De ParfumRs. 400 — MRP Rs. 799, 50% badge, no rating publishedRs. 343 — MRP Rs. 799, 57% badge, 69,155 ratingsSame stated MRP. Myntra is Rs. 57 cheaper and is the only one showing evidence.
AND (by Ajmal) Love Muse Eau De ParfumRs. 540 — MRP Rs. 1,200, 55% badge, no rating publishedRs. 540 — MRP Rs. 1,200, 55% badge, 7,721 ratingsIdentical price, MRP and badge. The only difference is that one publishes ratings.
Bella Vita Organic (brand level, 5 vs 3 listings)Median Rs. 202, median 66% badge, no ratingsMedian Rs. 499, median 41% badge, median 14,193 ratingsDifferent SKUs, so not a like-for-like — AJIO's are singles and minis, Myntra's are larger bottles and gift packs.
Beardo (brand level, 9 vs 1 listings)Median Rs. 329, median 61% badge, no ratingsRs. 864 for a two-bottle set, 64% badge, 8,245 ratingsNot comparable: AJIO lists singles from Rs. 119, Myntra lists the gift set.
₹ One product, two MRPs, one shelf. AJIO lists Wild Stone Edge Eau De Parfum twice on the same day: once at Rs. 400 against a stated Rs. 799 (a 50% badge) and once at Rs. 374 against a stated Rs. 499 (a 25% badge). Same perfume, two declared MRPs, 25 badge points apart — and the listing with the bigger badge is the more expensive one.

What each shelf is actually good for

AJIO is the cheap shelf and the blind one. Its median Rs. 410 is the lowest of the four and its listings start at Rs. 101, but zero of its 68 listings carried a star average or a rating count. That is AJIO's own behaviour on these responses, not a gap in our reading, and it matches what we found on its jacket shelf the same day. You are buying on the photograph and the brand name.

Myntra is the volume shelf. Median Rs. 568, 28 of 32 listings rated, and samples that run into the tens of thousands — 69,155 on a single Rs. 343 bottle. On the two products we could match exactly, it was cheaper or equal and it was the only shelf publishing evidence. Its own stated MRPs run up to 5.89 times the selling price, so read the badge there with the same suspicion as anywhere.

Nykaa is the specialist shelf. The thinnest badges of the four — a median 15 per cent, and every bottle over Rs. 5,000 discounted at exactly 15 per cent — but it publishes a rating on every single listing. Its median declared MRP is the tamest here too.

Tata CLiQ is the designer shelf, and the least-evidenced. Its median Rs. 1,640 buys Jaguar, Rabanne and Ferragamo rather than Wild Stone. But its median rating count is six, and the largest sample on its whole 72-listing shelf is 261. A shelf can publish a rating on 58 of 72 listings and still tell you almost nothing.

What this comparison cannot tell you

It cannot tell you which retailer is cheaper overall. We read one search per retailer on one day. The catalogues differ so fundamentally — zero brands on all four shelves — that the median prices describe stocking decisions, not competitiveness. Only the two exact product matches support a direct price comparison, and they point in one direction on a sample of two.

It cannot tell you anything about the fragrances. Nothing was bought, opened, sprayed or smelled. We make no claim about scent, longevity, sillage, concentration, batch, seller authorisation or authenticity on any shelf. 'Eau de parfum', 'eau de toilette', volumes in millilitres and every other description quoted is the listing's own printed text.

And a rating count is not a quality measure. It counts how many people chose to rate something. A shelf publishing none is not selling worse perfume than one publishing 69,155 — it is giving you less to read before you decide.

On the two bottles we could match, Myntra won on price and on disclosure

Where a like-for-like exists, buy it on Myntra. Wild Stone Edge was Rs. 343 there against Rs. 400 on AJIO, off the same Rs. 799 stated MRP, with 69,155 ratings against none. AND Love Muse was the same Rs. 540 on both, with 7,721 ratings on one side and nothing on the other. On a sample of two exact matches, Myntra was never dearer and was always the one showing evidence.

If you are shopping by budget, AJIO is genuinely the cheap shelf — a median Rs. 410 against Rs. 568, Rs. 1,424 and Rs. 1,640 — provided you accept that you will see no ratings at all and that its 50 per cent median badge is calculated off MRPs it declares itself, up to 4.35 times the selling price. For designer names, Tata CLiQ has the catalogue; just do not expect its ratings to help, at a median of six.

