Perfora's refund policy opens with "your smile and satisfaction is our highest priority!" and answers the real question eight sentences later: "Please note that we do not provide cash refunds for Cash on Delivery or Prepaid orders. In case of a return, for Prepaid and COD orders, you will receive a Perfora Gift Card sent to your registered email on the day of order pickup." Store credit, issued fast, with lifetime validity — but not your money back.
We read perforacare.com/pages/refund-policy and its terms-of-service page first-party on 10 October 2026, logged out, in India, with nothing purchased. Below: the five conditions a product must satisfy at once to be refundable at all, the sale-period clause that switches returns off across the catalogue, the warranty route that leads to a replacement and never to money, the three-day claim window with its mandatory unboxing video — and the two Perfora pages that answer the refund question differently. Published policy only; nothing here is legal or dental advice.
Verbatim, from Perfora's own refund policy

"we do not provide cash refunds for Cash on Delivery or Prepaid orders ... you will receive a Perfora Gift Card"
📅 Update log:
10 October 2026 — First publication. Perfora's refund policy read in full from perforacare.com/pages/refund-policy and compared against the Perfora Refund Policy section of perforacare.com/policies/terms-of-service, both fetched the same morning: the satisfaction preamble and feedback invitation, the refund-eligibility sentence covering full-priced, non-personalised, unopened and unused electronic products within 15 days of purchase, the write-in and return-to-address instruction, the pickup postage deduction, the personalised-products exclusion, the consumables exclusion covering toothpastes and mouthwashes on hygiene grounds, the Perfora Sale exclusion covering returns, refunds and exchanges across electronics and consumables, the no-cash-refunds sentence for Cash on Delivery and Prepaid orders, the Perfora Gift Card issue-on-pickup clause and its lifetime validity, the marketplace-purchase exclusion, the Gurugram returns address, the tampered-or-damaged parcel instruction, the warranty scope for electric products covering delivery damage and internal defects, the no-refund-on-warranty-claim sentence and its replacement-only outcome, the procedure and SOP requirement, the three-day reporting deadline for missing, damaged or not-received orders, the mandatory unboxing video or images requirement, and the published email, telephone and WhatsApp contact routes; and from the terms-of-service page, the Website Owner identification of Chipper Consumer Private Limited, the 18-years-old order warranty, the offer-and-dispatch-confirmation contract clause, the capitalised indemnity, the section 9 refund wording and its Bank NEFT/RTGS sentence, the disclaimer of liability, the severability clause and the offers terms covering one-per-customer, no-clubbing and account termination for promotion misuse. Both pages verified 10 October 2026.
The refund is a gift card, and the policy says so twice
Perfora's refund policy opens warmly — "At Perfora, your smile and satisfaction is our highest priority!" — and then, eight sentences later, answers the only question that matters:
"Please note that we do not provide cash refunds for Cash on Delivery or Prepaid orders. In case of a return, for Prepaid and COD orders, you will receive a Perfora Gift Card sent to your registered email on the day of order pickup. This gift card will be issued as a code with lifetime validity."
Both payment routes are named, so paying by card in advance does not get your money back in cash either. What comes back is store credit. Two things are genuinely in the customer's favour and are worth stating: the gift card is issued on the day of pickup, not after the warehouse inspects the parcel, which is faster than most D2C refund timelines; and it carries "lifetime validity", so unlike a lot of store credit it does not expire. Issuing refunds as store credit is lawful and common in D2C beauty and personal care, and no wrongdoing is alleged. The practical point is simply that a Perfora refund keeps your money inside Perfora — which is a different proposition on a Rs. 2,000 electric toothbrush than on a Rs. 199 toothpaste.
Five conditions have to be true at once
The sentence that defines what is refundable is a single sentence with five qualifiers stacked inside it: "We will gladly issue a refund for any full priced (non-discounted) electronic product which is non-personalized and which is unopened, unused and returned within 15 days from the date of purchase."
Unpacked, the item must be electronic, full priced, non-personalised, unopened, unused and back within 15 days. Two of those do most of the work. "Full priced (non-discounted)" rules out anything bought on an offer — and this is a brand whose site banners run free toothpaste above Rs. 1,099 and bundle codes most of the time. "Unopened, unused" means the test is whether you kept the box sealed, not whether the brush suited you.
The exclusions that follow close the rest. "Our consumable products like toothpastes and mouthwashes once delivered cannot be repackaged or resold due to personal hygiene challenges. Please note that we cannot offer exchanges or refunds on these products." That is a sound hygiene reason and it is the standard position across oral and personal care. "Please note, personalized products are non-refundable." And purchases made elsewhere are out: "We do not provide refunds for products purchased from marketplaces or any other websites." If Perfora arranges collection, "postage will be charged at actual rates and deducted from the refund amount". Returns go to 1st Floor, MPD Tower, Golf Course Rd, Sector 43, Gurugram, Haryana 122002. The delivery side of the same ledger is in our reading of Perfora's shipping charges.
