A hundred and five listings read in the middle of sale season, and the two things a shopper leans on — the discount and the reviews — turn out to live on opposite sides of the shelf.
We read Myntra's home fragrance, diffuser and aroma oil pages on 9 October 2026: 105 unique listings, Rs. 189 to Rs. 5,289, median Rs. 480. Then we crossed two columns. Thirty-six listings carry no discount at all, and only 28 publish any rating — median eleven raters, best-case 85. Put those together and the aisle splits in two: of the 30 tiles badged 55% or deeper, exactly two have been rated by anyone. The brands that never go on sale are holding almost all the customer evidence there is.
Every price below was pulled from Myntra on October 9, 2026 and checked against the MRP on the listing. Stack them with the live codes on our Myntra coupons page, which the deals desk re-verifies daily.
Six listings from Rs. 189 to Rs. 500, including four of the 36 tiles badged 0% — the Iris, Nyassa and Fabindia block that holds most of the few ratings this shelf has.

Why it earned its spot A hundred millilitres for the price of a 10 ml gift bottle.

Why it earned its spot Here the badge is on the pot, not the oil.
A Soul & Scents 50 ml white tea reed diffuser with five reeds at Rs. 398.
Why it earned its spot Vessel, reeds and oil together, with eight people rating it.
A Fabindia four-piece Niryasaha vapouriser oil set at Rs. 490.
Why it earned its spot A fourth Fabindia listing, a fourth 0% badge.
An Iris 60 ml lemongrass reed diffuser with oil at Rs. 600.
Why it earned its spot Eighty-five raters is the ceiling of customer evidence here.
A Home Centre 250 ml Verdant ocean mist reed diffuser at Rs. 1,049.
Why it earned its spot Rs. 4.20 a millilitre with the vessel included, and no rating.
Four listings from Rs. 690 to Rs. 5,289 where the deepest badge seated here sits on an unrated ceramic vessel and the dearest thing on the shelf carries no discount at all.
A POOKIEMOON electric ceramic aroma diffuser with two 10 ml oils at Rs. 690.
Why it earned its spot A deep badge on a bundle whose oil volume is 20 ml.
A The urban home brown ceramic aroma oil diffuser at Rs. 993.

An Isak pack of two waterless diffuser machines with tuberose oil at Rs. 5,289.
Why it earned its spot Twenty-eight times the cheapest listing, at full list price, unrated.
Four checks. First, do not read the badge as evidence. Thirty listings here are badged 55% or deeper and only two of them have been rated by anybody, while the 36 undiscounted tiles hold 13 of the 28 ratings on the shelf; sorting by discount sorts away from the few customers who have said anything. Second, multiply out the word 'each'. A five-piece set at '10 ml each' is 50 ml, so Rs. 348 is Rs. 6.96 a millilitre and not Rs. 34.80 — reading the first number in the title overstates the rate fivefold, and this is the single most common way to get a gift-set price wrong. Third, work out whether you are buying oil or buying the vessel. Fifty-six of the 105 listings print no volume at all because they are ceramic burners, electric diffusers and plug-in units; where oil is comparable, bulk is dramatically cheaper — one brand's 720 ml multipack works out at Rs. 0.84 a millilitre against Rs. 7.96 for its own 50 ml reed set. Fourth, price the refill before the set. An Iris 100 ml refill is Rs. 500, so any complete set below that is selling you less oil than one top-up. This is a price page: we did not buy, open, light, plug in or smell anything, and no fragrance, purity, 'essential oil', 'natural' or therapeutic claim reproduced here is tested or endorsed. Essential oils can irritate skin and are hazardous to some pets — nothing here is safety guidance.

