A quarter of a million reviews is the most reassuring number on a Flipkart tile. On the cookware shelf, the same quarter of a million sits behind three different listings at three different prices.
We read 115 listings on 20 October 2026. Three Pigeon sets share one rating pool across a Rs. 360 price gap, three Prestige packs cost exactly the same money while printing three different discounts, and one IMPEX model number turns up twice, Rs. 153 apart.

📅 Update log:
20 October 2026 — First publication. Read the same day: flipkart.com's own search results for "cookware set", "serving bowl set" and "ceramic mug" via a window.__INITIAL_STATE__ parse, logged out, from India, with nothing purchased and Flipkart not contacted; 115 distinct listings captured, 36 cookware sets, 39 serving bowl sets and 40 ceramic mugs. Recorded from this read: three Pigeon "Favourite Gift" cookware listings all carrying the rating count 247,300, at Rs. 1,399 against a stated Rs. 3,495 (60%), Rs. 1,399 against Rs. 3,265 (57%) and Rs. 1,759 against Rs. 3,495 (50%); three Prestige listings all carrying the rating count 417,032 and all priced at Rs. 1,799, against stated MRPs of Rs. 3,510, Rs. 2,995 and Rs. 2,995 for badges of 49%, 40% and 40%, two of them named "Omega Festive Pack" and "Omega Festival Pack"; two IMPEX listings both carrying the model number NCB7108 in their titles and the rating count 4,076, at Rs. 2,179 and Rs. 2,332 against a shared stated MRP of Rs. 4,730; three further IMPEX sets sharing the rating count 17,646 at Rs. 989, Rs. 1,303 and Rs. 1,795; cookware set prices from Rs. 432 to Rs. 3,733 with a median of Rs. 1,399 and a median badge of 62%; serving bowl sets from Rs. 124 to Rs. 903, median Rs. 430, median badge 55%; ceramic mugs from Rs. 121 to Rs. 540, median Rs. 198.50, median badge 70%, across only 15 distinct stated MRPs with nine at Rs. 799 and eight at Rs. 499; 63 distinct stated MRPs across all 115 listings; and a median badge of 56% for the 23 listings from Prestige, Pigeon, IMPEX, BERGNER, MILTON, Lifelong, VINOD and Borosil against 65% for the other 92 labels. Nothing was cooked in, filled, heated or weighed. Coverage checked before writing: no Flipkart cookware, bowl or mug page existed; the Tata CLiQ and Amazon cookware pages and the Flipkart knife-set and dinner-set per-piece pages cover different shelves and are not revisited.
One review pool, three listings, Rs. 360 between them
We read Flipkart's own search results for cookware set, serving bowl set and ceramic mug on 20 October 2026 — 115 distinct listings, logged out, from India, nothing purchased.
Three Pigeon "Favourite Gift" cookware listings carry the identical rating count of 247,300. Two sell at Rs. 1,399 and one at Rs. 1,759. They print 60%, 57% and 50% off, against stated MRPs of Rs. 3,495, Rs. 3,265 and Rs. 3,495.
They are almost certainly variants of one product listed separately, which is ordinary retail and not something we are criticising. But it means the same quarter-million reviews back three tiles at three prices — and the dearest of them prints the smallest discount.
| Pigeon listing | Price | Stated MRP | Badge | Ratings |
|---|
| Pigeon Favourite Gift Non-Stick Cookware Set | Rs. 1,399 | Rs. 3,495 | 60% | 247,300 |
| Pigeon Favourite Gift Set Non-Stick Cookware Set | Rs. 1,399 | Rs. 3,265 | 57% | 247,300 |
| Pigeon Favourite Gift Non-Stick Cookware Set | Rs. 1,759 | Rs. 3,495 | 50% | 247,300 |
The shape of the three shelves
| Measure | Value | Note |
|---|
| Listings read | 115 | 36 cookware sets, 39 serving bowl sets, 40 ceramic mugs |
| Cookware set prices | Rs. 432 to Rs. 3,733 | Median Rs. 1,399 |
| Serving bowl set prices | Rs. 124 to Rs. 903 | Median Rs. 430 |
| Ceramic mug prices | Rs. 121 to Rs. 540 | Median Rs. 198.50 |
| Distinct stated MRPs across all 115 | 63 | — |
| Distinct stated MRPs on the mug shelf alone | 15 for 40 listings | Nine at Rs. 799, eight at Rs. 499 |
| Median badge, recognised cookware houses | 56% | 23 listings: Prestige, Pigeon, IMPEX, BERGNER, MILTON, Lifelong, VINOD, Borosil |
| Median badge, every other label | 65% | 92 listings, running as high as 88% |
Two cheap aisles and one mid-priced one. The median ceramic mug is Rs. 198.50 and the median serving bowl set Rs. 430; cookware sets sit an order of magnitude up at a Rs. 1,399 median.
Across all 115 listings there are only 63 distinct stated MRPs, and on the mug shelf the concentration is extreme: 40 listings share 15 stated MRPs, nine of them at Rs. 799 and eight at Rs. 499.