Buy it in a sale and the policy switches off
One sentence removes an entire category of orders, and it is the one to read before a festive checkout: "Please note that all orders placed during the Perfora Sale are not eligible for returns, refunds, or exchanges. This policy applies to all products, including electronics and consumable items."
Not just refunds — returns and exchanges too, across the whole catalogue. Read beside the main refund sentence, which already requires an item to be "full priced (non-discounted)", the two provisions point the same way: the discount and the return right do not come together. Sale-period exclusions are a common and lawful commercial choice, they are disclosed here rather than hidden, and nothing on this page suggests otherwise. The reason to flag it is timing: October and November are when most people buy an electric toothbrush as a gift.
Warranty is the other route people assume leads to money, and it does not. "We will only offer a warranty on our electric products for damages that occur during delivery, or for any internal defects or product failures. Please note that no refunds will be processed if a warranty claim is accepted. A successful warranty claim makes you eligible for a replacement only." So a faulty brush is replaced, not refunded — which is how most electronics warranties work and is a legitimate structure, but it means there is no path from "it broke" to "give me my money back" in this document.

Two Perfora pages, two different answers
Perfora publishes a dedicated refund policy and a terms-of-service page, and the terms-of-service page contains its own section headed Perfora Refund Policy. The two do not say the same thing.
The terms-of-service version reads: "Products returned by you because of a defect are only eligible for replacement. Any products returned by you due to dissatisfaction will be refunded in full, excluding a standard delivery cost incurred by you in returning the item to us. All refunds will be initiated through a Bank NEFT/RTGS transfer."
Set that beside the refund policy page, which says "we do not provide cash refunds for Cash on Delivery or Prepaid orders" and that a return produces a Perfora Gift Card. One document says money moves to your bank by NEFT or RTGS; the other says it does not move at all and you get a code instead. The terms version is also more generous on what qualifies — it refunds dissatisfaction in full, where the policy page requires an unopened, unused, full-priced electronic item inside 15 days.
Nothing here suggests either page is wrong or that any customer has been misled. Policy pages drift out of step on fast-moving D2C sites, a specific policy would ordinarily be read as governing over a general terms clause, and the dedicated refund page is plainly the more detailed and more current of the two. The practical advice follows from that, not from any criticism: read perforacare.com/pages/refund-policy, not the refund paragraph inside the terms, and if you are told something different, ask for it in writing before you return anything. Perfora publishes three contact routes — hello@perforacare.com, 011 4309 2293 and WhatsApp on +91 99992 89288 — which makes getting that in writing straightforward.
The three-day clock, and the video you have to have filmed
The hardest deadline on the page is not the fifteen-day refund window. It is this: "Claims for missing, damaged products, or orders marked as delivered but not received must be reported within 3 days of the date of delivery." Three days covers a short holiday, a parcel left with a neighbour, or a gift opened on the occasion rather than on arrival.
And the evidence requirement is absolute: "An unboxing video or images are mandatory to process claims for shortages or damage during transit." Mandatory means the claim cannot be processed without it, so the video has to exist before you know you need it. Unboxing-video requirements have become standard across Indian D2C and they exist for a real reason — transit shortage claims are otherwise impossible to verify — but they put the burden on the customer at the one moment nobody is thinking about proof. If you are ordering an electric toothbrush or a flosser, film the box being opened. It costs twenty seconds.
One more line sits alongside them: "Please do not accept any tampered or damaged orders, as Perfora is not responsible for damage after delivery." That is the same instruction several retailers now give — inspect at the door, refuse what looks wrong — and it is the cheapest protection available, because a refused parcel never becomes a claim. On the ordering side, the terms require you to be "at least 18 years old" and confirm that an order email "does not mean that your Order has been accepted"; the contract forms only on dispatch confirmation.
How to use this page
Five practical points, none of them legal advice. One: expect a gift card, not a bank credit. The refund policy says cash refunds are not provided on prepaid or COD orders, and the code has lifetime validity. Two: if you think you might return it, do not open it — the refund test is unopened and unused, inside 15 days of purchase. Three: a sale order has no return right at all under this policy, across electronics and consumables alike, so weigh that against the discount. Four: film the unboxing; a video or images are mandatory for shortage and transit-damage claims, and those claims die after three days. Five: when the terms page and the refund page disagree, the refund page is the detailed one — and get any different answer in writing on hello@perforacare.com. Everything above is Perfora's published text as it stood on 10 October 2026. This page describes published policies and expresses no view on whether any clause is valid or enforceable; nothing here is legal or dental advice.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Perfora give cash refunds?
Not under its published refund policy. "Please note that we do not provide cash refunds for Cash on Delivery or Prepaid orders. In case of a return, for Prepaid and COD orders, you will receive a Perfora Gift Card sent to your registered email on the day of order pickup. This gift card will be issued as a code with lifetime validity." Both payment routes are named, so a card payment does not change the outcome. Two parts of that are better than the category norm and worth crediting: the credit is issued on the day of pickup rather than after inspection, and it does not expire. Issuing refunds as store credit is lawful and common in D2C personal care and no wrongdoing is alleged. Note that Perfora's separate terms-of-service page describes a bank NEFT/RTGS refund instead.
