Price divided by millilitres, times a hundred - that single number reorders this entire shelf, and it disagrees with the discount badge nearly everywhere. Second: read the whole title for a pack count. '250 ML - COMBO OF 5' is 1,250 ml and '[500ml x 3]' is 1,500 ml, and missing that makes a reasonable listing look like a terrible one. Third: check the same brand's other sizes before buying a small pouch or bottle - on this shelf one brand's 750 ml pouch is 8.39 times cheaper per millilitre than its own 180 ml, and another brand's two-bottle combo is three times cheaper than its single bottle. What we skipped — and why

What we skipped, and why: our three searches returned 197 listings carrying a price and a stated MRP, and only 20 are seated - because 126 of them state no volume anywhere in the title. 'Triangle Ant Rose Handwash Liquid Soap - Hand Wash Can' at Rs. 224 may be a bargain or may not; with no millilitre figure published there is no honest way to price it, so it is out, along with every other volume-less listing however well rated. We also dropped the Godrej Magic '9X4ml' sachet listing at Rs. 200 and the '10x9gm pouch' at Rs. 292: those state a weight or a sachet size but not what the made-up liquid comes to, and guessing a yield would have produced a number with no source. Multipacks whose titles state the unit but not the count - several 'Pack of 2' listings with no volume at all - are excluded for the same reason. Finally, we left out hand sanitiser and body wash listings that the same searches returned, because they are different products sold by the millilitre for different jobs.

A per-100 ml rate is worthless if the volume is guessed, so we seated only listings whose own title states the volume - or the pack count and the volume. 126 of the 197 listings in the pull state no volume at all in the title and are excluded entirely, however cheap they look.

The pack total, never the unit size

Several titles state a unit volume and bury the pack count: '250 ML - COMBO OF 5', '[500ml x 3]', '180 ml (Pack of 2)', '750 ml (Pack of 3)'. Every rate on this page is calculated over the pack total, and each card states how the listing expressed it. Read against the unit alone, the Malibu combo would look like Rs. 108 per 100 ml instead of Rs. 21.60.

Concentrates counted at their claimed yield, and flagged