Three Prestige packs, one price, three badges
| Prestige listing | Price | Stated MRP | Badge | Ratings |
|---|
| Prestige Festival Pack - Build Your Kitchen | Rs. 1,799 | Rs. 3,510 | 49% | 417,032 |
| Prestige Omega Festive Pack | Rs. 1,799 | Rs. 2,995 | 40% | 417,032 |
| Prestige Omega Festival Pack | Rs. 1,799 | Rs. 2,995 | 40% | 417,032 |
Every one of these sells for exactly Rs. 1,799 and every one shares the rating count 417,032. What changes is the stated MRP — Rs. 3,510 on one, Rs. 2,995 on the other two — so the first prints 49% off and the others 40%, for the same money.
No stated MRP here is being called false and no wrongdoing is alleged; a manufacturer is entitled to set different list prices for different pack configurations. It is simply the cleanest proof on the page that a bigger badge is not a better price. Forty-nine per cent and forty per cent cost you the identical Rs. 1,799.
The same model number, at two prices
| IMPEX listing | Price | Stated MRP | Badge | Ratings |
|---|
| IMPEX FK Set Beige (B) festival gift set | Rs. 989 | Rs. 2,050 | 52% | 17,646 |
| IMPEX FKT Set Ivory (B) induction bottom | Rs. 1,303 | Rs. 3,090 | 58% | 17,646 |
| IMPEX 6 Pcs granite FKTM festival gift set | Rs. 1,795 | Rs. 5,060 | 65% | 17,646 |
| IMPEX NCB7108 granite coated, beige | Rs. 2,179 | Rs. 4,730 | 54% | 4,076 |
| IMPEX NCB7108 non-stick coated | Rs. 2,332 | Rs. 4,730 | 51% | 4,076 |
The last two rows carry the model number NCB7108 in their own titles, sit against the same stated MRP of Rs. 4,730, and share the rating count 4,076. One costs Rs. 2,179 and the other Rs. 2,332 — Rs. 153 apart, for what the listings themselves describe as the same model.
Three further IMPEX sets share the pool 17,646 at Rs. 989, Rs. 1,303 and Rs. 1,795. Where a model number is printed in the title, it is the single most useful thing on the tile — it is the only field on this shelf that lets you check whether two listings are actually the same thing before you compare their prices.
Where the known houses sit
| Listing | Price | Stated MRP | Badge | Ratings |
|---|
| VINOD DCC3W induction bottom set | Rs. 3,733 | Rs. 5,750 | 35% | 83 |
| Prestige Omega Festive Pack | Rs. 1,799 | Rs. 2,995 | 40% | 417,032 |
| Pigeon Duo Pack fry pan and tawa | Rs. 599 | Rs. 1,115 | 46% | 59,403 |
| Prestige Triply Splendid 3-piece | Rs. 2,299 | Rs. 4,900 | 53% | 1,406 |
| Pigeon Mio Gift Set | Rs. 1,179 | Rs. 2,695 | 56% | 57,536 |
| MILTON Pro Cook Kitchen Jewel Plus Granito | Rs. 1,885 | Rs. 5,156 | 63% | 15,636 |
| BERGNER Sherry Plus 5-layer 6-piece | Rs. 1,149 | Rs. 5,500 | 79% | 607 |
| Lifelong Triply kadhai, fry pan, saucepan | Rs. 1,399 | Rs. 6,999 | 80% | 18 |
| BOROSIL Larah 8-piece snack set | Rs. 717 | Rs. 825 | 13% | 8 |
The 23 listings from brands that also sell through physical shops have a median badge of 56%; the other 92 labels on these shelves have a median of 65%. Borosil's Larah snack set prints 13% and VINOD's triply set 35%, while anonymous mug and bowl listings reach 88%.
That is a pattern, not an accusation. A brand with a list price near its shelf price has less to discount from. It does mean that if you rank this page by discount you will systematically sort the established kitchen brands to the bottom — which is not the same as sorting by price.
The cheap end: what Rs. 200 and Rs. 430 actually buy
| Shelf | Listings | Price range | Median | Median badge | Distinct stated MRPs |
|---|
| Ceramic mugs | 40 | Rs. 121 to Rs. 540 | Rs. 198.50 | 70% | 15 |
| Serving bowl sets | 39 | Rs. 124 to Rs. 903 | Rs. 430 | 55% | 26 |
| Cookware sets | 36 | Rs. 432 to Rs. 3,733 | Rs. 1,399 | 62% | 31 |
The ceramic mug shelf is the most concentrated of the three. Forty listings, fifteen stated MRPs, a median selling price of Rs. 198.50 and a median badge of 70% — which is very largely the Rs. 799 and Rs. 499 stated prices being restated as percentages.
Serving bowl sets are the flattest: a 55% median badge, the lowest of the three, and the widest spread of stated MRPs relative to shelf size. Nothing on either shelf was handled, filled or weighed — capacities and piece counts above are the listings' own.
