The stated MRP on Myntra's kids aisle is a tier, not a price. Twenty-three picks from 127 listings read on August 10.
We read 127 Myntra kidswear listings on August 10, 2026 and seated 23. The stated MRP here is a tier rather than a fact: twelve rows claim exactly Rs. 799, and under that one number the real price runs from Rs. 243 to Rs. 799 - badges of 70 per cent down to nothing. Thirteen more claim Rs. 1,499, from a Rs. 349 cotton tee up to an H&M sweatshirt charging the claim exactly. Four different POSHIKHA dresses all sell at Rs. 998. The brands that hold price are the ones with shops.
Every price below was pulled from Myntra on August 10, 2026 and checked against the MRP on the listing. Stack them with the live codes on our Myntra coupons page, which the deals desk re-verifies daily.

First: ignore the strike-through and compare rupees, because on this aisle one stated number covers a 3.3-fold spread in price. Second: read the rating count before the average - a 5.0 from six people is noise, while 3,232 votes on a Rs. 455 sweatshirt set is the strongest evidence on the page. Third: buy the forgiving cut, since children outgrow clothes long before they wear them out; dungarees, fit-and-flare dresses, regular-fit denim and cuffed stretch joggers all absorb a size error that slim fits punish. Fourth: treat a brand with shops as a price you can trust rather than a deal you are missing - the same pattern this series found across Myntra's jeans and trousers aisle. Fifth: check the exchange window before ordering, because sizing varies most between sellers with no ratings, exactly as it did on the dresses and kurtas wall.

On this aisle it is a tier rather than a fact about a garment. Twelve of the 127 rows we read claim exactly Rs. 799 and thirteen claim exactly Rs. 1,499. Under the Rs. 799 claim the real price runs from Rs. 243 to Rs. 799 - a 3.3-fold spread, with badges from 70 per cent to zero. Under Rs. 1,499 it runs Rs. 349 to Rs. 1,499. Four POSHIKHA dresses that are visibly different garments all sell at Rs. 998 on a stated Rs. 2,999. Once you have seen that, the percentage stops being information.
Eighty-one of the 127 rows carry a rating and 46 carry none at all. Within the rated rows the samples are wildly uneven: 3,232 votes on a KEESOR sweatshirt set, 1,176 on a RAMIAAZ dungaree set, and then a Babypattu dress showing a perfect 5.0 from six people and an M&S T-shirt showing 4.9 from fourteen. We attach a rating pill only where at least a hundred votes exist, and we say plainly on the card when a headline average is resting on a handful of them.
All three H&M rows in the read sit at zero per cent off. Pantaloons Junior's four rows have a median badge of twelve per cent, and Marks & Spencer's five run 20 to 50 with a median of 25. Those are brands with stores in Indian cities and a shelf price they have to answer for. The deepest badges we found - 89 and 88 per cent on two HELLCAT rows, 83, 81 and 81 - all belong to sellers with no shop anywhere and, in most cases, no rating history either.
Kidswear is the one aisle where the garment is outgrown before it wears out, so the fit tolerance matters more than the fabric price. Dungarees, fit-and-flare dresses, regular-fit denim, cuffed joggers with stretch and barrel legs all absorb a size error or a growth spurt; slim-fit jeans and close-cut bodices do not. Where a listing names a fibre or a construction - pure cotton, ripstop, chikankari, stretch - we have quoted it, because on rows with no ratings that is the only evidence there is.
Because the stated MRP works as a price tier rather than as a record of what a garment once sold for. In our August 10, 2026 read of 127 Myntra kidswear listings, twelve separate rows claimed exactly Rs. 799 and thirteen claimed exactly Rs. 1,499. Under the Rs. 799 claim the actual selling prices ran from Rs. 243 to Rs. 799, and under Rs. 1,499 from Rs. 349 to Rs. 1,499. Four different POSHIKHA dresses all sold at Rs. 998 against a stated Rs. 2,999. The claim tells you which pricing band a seller has chosen, not what the garment is.
The arithmetic is real; the number it is calculated against is the seller's own. The deepest badges in our read - 83 per cent on a Rs. 428 KALINI maxi claiming Rs. 2,499, and 81 per cent on both a Rs. 370 RAMIAAZ dungaree set and a Rs. 574 Sangria kurta - all belonged to sellers with no physical shops. Two HELLCAT rows we did not seat showed 88 and 89 per cent. The prices themselves are often perfectly fair for what you get. Judge the garment at the price you will pay and treat the strike-through as marketing.
Five of the 23. The KEESOR sweatshirt and pant set at Rs. 455 carries 3,232 ratings at 4.0 - the largest sample in the entire read. The RAMIAAZ dungaree set at Rs. 370 has 1,176 at 4.3, the Sangria kurta at Rs. 574 has 929 at 4.4, the Pantaloons Junior jeans at Rs. 719 have 301 at 4.5, and the Sangria maxi at Rs. 918 has 263 at 4.2. We deliberately did not attach a rating pill to the Babypattu dress showing 5.0 from six votes or the M&S T-shirt showing 4.9 from fourteen, because those averages cannot carry weight.
Because it sells the same clothes in its own stores and prices to match them. All three H&M rows in our read showed zero per cent off, including the boys' colourblocked sweatshirt on this page at Rs. 1,499 against a stated Rs. 1,499. The same pattern holds for the other brands here with physical retail: Pantaloons Junior's four rows had a median badge of twelve per cent, including a girls' skirt at Rs. 799 with nothing off, and Marks & Spencer's five ran 20 to 50 per cent with a median of 25. A brand with shops has a shelf price to defend.
The forgiving shapes, and the ones with real ratings behind them. Dungarees, fit-and-flare dresses, regular-fit denim, cuffed joggers with stretch and barrel legs all tolerate a half-size error or a growth spurt; slim-fit jeans and close-cut bodices do not. On this page that points to the RAMIAAZ dungaree set at Rs. 370 and the KEESOR two-piece at Rs. 455, both of which also carry over a thousand ratings. If you want one garment to last two seasons, the Marks & Spencer ripstop barrel jeans at Rs. 1,499 are woven so a tear stops rather than runs.