Each selling price, stated MRP, discount badge, star average and rating count here came from the window.__myx data Myntra's own listing pages served for the paths 'home-fragrance', 'diffuser' and 'aroma-oil' on 9 October 2026, logged out, in India, with nothing purchased. 105 unique listings came back and 20 are seated. Nothing is taken from another marketplace.
We counted, over all 105 listings, how many publish a rating and how many are badged 55% or deeper. 28 publish a rating; 30 are badged 55%+; the overlap is two listings. Separately, 36 listings are badged 0% and 13 of the 28 rated listings sit in that block. Those are counts over the whole read, not over the 20 seated, and either number can be checked by re-running the same three paths.
A listing reading '5 Pieces ... 10 ml Each' holds 50 ml, not 10 ml, and taking the first number in the title would overstate its price per millilitre fivefold. Every per-millilitre figure on this page uses the total the listing describes. Volumes are the sellers' own printed figures and we did not measure or decant anything.
Half of this shelf is ceramic burners, electric diffusers, vapourisers, plug-in refill units and potpourri, where most of the money is the hardware. Dividing those prices by the 10 ml of oil in the box would produce a rate that compares a machine with a liquid, so eight of the twenty cards here carry no millilitre figure at all and say why. 49 of the 105 listings state a volume; 56 do not.
The median rating count among the 28 listings that publish one is eleven people, and the largest pool on the entire shelf is 85. No card on this page carries a rating pill at that scale; where a rating exists the spec strip prints the count beside it so the reader can weigh it, and where none exists it says so rather than substituting a score of our own. Nothing here was bought, opened, lit, plugged in or smelt.
In this read of 105 home fragrance listings on 9 October 2026, prices ran from Rs. 189 to Rs. 5,289 with a median of Rs. 480. Complete reed sets seated here cost Rs. 398 for 50 ml, Rs. 600 for 60 ml, Rs. 1,049 for 250 ml and Rs. 1,199 for 70 ml — so the dearest set is not the dearest per millilitre, and the 250 ml Home Centre bottle at Rs. 4.20 a millilitre is the best rate of the four. A 100 ml refill on its own is Rs. 500. Those figures describe these listings on that date rather than Myntra's full catalogue, and listing pages change continuously.
Because several whole brands on this shelf simply do not discount. Thirty-six of the 105 listings in this read are badged 0%, and 24 of those belong to five labels whose every listing is undiscounted: Iris (nine listings), Nyassa (four), Fabindia (four), essancia (four) and Isak (three). Whether and when to discount is an ordinary commercial decision and nothing here suggests otherwise. The practical point is that waiting for these particular brands to go on sale, during a month when most of Indian retail is on sale, did not work — and that the undiscounted block holds 13 of the 28 ratings that exist on this shelf.
A badge is arithmetic over a selling price and a stated MRP the seller chose, and we have not verified that any item here ever sold at its MRP. What this read can add is a cross-check: of the 30 listings badged 55% or deeper, only two publish any customer rating at all. The deepest badge seated on this page is 67%, on a Rs. 993 ceramic vessel stated at Rs. 2,999 with nobody rating it, while the best-rated product on the whole shelf carries no discount. Setting a list price and choosing a discount are ordinary and lawful commercial decisions and no wrongdoing is alleged of anyone. Treat the percentage as information about the seller's pricing, not about the product.
Divide by total millilitres, and multiply out the set first. A five-piece set described as '10 ml each' contains 50 ml, so Rs. 348 is Rs. 6.96 a millilitre and not Rs. 34.80 — reading the first number in the title is the easiest way to get this wrong. On the oils and refills in this read the rate runs from Rs. 0.84 a millilitre on a 720 ml multipack to Rs. 33.29 on a 24 ml branded refill. Do not compare a ceramic or electric diffuser this way: most of that price is the device, which is why eight of the twenty cards on this page carry no per-millilitre figure at all. Volumes are the sellers' own printed figures and we measured nothing.
We can only report what the listings showed. Of the 105 unique listings in this read, 77 published no rating at all, and among the 28 that did the median was eleven ratings and the largest pool was 85. For scale, a mid-priced kitchen appliance on an Indian marketplace routinely carries several thousand. Home fragrance is a low-repeat, gift-heavy category and thin review pools are ordinary in it; nothing here suggests anything improper. The consequence for a shopper is practical: with no reviews and a badge that carries no information, the price, the stated volume and the brand are what you are actually choosing on. Nothing on this page was opened or smelt, and no scent is recommended.