What this page does not tell you
This is a price read, not a product review. Nothing was cooked in, drunk from, heated, weighed or measured. "Triply", "Granite", "Non-Stick", "Induction Bottom", piece counts and capacities above are the listings' own printed descriptions, reproduced and not verified. We make no claim about coating durability or safety on any of these products.
Nor does it tell you today's price. Every figure here was returned by Flipkart on 20 October 2026. Check the live listing before buying, rank by the rupee figure, and where a rating count looks reassuringly large, check whether the identical number appears on a neighbouring tile.
Frequently Asked Questions
What does a non-stick cookware set cost on Flipkart?
About Rs. 1,400 for a mid-shelf set. Across the 36 cookware set listings we read on 20 October 2026 the median price was Rs. 1,399 and the range ran from Rs. 432 to Rs. 3,733. The recognised houses cluster where you would expect: Pigeon's gift sets at Rs. 1,179 to Rs. 1,759, IMPEX from Rs. 989 to Rs. 2,332, Prestige at Rs. 1,799 to Rs. 2,299, and a VINOD triply set at the top at Rs. 3,733. We did not cook in any of them — piece counts, "triply", "granite" and "induction bottom" are the listings' own descriptions, reproduced and not verified.
Why does the same Pigeon set show up at Rs. 1,399 and Rs. 1,759?
They are three separate listings that share one review pool. All three Pigeon "Favourite Gift" cookware listings carry the identical rating count of 247,300: one at Rs. 1,399 printing 60% off a stated Rs. 3,495, one at Rs. 1,399 printing 57% off a stated Rs. 3,265, and one at Rs. 1,759 printing 50% off a stated Rs. 3,495. These are in all likelihood variants of one product listed separately, which is ordinary marketplace practice and not something we are alleging anything about. The practical consequence is that the same product family can sit on your results page Rs. 360 apart, all three carrying the same reassuring quarter-million reviews. Open more than the first tile.
Three Prestige sets cost exactly Rs. 1,799 but show different discounts. Why?
Because the stated MRP differs, not the price. All three carry the rating count 417,032 and all three sell at Rs. 1,799 — but one is measured against a stated Rs. 3,510 and prints 49%, while the other two are measured against Rs. 2,995 and print 40%. Two of them are near-identically named, "Omega Festive Pack" and "Omega Festival Pack". Nothing here is false and no wrongdoing is alleged: a maximum retail price is a maximum a brand may set, and a manufacturer can set different list prices for different pack configurations. It is simply the clearest demonstration on this shelf that the badge measures the gap between two chosen numbers and not the value of what you are buying — 49% and 40% here cost you the identical Rs. 1,799.
Do the big kitchen brands discount less than the unknown ones?
On this read, yes, and consistently. The 23 listings from Prestige, Pigeon, IMPEX, BERGNER, MILTON, Lifelong, VINOD and Borosil had a median badge of 56%. The other 92 labels across the same three shelves ran to a median of 65%, with a maximum of 88%. The extremes make the point: a Borosil Larah snack set prints 13% off and a VINOD set prints 35%, while anonymous mug and bowl listings print into the eighties. This is not evidence that anyone is inflating anything. A brand that sells through physical shops tends to set a list price near the shelf price, so there is less distance to discount across. The useful reading is that a 13% badge and an 88% badge are two sellers' arithmetic on two different chosen numbers, and only the rupee figure is measured the same way everywhere.
What should I actually compare on this shelf?
Three things, in this order: the rupee price, the piece count, and the rating count — and check whether that rating count is repeated elsewhere on the page. On the shelves we read, four separate rating pools each covered multiple listings (247,300 on three Pigeon sets, 417,032 on three Prestige, 17,646 on three IMPEX and 4,076 on two more), so a large review number does not always belong to the exact configuration in front of you. The badge is the least useful column. On the mug shelf, 40 listings share just 15 distinct stated MRPs — nine at Rs. 799 and eight at Rs. 499 — so the percentages there are mostly restating two numbers. The median mug costs Rs. 198.50 whatever its tile says.

Zoutons earns affiliate commission on some links on this page. It costs you nothing and it does not decide what we write. Every price, stated MRP, discount badge, star average and rating count above was returned by flipkart.com's own search results on 20 October 2026, logged out, from India, with nothing purchased. This is a price read, not a product review. Nothing was cooked in, drunk from, heated, weighed or measured — "Triply", "Granite", "Non-Stick", "Induction Bottom", piece counts and capacities are the listings' own printed descriptions, reproduced here and not independently verified, and we make no claim about coating durability or safety on any product named. NO STATED MRP IS CALLED FALSE AND NO WRONGDOING BY ANY BRAND, SELLER OR BY FLIPKART IS ALLEGED. A maximum retail price is a maximum a brand is entitled to set, and a manufacturer may set different list prices for different pack configurations. Listings sharing a rating count are in all likelihood variants of one product sharing one review pool, which is ordinary marketplace practice — we report it because it affects how a shopper should read a review number, not because it is improper. What Flipkart publishes at the time you buy prevails over anything here.
