Fifty bedsheet listings read on one morning. The number the category is sold on moves in the opposite direction to the price, and the reason is worth knowing before you sort by it.
We read fifty bedsheet listings on myntra.com on 13 September 2026, and the number this whole category is sold on turns out to run backwards. Sheets at 250 thread count and above came in at a median of Rs. 450; sheets under 160 came in at Rs. 815. That is not a bargain hiding in plain sight. The high-count sheets are polycotton and microfibre with MRPs near Rs. 3,000 behind 87 percent badges; the low-count ones are pure cotton from names like DDecor and Raymond Home. Thread count is measuring different yarn.
Every price below was pulled from Myntra on September 13, 2026 and checked against the MRP on the listing. Stack them with the live codes on our Myntra coupons page, which the deals desk re-verifies daily.
Nine sheets at 300 TC or more — most of them polycotton or microfibre with MRPs near Rs. 3,000, plus the 400 TC cotton queen that carries the shallowest badge on the page.

Why it earned its spot The elasticated option at the cheap end, which the low-TC chapter does not offer at all.

Why it earned its spot Fewer stated threads than its sibling, half as much again in price.
Rs. 1,937 for a 200 TC king — Rs. 9.69 per stated thread, 7.5x the floor.
Why it earned its spot The dearest sheet in the read, at the shelf's worst count-per-rupee.
Six sheets under 150 TC, priced at a median of Rs. 815 against Rs. 450 for the high-count group — and carrying the two best star averages in the read.
Rs. 402 for a 144 TC pure cotton single set.
Why it earned its spot The lowest price here on a listing that says pure cotton.
Rs. 465 for a 120 TC pure cotton Jaipuri print.
Why it earned its spot The card that shows a low count is not automatically a cheap sheet.
Rs. 611 for a 144 TC cotton double — 4.5 stars from 520 ratings.
Why it earned its spot The highest star average on this page with a sample worth quoting.
Rs. 849 for a 144 TC cotton queen — 4,078 ratings.
Why it earned its spot Twice the price of a 300 TC sheet, with real evidence behind it.
Rs. 999 for a 140 TC set — and the same 1,649 ratings as its sibling.
Why it earned its spot A clean example of Myntra's pooled rating count.
Rs. 1,049 for a 144 TC queen — a 25% badge against a Rs. 1,399 MRP.
Why it earned its spot The other end of the badge story: a modest MRP and a modest discount.
First: read the fabric before the thread count. A 300 TC polycotton and a 144 TC pure cotton are not two grades of the same thing, and the count is only comparable inside one fibre — synthetic yarn is finer, so more of it fits. Second: treat the badge as a list price, not a sale. Thirteen listings in this read carry 84-87 percent against MRPs near Rs. 3,000 on sheets selling under Rs. 700, while one 300 TC sheet at Rs. 448 prints a Rs. 899 MRP and a 50 percent badge - the difference is the MRP, not the deal. Third: check the rating count for repeats, because Myntra pools reviews across colourways and two tiles showing exactly the same number are one sample, not two. Fourth: if you want a fitted sheet, the choice on this shelf is entirely in the high-count group — nothing in the pure-cotton 140-144 TC band was fitted at any price. For the rest of the bedroom and bath aisle, our Myntra towels and bath robes read priced the same shelf next door.

