Two sentences in SuperBottoms' privacy policy are worth reading before you make an account. The first: "Generally, you may not opt-out of service related communications, which are not promotional in nature. If you do not wish to receive them, you have the option to terminate your account." The second introduces a defined term — Select Partners — with whom the brand "might share and cross-reference information, including personal information about you that will enable such persons or entities to contact you".

No Select Partner is named. The collection list also takes in the names, addresses and phone numbers of people you have sent gifts to, which on a baby-products brand is a lot of people. Below: all of that in full — and the two things this policy does better than any of the four read against it, including the clearest payment commitment of the month. Published text only; nothing here is legal advice.

The unsubscribe link does not cover everything

Most privacy policies describe one kind of marketing email and one way out of it. SuperBottoms' describes two kinds, and only one of them has a door. Verbatim:

"We also send service related announcements on occasions such as when we need to temporarily suspend our site for maintenance. We also will send you promotional emails on occasion. Generally, you may not opt-out of service related communications, which are not promotional in nature. If you do not wish to receive them, you have the option to terminate your account. However, you can opt-out of direct promotional communications from the Website by following the unsubscribe instructions within each communication."

Promotional email: unsubscribe link, as normal. Service email: the stated alternative is deleting your account.

This is standard and defensible. Order confirmations, dispatch notices, password resets and maintenance warnings are things a customer with an open account generally needs, and no sensible retailer lets you switch them off while still shipping to you. It is worth flagging only because the categories are drawn by the sender, not the recipient: the same paragraph that defines service email as non-promotional also lists, as a reason to use your data, "to inform you of offers and discounts" and "to facilitate your transactions with our third party marketing partners". Where an announcement sits on that line is a judgment the policy leaves with SuperBottoms.

Select Partners: a named category with no names in it

This is the clause worth knowing before you create an account. Under third-party sharing, after a paragraph about jointly operated stores, the policy introduces a defined term:

"Other Third Parties/Select Partners: From time to time, we might establish a business relationship with other persons or entities who we believe are trustworthy and whom we have asked to confirm that their privacy policies are consistent with ours. These are known as our Select Partners. In such cases, we might share and cross-reference information, including personal information about you that will enable such persons or entities to contact you regarding products and services that may be of interest to you."

And then it goes further: "We may also combine your personal information with publicly available information and information we receive from or cross-reference with our Select Partners and others. We use that combined information to enhance and personalize your shopping experience with us, to communicate with you about our products and services that may be of interest to you, and for further promotional purposes."

Three things are being described. Personal information shared so that another company can contact you. Your data cross-referenced against publicly available information. And the combined result used "for further promotional purposes". The safeguard is that partners are "asked to confirm that their privacy policies are consistent with ours" — asked to confirm, which is a lighter obligation than audited or contractually bound.

No Select Partner is named anywhere in the document, and no number of them is given. Of the five D2C privacy policies read on 10 October, this is the broadest stated sharing permission — Minimalist's carve-out covers non-identifying data only, and Dot & Key's is limited to group companies and legal compulsion.

The data you hand over about other people

The collection paragraph includes a category most shoppers never think about. Alongside your own name, address and phone numbers, SuperBottoms says you may supply "people to whom purchases have been shipped, including addresses and phone number; names and e-mail addresses of friends and possible referrals and other people."

On a cloth-diaper and baby-products brand that is a gifting pattern. Baby showers, first-birthday presents, a cousin's new arrival. The recipient's name, address and phone number enter the database because you typed them into a delivery field, and the policy is clear that this is collected and stored. They never agreed to anything.

The referral service is explicit about it: "If you choose to use our referral service to tell a friend or someone else about our site, we will ask you for your friend's or that person's name and email address. We will automatically send your friend or that person an email inviting him or her to visit the site."

And then it does the right thing, which most policies do not: "Your friend may contact us at resolutions@superbottoms.com to request that we remove this information from our database." A named deletion route for a person who was never a customer is genuinely good drafting, and it is worth saying so.

The payment clause is the best one we have read this month

After three sections of caveats, this deserves to be the headline of its own: "Please note for online payments www.superbottoms.com does not ask for or capture any information pertaining to your credit/debit cards, payment wallets, UPI or information about your internet banking account. All online payment transactions are done at the payment gateway site. The payment gateways that we have tied up with are affiliated with established banking institutions and follow guidelines that are published and monitored by the Reserve Bank of India."

That is a specific, checkable, negative commitment — naming cards, wallets, UPI and net banking individually, stating that none of it is captured, and saying where the transaction actually happens instead. Most policies say something vague about encryption. Dot & Key's registration list, by contrast, names "credit card or debit card details" among the things users provide.

The grievance route is the second-best thing here. A named individual — Vishakha Nikam — with a direct phone number, 7977852646, and separately a support line on +91 9702314940, Monday to Saturday from 9.30 AM to 6 PM IST. A person's name on a grievance contact is rarer than it should be; of the five privacy policies read on 10 October, only this one gives one.

The security paragraph is also unusually honest: "While no security system is absolutely foolproof, we are constantly reviewing, refining and upgrading our security technology." Admitting the first half is better than implying the opposite.

What is missing

No retention period. The document says nothing about how long any of it — your data, your purchase history, or the delivery addresses of people you sent presents to — is kept.