What we would not do is read the four medians as a price comparison, because these shelves do not stock the same things. We would not treat a 50 per cent badge on a shelf with no ratings as better value than a 15 per cent badge on one with 95,849. And on AJIO specifically, we would check whether the same perfume appears twice before buying — Wild Stone Edge was listed at both Rs. 400 and Rs. 374 there on the day we read it.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which site is cheapest for perfume in India?
On the shelves we read on 26 September 2026, AJIO had the lowest median price at Rs. 410, against Rs. 568 on Myntra, Rs. 1,424 on Nykaa and Rs. 1,640 on Tata CLiQ. But those medians describe different catalogues — no brand appeared on all four shelves — so they are not a like-for-like comparison. On the two products we could match exactly, Myntra was cheaper or equal: Wild Stone Edge at Rs. 343 against AJIO's Rs. 400, and AND Love Muse at the same Rs. 540 on both.
Why does AJIO not show ratings on perfume?
We do not know why, but we can confirm it is consistent. All 68 AJIO perfume listings in our read returned no star average and no rating count, and the same was true of all 151 listings on its jacket shelf that we read the same day. It is the platform's own behaviour on these search responses rather than a gap in our reading. The practical effect is that on AJIO you choose from price, photograph and brand name alone.
Is Wild Stone Edge cheaper on Myntra or AJIO?
In our 26 September 2026 read, Myntra, at Rs. 343 against AJIO's Rs. 400 — and both declared the same Rs. 799 MRP, so Myntra's badge read 57% against AJIO's 50%. Myntra also published 69,155 ratings on it where AJIO published none. Worth knowing: AJIO listed the same perfume twice that day, at Rs. 400 against a Rs. 799 MRP and at Rs. 374 against a Rs. 499 MRP. Prices change, so check both before buying.
Does a bigger discount badge mean a better perfume deal?
Not across these shelves. AJIO showed the deepest median badge, 50%, and the lowest prices; Nykaa showed the thinnest, 15%, and published a rating on every listing. The clearest illustration is on AJIO itself, where one Wild Stone listing wore a 50% badge at Rs. 400 and another wore 25% at Rs. 374 — the bigger badge on the more expensive listing, because the two declared different MRPs. The badge is arithmetic over a number the seller chose.
Which site has the most reviewed perfumes?
It depends what you mean. Nykaa published a rating on 17 of 17 listings, with a median of 1,330 — the most consistent coverage. Myntra had the largest individual samples, a median of 2,748 and a single bottle carrying 69,155. Tata CLiQ published a rating on 58 of its 72 listings but at a median of only six, with 261 the largest on the entire shelf. AJIO published none at all. Coverage and sample size are different things, and Tata CLiQ shows why that distinction matters.

Zoutons may earn a commission when you buy through links on this page. Every selling price, stated MRP, discount badge, star average and rating count here was read on 26 September 2026 from each retailer's own listing data, logged out, in India, with nothing purchased: 32 listings from myntra.com, 68 from ajio.com, 72 from tatacliq.com and 17 from nykaa.com, 189 in total. Every count, median, range and comparison covers that set of listings on that date rather than any retailer's full perfume catalogue, and a product sold on any of these sites that did not appear in these results does not appear here. The four shelves do not stock the same products — no brand appeared on all four — so the shelf-level median prices describe each retailer's stocking and assortment decisions on this date and are expressly NOT a claim that any retailer is cheaper, dearer or better value than another for the same goods. Only the two exact product matches identified in the text support a direct price comparison, and two matches on one day is a small sample from which no general conclusion about either retailer's pricing should be drawn. Prices on all four sites change continuously and independently, and may already have changed. An MRP is the figure the listing displays and we have not verified that any product sold at it, so every percentage on this page is arithmetic over two numbers the seller chose rather than a measured saving; stating an MRP above the selling price is legal and commonplace across Indian retail, and where we note that one product carried two different declared MRPs on one shelf we report that as published and allege no wrongdoing. No wrongdoing by Myntra, AJIO, Tata CLiQ, Nykaa or by Wild Stone, AND, Ajmal, Bella Vita Organic, Beardo, The Man Company, Jaguar, Rabanne, Salvatore Ferragamo, Guess, Police or any other brand or seller named or unnamed is alleged or implied. Star averages and rating counts are as published on the date of reading; all 68 AJIO listings published none, which is that platform's own behaviour on these responses and may differ on individual product pages. A rating count measures how many people chose to rate a listing, not quality, authenticity, concentration or seller authorisation, and a shelf publishing no ratings is not thereby selling inferior goods. Product photographs are the retailers' own listing images, including their styling and props, which are the sellers' presentation and not an indication of what is supplied; some listings are gift sets or multi-bottle packs and the photograph may show the full set. 'Eau de parfum', 'eau de toilette', volumes in millilitres, and every other description quoted is the listing's own printed text, reproduced as printed and not verified. Nothing on this page was bought, opened, sprayed, worn or smelled, and no claim about fragrance, scent profile, longevity, sillage, concentration, batch, authenticity or suitability is made or implied. Prices change without notice and can differ at checkout after coupons, bank offers or delivery charges; the price shown at your checkout prevails over anything here.