Thread count is the one number this category is sold on, so we pulled it out of every title and put it next to the price. Forty-six of the fifty bedsheet listings we read state one. The result is the opposite of what the category implies: the 22 sheets at 250 TC and above have a median price of Rs. 450, and the 15 sheets under 160 TC have a median price of Rs. 815. On this shelf, on this day, the higher count is 45 percent cheaper.
It is not a bargain hiding in plain sight, and treating it as one would be dishonest. The two groups are different fabrics. The 300 TC cluster is polycotton and microfibre from marketplace labels; the 144 TC group is pure cotton from established home-textile names. Thread count on a polyester blend is not the same measurement as thread count on cotton — synthetic yarn is finer, so more threads fit into the same square inch without the sheet being denser or better. Where a listing says pure cotton, we say so on the card; where it says polycotton or microfibre, we say that too.
Thirteen KLOTTHE listings on this read carry an 87 or 84 percent badge against MRPs of Rs. 2,829 to Rs. 3,999 on sheets selling for Rs. 389 to Rs. 688. DDecor carries 25 percent against a Rs. 1,399 MRP. Both are on the same shelf on the same morning, so the badge is telling you about the list price a brand chose to print, not about a discount event you are catching. A Rs. 3,000 MRP on a Rs. 400 bedsheet is a number set by the seller; we quote it because Myntra displays it, and we do not treat it as a saving.
Divide the selling price by the stated thread count and the spread becomes legible: Rs. 1.30 per thread for the KLOTTHE 300 TC at Rs. 389, against Rs. 9.69 for the Raymond Home 200 TC at Rs. 1,937 — 7.5 times. This is a comparison of what the listing claims, not of what the fabric is; it is useful precisely because thread count is what the category advertises, and it makes the claim answer for the price.
Myntra pools ratings across colourways of the same design, so the same sample reappears on different tiles. Two KLOTTHE sheets here display exactly 5,229 ratings; DDecor's purple and blue queen sheets both show 410; Home Ecstasy's red and pink both show 1,649. A large count on a bedsheet listing usually belongs to the design, not to the colour you are looking at, and several cards below carry samples in the single or double digits — where they do, we say so instead of printing a star average as though it settled anything.
Not automatically, and on this shelf it is not even dearer. In our read of fifty Myntra bedsheet listings on 13 September 2026, sheets at 250 TC and above had a median price of Rs. 450 and sheets under 160 TC a median of Rs. 815. The reason is fibre. Thread count measures threads per square inch, and polyester and microfibre yarns are finer than cotton ones, so a blend can reach 300 TC cheaply without being denser or softer than a 144 TC pure cotton. Compare thread counts only within the same fabric, and read the fabric line on the listing before the number in the title.
In this read the cheapest was Rs. 269 — an IWS 180 TC double set with two pillow covers, 4.1 stars from 161 ratings. The cheapest king set was Rs. 389, a KLOTTHE 300 TC polycotton with two pillow covers, and the cheapest listing describing itself as pure cotton was Rs. 402 for a 144 TC single. Note that the cheapest sheet here is not the highest thread count, which is worth remembering before treating the count-versus-price relationship on this page as a rule you can apply to any two tiles. Prices change daily and the live listing is authoritative.
Because the MRP behind the badge is high, not because the sale is deep. Thirteen listings from one brand in this read carried 84 to 87 percent against MRPs of Rs. 2,829 to Rs. 3,999 while selling at Rs. 389 to Rs. 688. On the same shelf, a 300 TC sheet at Rs. 448 printed a Rs. 899 MRP and therefore a 50 percent badge, and a 400 TC cotton queen at Rs. 1,299 printed Rs. 1,599 and a 19 percent badge. The percentage is a function of the list price a brand chose to print. Compare the selling prices to each other and ignore the badge entirely.
This page cannot answer that for your bed, but it can price the choice. On this read the polycotton and microfibre sheets clustered at Rs. 389 to Rs. 688 with stated counts of 300 TC and above, and the pure-cotton sheets at Rs. 402 to Rs. 1,937 with counts of 120 to 400 TC. The two best-rated sheets in the entire read were both cotton — 4.5 stars from 520 ratings at Rs. 611 and 4.6 from 410 at Rs. 1,049. Cotton breathes better in Indian summers and creases more; blends resist creasing and hold colour. We did not test any of that, and the listing text is the source for every fabric description here.
Read the count before the stars, and check it for repeats. Myntra pools ratings across the colourways of one design, so the same sample appears on several tiles — in this read two KLOTTHE sheets displayed exactly 5,229 ratings, DDecor's purple and blue queen sheets both showed 410, and Home Ecstasy's red and pink both showed 1,649. When two tiles show an identical figure to the digit they are one sample, not independent confirmation. Several listings on this shelf also carry genuinely thin samples — eight, fourteen, twenty-six ratings — and we flag those on the cards rather than quoting their averages as though they settled anything.