No deletion right for the account holder. There is a self-service route to "review, change or correct your personally identifying information at any time by accessing your account information", and there is an explicit removal route for a referred friend. There is no stated procedure for you to have your own record erased — and account termination appears in the document only as the way to stop service emails, not as a data-deletion mechanism.

No reference to the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and no Select Partner named. If either matters to you, resolutions@superbottoms.com and the grievance officer's number are the routes the document gives, and they are better routes than most.

Nothing on this page is legal advice, and nothing here says SuperBottoms has breached any law or mishandled anyone's data. This describes a published document as it stood on 10 October 2026.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I stop SuperBottoms emails?
It depends which kind. Promotional email has a normal unsubscribe — the policy says you can opt out "by following the unsubscribe instructions within each communication from that Website, or by emailing us at resolutions@superbottoms.com". Service email does not. The policy states: "Generally, you may not opt-out of service related communications, which are not promotional in nature. If you do not wish to receive them, you have the option to terminate your account." That is standard practice — order confirmations and maintenance notices are things an account holder generally needs — but it is worth knowing that closing the account is the stated alternative. For SMS, the policy adds that "Consent is not a condition of purchase. Text STOP to unsubscribe."
Who are SuperBottoms' Select Partners?
The policy does not say. It defines them as "other persons or entities who we believe are trustworthy and whom we have asked to confirm that their privacy policies are consistent with ours", and states that with them SuperBottoms "might share and cross-reference information, including personal information about you that will enable such persons or entities to contact you regarding products and services that may be of interest to you". It also says personal information may be combined with "publicly available information" and used "for further promotional purposes". No partner is named and no number is given. Of the five Indian D2C privacy policies read on 10 October 2026, this is the broadest stated sharing permission. Sharing data with marketing partners is an ordinary and lawful practice and nothing here alleges otherwise.
Does SuperBottoms store my card or UPI details?
Its privacy policy says no, and it is the most specific payment clause we read this month: "Please note for online payments www.superbottoms.com does not ask for or capture any information pertaining to your credit/debit cards, payment wallets, UPI or information about your internet banking account. All online payment transactions are done at the payment gateway site." It adds that the gateways are "affiliated with established banking institutions and follow guidelines that are published and monitored by the Reserve Bank of India." Naming cards, wallets, UPI and net banking individually and committing to capturing none of them is better than the generic encryption sentence most policies offer.
What happens to the address of someone I send a SuperBottoms gift to?
It is collected and stored. The policy's collection list includes "people to whom purchases have been shipped, including addresses and phone number; names and e-mail addresses of friends and possible referrals and other people." On a baby-products brand that is a common gifting situation, and the recipient has not agreed to anything. The policy does provide a route for them: for the referral service it states that "Your friend may contact us at resolutions@superbottoms.com to request that we remove this information from our database." A deletion route for a non-customer is good drafting and most policies do not offer one. No retention period is stated for any of this data.
Who is the SuperBottoms grievance officer?
The policy names Vishakha Nikam, with phone number 7977852646 and email resolutions@superbottoms.com. Separately it gives a support line on +91 9702314940, Monday to Saturday from 9.30 AM to 6 PM IST. The operating company is Navashya Consumer Products Pvt Ltd, registered at B, 1704, Rustomjee Azziano, Urbania, Majiwada, Thane West, Maharashtra 400601. Of the five D2C privacy policies read on 10 October 2026, this is the only one that names an individual rather than a team or an address — Beardo's page names no officer at all.

The observations that service-related communications cannot be opted out of without terminating an account, that a category called Select Partners may receive personal information, and that the collection list extends to gift recipients and referred friends, are descriptions of the published text only. They are not statements that SuperBottoms or Navashya Consumer Products Private Limited has shared, sold or misused any customer's personal data, has sent any unwanted communication, has refused any opt-out or deletion request, or has failed any legal obligation. Sending service communications to account holders, sharing customer data with marketing partners under consistency undertakings, combining customer data with publicly available information, and collecting delivery and referral details supplied by a customer are all ordinary and lawful commercial practices, and the policy itself provides a named removal route for a referred friend and a self-service correction route for account holders. Reporting that a published policy does not state a retention period, a deletion procedure for account holders, or the identity of any Select Partner is a description of what the document contains; it is not an allegation that no such practice, right or safeguard exists, that any statutory obligation has gone unmet, or that any consumer right has been denied, and no unfair trade practice, unfair contract term, dark pattern, misleading statement, deficiency in service or breach of any law, rule or guideline by Navashya Consumer Products Private Limited, SuperBottoms, any named officer or employee, or any payment gateway, advertiser or partner is alleged or implied. The naming of Vishakha Nikam reproduces the grievance-officer contact details the company itself publishes and is not a statement about that individual. Nor does anything here allege or imply anything about the practices of Beardo, Zed Lifestyle Private Limited, Minimalist, Uprising Science Private Limited, Dot & Key, Bare Wellness LLP, Neemans or any other brand whose documents are referred to only as published text. No product is assessed, tested, compared or recommended on this page, no claim about any product's materials, absorbency, safety or suitability for any child is made or endorsed, and no price, discount or offer is stated here. Product photographs are the brand's own listing images and may be styled or retouched; the products shown illustrate the kind of purchase this policy governs, are not offers, and their prices are not stated. Policies and prices change without notice; the policy and prices shown on SuperBottoms' own site prevail over anything here.