What can you actually get refunded at Perfora?
One narrow category. "We will gladly issue a refund for any full priced (non-discounted) electronic product which is non-personalized and which is unopened, unused and returned within 15 days from the date of purchase." Every condition in that sentence has to hold at once — electronic, full priced, non-personalised, unopened, unused, inside 15 days. Outside it: toothpastes and mouthwashes, which "once delivered cannot be repackaged or resold due to personal hygiene challenges" and get no exchanges or refunds; personalised products; anything bought in a Perfora Sale; and anything bought through a marketplace rather than perforacare.com. If Perfora arranges the pickup, postage is "charged at actual rates and deducted from the refund amount".
Can you return a Perfora product bought during a sale?
No, under the policy as published. "Please note that all orders placed during the Perfora Sale are not eligible for returns, refunds, or exchanges. This policy applies to all products, including electronics and consumable items." All three remedies are removed, and the sentence covers the whole catalogue rather than a list of excluded items. It also sits consistently with the main refund sentence, which requires an item to be "full priced (non-discounted)". Excluding sale purchases from returns is a common and lawful commercial choice and it is disclosed on the policy page rather than hidden; the practical consequence is that a festive discount and a return right are not available on the same order.
What happens if a Perfora electric toothbrush stops working?
A warranty claim replaces it; it does not refund it. "We will only offer a warranty on our electric products for damages that occur during delivery, or for any internal defects or product failures. Please note that no refunds will be processed if a warranty claim is accepted. A successful warranty claim makes you eligible for a replacement only." The policy adds that there is "a set procedure and SOP that must be followed". Replacement-only warranties are the norm for small electronics and this one covers both transit damage and internal failure, which is a reasonable scope. Separately, if the problem is that something is missing or arrived broken, that is a different claim with a three-day deadline and a mandatory unboxing video.
Why do Perfora's terms and its refund policy say different things?
They do differ on the published text, and the difference matters. The terms-of-service page states that "Any products returned by you due to dissatisfaction will be refunded in full, excluding a standard delivery cost" and that "All refunds will be initiated through a Bank NEFT/RTGS transfer". The dedicated refund policy page states the opposite on both counts: no cash refunds on prepaid or COD orders, a Perfora Gift Card instead, and refunds limited to unopened, unused, full-priced electronics within 15 days. Nothing here suggests either page is wrong or that anyone has been misled — policy pages commonly drift out of step, and a specific policy would ordinarily govern over a general terms clause. Published policies can be amended at any time, so the documents described here may already differ from those that apply to you; the policies shown on perforacare.com prevail over anything on this page, and the rules that apply to a specific order are those published when that order is placed. This page describes published policies. It does not assess, and expresses no view on, whether any clause quoted above is valid, binding, fair or enforceable, whether a store-credit refund, a sale-period exclusion, a replacement-only warranty, a three-day claim window or an unboxing-video requirement would be upheld, or whether the documents comply with the Consumer Protection Act, the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, the Guidelines for Prevention and Regulation of Dark Patterns, the Legal Metrology Act or any rules made under them, all of which are matters for a court, a consumer forum or a regulator and not for a shopping page; nothing on this page is legal, contractual, regulatory, medical or dental advice or a substitute for advice from a qualified professional. Reporting that published policies contain a store-credit refund clause, an eligibility clause, a consumables exclusion, a sale-period exclusion, a warranty clause, a claim deadline, an evidence requirement or differing wording between two documents is a description of published text; issuing refunds as store credit, excluding opened consumables on hygiene grounds, excluding discounted or sale-period orders from returns, offering replacement rather than refund under a warranty, setting a reporting deadline for transit claims and requiring unboxing evidence are ordinary and lawful commercial practices, and no statement here alleges an unfair trade practice, an unfair contract term, a dark pattern, misleading advertising, deficiency in service, denial of any consumer right or any breach of law, rule or guideline by Chipper Consumer Private Limited, by Perfora or by any associated entity, officer or employee, and no wrongdoing is alleged or implied. In particular, nothing on this page asserts or implies that Perfora has refused any valid refund, return, exchange or warranty claim, has failed to issue any gift card, has misled any customer about how a refund would be paid, or has applied any policy inconsistently; the difference in wording between the two published pages is reported as published text, is of a kind that commonly arises when policy pages are updated at different times, and the page's stated protections — the gift card issued on the day of pickup, its lifetime validity, the published returns address and the three published contact routes — are recorded above. No product is assessed, tested, compared or recommended on this page, no claim about whitening, plaque removal, cavity prevention, gum health or any other oral-health outcome is made or endorsed, and no price, discount or offer is stated here; oral-health decisions should be taken with a qualified dentist, and directions and warnings printed on the products themselves prevail over anything summarised here. Product photographs are the brand's own images and may be styled or retouched; the products shown illustrate the category these policies concern, are not offers, and their prices are not stated. Prices and policies change without notice; the terms and prices shown at your own checkout prevail over anything here.
