Myntra Kurtas Under Rs. 1000: 96 of 131 Listings, September 2026

We pulled Myntra's kurta listings on 1 September 2026 — the men's kurta, women's kurta, kurta-set and men's kurta-set pages, first page of each, no filters and no sort. That is 131 distinct listings priced from Rs. 364 to Rs. 1,992.

Exactly one of them sits at its MRP, a children's kurta set at Rs. 1,399. The other 130 carry a discount, and the median across the whole shelf is 70 per cent off. Thirty-eight listings are 75 per cent off or more.

When almost every item on a page is 70 per cent off, the percentage has stopped describing an event. It is describing how the shelf is priced. The number worth reading is the rupee price — and 96 of the 131 listings are under Rs. 1,000.

The clearest thing in this data is not the discount. It is what happens when you count the MRPs. Across 131 listings there are 102 distinct selling prices but only 49 distinct MRPs — and the top five MRPs alone cover 48 listings.

Rs. 2,199 is the stated MRP on 13 separate listings from different sellers. Rs. 2,499 appears on 11, Rs. 1,999 on nine, Rs. 2,999 on eight. Those are round numbers chosen off a shortlist, sitting next to selling prices computed to the rupee: Rs. 364, Rs. 383, Rs. 401, Rs. 432, Rs. 476.

A reference price that repeats across a dozen unrelated garments is not telling you what any of them previously sold for. We report the MRPs because Myntra publishes them, and we are saying plainly that we cannot verify any kurta on this page was ever sold at the figure the discount is calculated from.

The bottom of this shelf is genuinely low in rupees, which is the part that does not depend on believing an MRP. Twenty-one listings sell under Rs. 500, and they are not all unknown sellers — the anayna printed kurta at Rs. 476 carries 36,309 ratings.

Rating count is the one field on this shelf that separates listings usefully. Fifty-two of the 131 have 1,000 ratings or more; 33 have none at all. A kurta at Rs. 400 with 2,866 ratings and one at Rs. 400 with zero are different propositions at the same price and the same headline discount.

The listings below are the sub-Rs. 500 end with their ratings attached. We have not handled or worn any of them, so what follows is the listing data, not a fabric assessment.

Most of the heavily-rated kurtas on this shelf sit between Rs. 500 and Rs. 800. That band holds the anayna listing with 43,823 ratings, Keitra's cotton kurta set with 17,098, Rimeline at 15,830, Jompers at 13,301 and Sangria at 11,957.

The discounts here are the same 59 to 84 per cent as everywhere else, which is the point: a listing with 43,823 ratings and a listing with 231 are showing you the same percentage. Nothing in the discount tells the two apart.

For men's kurtas specifically, HERE&NOW, Anouk and Jompers account for most of the reviewed listings in this band, at Rs. 667 to Rs. 786. Our Myntra under Rs. 500 page covers the cheaper end of the site across every category.

A kurta set adds a pyjama, salwar or palazzo, and on this shelf that roughly doubles the median price — Rs. 546 for a women's kurta on its own, Rs. 1,046 across the kurta-set page. The discount does not change: 71 per cent median on sets against 72 per cent on single kurtas.

The dearest listing we found on any of the four pages is a Rs. 1,992 silk-georgette set with a Rs. 9,999 stated MRP and no ratings at all. It is a useful illustration of the whole page: the largest headline discount on the shelf belongs to the listing with the least evidence behind it.
