Six kurtas and kurta sets from Myntra's ethnic-wear listings, arranged as a colour-block grid, on this page about Myntra kurta prices in September 2026

Myntra's kurta pages held 131 distinct listings on 1 September 2026, from Rs. 364 to Rs. 1,992 — and exactly one of them was at its MRP.

The other 130 average 70 per cent off. A discount that universal is not an event, and counting the stated MRPs shows why: Rs. 2,199 is the reference price on 13 different listings. The rupee price is the number to read.

📅 Update log:
1 Sep 2026 — first published. Every price, stated MRP, discount percentage, rating and rating count on this page was read from Myntra's own window.__myx listing data on myntra.com/men-kurtas, /women-kurtas, /kurta-sets and /men-kurta-sets on 1 September 2026, first page of each, with no filters, no sort applied and no account signed in. The 131-listing total is after de-duplication across those four pages. The medians, the MRP frequency counts and the under-Rs. 1,000 and under-Rs. 500 shares are our own arithmetic over that data and are described as such. We re-read this shelf and log what changes.

One listing out of 131 is at full price

We pulled Myntra's kurta listings on 1 September 2026 — the men's kurta, women's kurta, kurta-set and men's kurta-set pages, first page of each, no filters and no sort. That is 131 distinct listings priced from Rs. 364 to Rs. 1,992.

Exactly one of them sits at its MRP, a children's kurta set at Rs. 1,399. The other 130 carry a discount, and the median across the whole shelf is 70 per cent off. Thirty-eight listings are 75 per cent off or more.

When almost every item on a page is 70 per cent off, the percentage has stopped describing an event. It is describing how the shelf is priced. The number worth reading is the rupee price — and 96 of the 131 listings are under Rs. 1,000.

Women's kurtas3472%Rs. 546Rs. 364 – Rs. 796
Men's kurtas3470%Rs. 743Rs. 463 – Rs. 1,017

Men's kurta sets2969%Rs. 1,011Rs. 747 – Rs. 1,885
💡 Read the rupee figure, not the percentage. On this shelf the percentages cluster between 62 and 84 per cent regardless of what the garment is, so they do not separate a Rs. 400 kurta from a Rs. 1,900 one. The price does.

Thirteen listings share one MRP, and it is Rs. 2,199

The clearest thing in this data is not the discount. It is what happens when you count the MRPs. Across 131 listings there are 102 distinct selling prices but only 49 distinct MRPs — and the top five MRPs alone cover 48 listings.

Rs. 2,199 is the stated MRP on 13 separate listings from different sellers. Rs. 2,499 appears on 11, Rs. 1,999 on nine, Rs. 2,999 on eight. Those are round numbers chosen off a shortlist, sitting next to selling prices computed to the rupee: Rs. 364, Rs. 383, Rs. 401, Rs. 432, Rs. 476.

A reference price that repeats across a dozen unrelated garments is not telling you what any of them previously sold for. We report the MRPs because Myntra publishes them, and we are saying plainly that we cannot verify any kurta on this page was ever sold at the figure the discount is calculated from.

Rs. 1,4997Rs. 393 – Rs. 484
Rs. 3,9996Rs. 639 – Rs. 1,699
The deepest discounts sit on the highest MRPs. The two listings on this shelf with a Rs. 9,999 stated MRP are both 80 per cent off, and both sell for around Rs. 1,990. The listings with a Rs. 999 MRP are 62 per cent off and sell for Rs. 383. The percentage is a function of the reference price chosen, not of how cheap the garment is.

Twenty-one listings are under Rs. 500

The bottom of this shelf is genuinely low in rupees, which is the part that does not depend on believing an MRP. Twenty-one listings sell under Rs. 500, and they are not all unknown sellers — the anayna printed kurta at Rs. 476 carries 36,309 ratings.

Rating count is the one field on this shelf that separates listings usefully. Fifty-two of the 131 have 1,000 ratings or more; 33 have none at all. A kurta at Rs. 400 with 2,866 ratings and one at Rs. 400 with zero are different propositions at the same price and the same headline discount.

The listings below are the sub-Rs. 500 end with their ratings attached. We have not handled or worn any of them, so what follows is the listing data, not a fabric assessment.

The Rs. 500 to Rs. 800 band is where the reviewed listings are

Most of the heavily-rated kurtas on this shelf sit between Rs. 500 and Rs. 800. That band holds the anayna listing with 43,823 ratings, Keitra's cotton kurta set with 17,098, Rimeline at 15,830, Jompers at 13,301 and Sangria at 11,957.

The discounts here are the same 59 to 84 per cent as everywhere else, which is the point: a listing with 43,823 ratings and a listing with 231 are showing you the same percentage. Nothing in the discount tells the two apart.

For men's kurtas specifically, HERE&NOW, Anouk and Jompers account for most of the reviewed listings in this band, at Rs. 667 to Rs. 786. Our Myntra under Rs. 500 page covers the cheaper end of the site across every category.

Why we will not call a 70 per cent discount a saving

A discount percentage on Myntra is calculated against an MRP supplied by the seller, and on a marketplace shelf like this one the same party sets the MRP and the selling price. The clustering makes that visible: 13 different listings from different sellers all state Rs. 2,199, while their selling prices range from Rs. 435 to Rs. 704. We can verify what Myntra charges today, because we read it off the listing. We cannot verify that any of those garments was previously sold at Rs. 2,199, so we report the 70 or 80 per cent as Myntra's own published figure rather than as money you are keeping. The rupee price is the number that survives the objection: Rs. 476 is Rs. 476 whether the reference price is Rs. 1,998 or Rs. 999. This is not a claim that any seller is doing anything improper — it is a statement about what listing data can and cannot support.

