Beardo Return Policy 2026: Why Cosmetics Cannot Be Returned

Beardo's refund page opens with a sentence worth reading before you order anything from it: "Products once delivered cannot be returned as cosmetic products are not re-usable due to hygiene reasons." That is the brand's own wording, read from beardo.in on 1 October 2026.

There is no change-of-mind return. If the beard oil arrives intact and you simply do not like the smell, the policy as published does not give you a way to send it back. This is normal for Indian direct-to-consumer cosmetics - Mamaearth, Minimalist and mCaffeine all restrict returns to defined fault cases too - but Beardo states it more bluntly than most.

What you do get is a 7-day fault window. In the policy's words, products "can be returned within 7 days from the date of delivery in case of damaged, incorrect or incomplete order is delivered", by writing to support@beardo.in. The page says the team requires photos of the invoice and of the product to process such a case, and that Beardo will not charge for replacements where the wrong, damaged or incomplete goods were sent.

Beardo sells more than grooming goods, and the page treats clothing differently. "We offer size exchanges only for the apparel category," it says, with the complaint raised within 7 days from the date of delivery.

The conditions are tight and the page lists them plainly: the exchange is allowed on the same product only; the product must be intact and unused; the exchange is allowed only once; and "Items can only be exchanged and not refunded." So an apparel size swap is a one-shot operation - if the second size is wrong too, the published policy does not offer a third attempt or a refund.

That last clause is the one people miss. On most fashion sites a size exchange and a return are two routes to the same outcome; here they are not. Choosing to exchange is choosing to keep a Beardo product, and the money does not come back.

Where a refund is due - a cancelled order, or an accepted fault case - the page gives two numbers rather than one. "Your refund will be initiated within 48 working hours of receiving the refund request and authorization of the refund," and then "Your refund is estimated to be credited in the account, between 4-8 days after initiating the refund."

Add them together and the realistic outside figure is a little over a week from the moment Beardo authorises the refund - not from the moment you ask for one. The page is explicit that the second leg depends on banks, payment gateways and couriers rather than on Beardo, which is a fair caveat and also why no brand can promise a credit date.

The money goes back the way it came. For cancelled orders and for accepted returns, the policy says the amount is "credited back into the same account (online banking, credit card, debit card) that was used to make the purchase". There is no mention on this page of store credit or a wallet as a substitute.