Kurta sets: the same pattern at roughly double the price

A kurta set adds a pyjama, salwar or palazzo, and on this shelf that roughly doubles the median price — Rs. 546 for a women's kurta on its own, Rs. 1,046 across the kurta-set page. The discount does not change: 71 per cent median on sets against 72 per cent on single kurtas.

The dearest listing we found on any of the four pages is a Rs. 1,992 silk-georgette set with a Rs. 9,999 stated MRP and no ratings at all. It is a useful illustration of the whole page: the largest headline discount on the shelf belongs to the listing with the least evidence behind it.

If you are buying for a festival rather than for everyday wear, the sets with four- and five-figure rating counts — FLOWERVELLY at 14,819, KALINI at 8,636, Jompers at 9,579 — are the ones with a track record on the platform, and they run Rs. 854 to Rs. 972. Our lehenga and dupatta price page covers the occasion-wear aisle above this one.

The short version

One of Myntra's 131 kurta listings is at MRP on 1 September 2026. The other 130 average 70 per cent off, which makes the discount a property of the shelf rather than an event worth timing.

Read two numbers instead: the rupee price (96 of 131 listings are under Rs. 1,000, 21 under Rs. 500) and the rating count (52 listings have 1,000+, and 33 have none). The stated MRPs repeat across unrelated listings — Rs. 2,199 appears 13 times — so they are reference prices, not prices anything was sold at.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much do kurtas cost on Myntra?
On the four kurta listing pages we read on 1 September 2026, the 131 listings ran from Rs. 364 to Rs. 1,992, with a median selling price of Rs. 786. Women's kurtas were cheapest (Rs. 546 median), men's kurtas next (Rs. 743), and kurta sets roughly double a single kurta at about Rs. 1,020 median. Ninety-six of the 131 listings were under Rs. 1,000 and 21 were under Rs. 500. Prices change without notice, so check the listing before you buy.
Why is every kurta on Myntra 70% off?
Because the discount is calculated against an MRP the seller supplies, and on this shelf those MRPs repeat. Across 131 listings we counted only 49 distinct MRPs against 102 distinct selling prices, with Rs. 2,199 stated on 13 separate listings from different sellers. A reference price that recurs across a dozen unrelated garments is not evidence of what any of them previously sold for, which is why we report the percentage as Myntra's published figure rather than as a saving.
What is the cheapest kurta on Myntra?
The cheapest listing on the pages we read on 1 September 2026 was a SURHI printed cotton kurta at Rs. 364 (82% off a stated Rs. 1,999 MRP, 4.0 from 2,866 ratings). Twenty-one listings in total sold under Rs. 500, including an anayna printed kurta at Rs. 476 with 36,309 ratings. The cheapest men's listing was a Jompers printed kurta at Rs. 463.
Are Myntra kurta sets worth it compared with buying a kurta alone?
On price, a set costs roughly double a single kurta on this shelf — Rs. 1,046 median on the kurta-set page against Rs. 546 for women's kurtas — and it adds a matching pyjama, salwar or palazzo. The discount percentage is effectively identical (71% median on sets, 72% on single kurtas), so it does not help you choose. We have not worn or handled any of these garments, so this is a comparison of listing prices and what each listing says it includes, not of fabric or fit.
How do I tell a good kurta listing from a bad one on Myntra?
Not by the discount, which is 62 to 84 per cent almost everywhere on this shelf. The field that varies usefully is the rating count: 52 of the 131 listings carry 1,000 ratings or more, and 33 carry none at all, and both kinds show the same headline percentage. The dearest listing we found, a Rs. 1,992 set at 80% off a Rs. 9,999 stated MRP, had no ratings; a Rs. 476 kurta at 76% off had 36,309. Read the rupee price and the rating count together.
Prices & codes last verified: 1 September 2026
Every price, stated MRP, discount percentage, rating and rating count on this page was read from Myntra's own listing data (the window.__myx payload) on myntra.com/men-kurtas, myntra.com/women-kurtas, myntra.com/kurta-sets and myntra.com/men-kurta-sets on 1 September 2026, first page of each, with no filters applied, no sort order changed and no account signed in, and is reported as published. The 131-listing shelf is those four pages de-duplicated; it is not Myntra's full ethnic-wear catalogue, and a different page, a signed-in session or a different day may show different listings and different prices. Medians, the distinct-MRP and distinct-price counts, the frequency with which a given MRP recurs, and the under-Rs. 1,000 and under-Rs. 500 shares are our own arithmetic over that data rather than figures Myntra states. A discount percentage on Myntra is calculated against an MRP supplied by the seller; on a marketplace shelf the same party sets both numbers, and we have not verified that any garment on this page was previously sold at its stated MRP, so those percentages are reported as Myntra's own published figures and not as a saving. Nothing here alleges wrongdoing by any seller or by Myntra. We have not bought, worn, washed or handled any garment on this page, so nothing here reports fabric, fit, stitching, colour accuracy, shrinkage, sizing consistency, delivery or returns, and no ranking between sellers or brands is made or implied. Rating counts are Myntra's own and we have not audited them. Prices exclude coupons, bank offers and any discount applied at checkout, which are priced separately. Myntra changes listings and prices without notice, so this is one day's read; the price at your checkout is the one that applies. Zoutons may earn a commission if you buy through links on this page; it does not change what you pay, and nothing here was reviewed or approved by Myntra or any brand named.
