Perfora's shipping page prices the same parcel three different ways, and the variable is not distance or weight but how you pay. Free on prepaid orders above Rs. 499. Rs. 50 on prepaid orders below it. Rs. 65 on all cash-on-delivery orders - that last line carrying no threshold at all, so the free-delivery promise never reaches it.
We read perfora.in's shipping policy first-party on 4 October 2026. Below: what cash on delivery actually costs once you account for the charge you would have paid anyway, the unboxing-video requirement that cannot be satisfied after the fact, and what the policy charges for changing your mind once the parcel is moving.
Verbatim, from the shipping policy
Read 4 October 2026 on perfora.in/policies/shipping-policy
"An unboxing video is mandatory to claim shortage or damage in transit."
📅 Update log:
4 October 2026 — First publication. Perfora's shipping policy read in full from perfora.in: the Rs. 499 free-delivery threshold for prepaid orders, the Rs. 50 below-threshold charge, the Rs. 65 cash-on-delivery charge and its lack of a threshold, the 48-hour dispatch figure, the serviceable-pin-code statement, the same-day unboxing-video requirement for shortage and damage claims, the to-and-fro shipping charge on post-dispatch cancellations and rejected COD orders, and the alternative-person delivery clause. Terms verified 4 October 2026.
Three shipping prices, and the payment method decides two of them
Perfora's shipping page sets out its charges in three consecutive lines, and they are worth reading together rather than one at a time:
"Enjoy free delivery on all prepaid orders above Rs. 499."
"Prepaid orders below Rs. 499 will be charged Rs. 50 for shipping."
"All COD orders will be charged Rs. 65 for shipping."
Note the word that is missing from the third line: any threshold at all. The free-delivery promise is explicitly limited to prepaid orders, and the cash-on-delivery charge is stated as applying to all such orders. On the page as published, a Rs. 2,000 basket paid at the door still carries Rs. 65, while a Rs. 500 basket paid online carries nothing.
That makes the real cost of paying cash on delivery here Rs. 65 on a large order and Rs. 15 on a small one - because below Rs. 499 you would have paid Rs. 50 anyway. It is one of the clearer illustrations in this layer that a cash-on-delivery fee is a charge on the payment method rather than on the logistics.
For scale: this site has read Rs. 70 at Minimalist with no threshold, Rs. 70 below Rs. 299 at Nykaa, a never-zero COD charge at SuperBottoms, and cash on delivery at no additional charge to many locations at Plum. Rs. 65 puts Perfora in the middle of that range, and its Rs. 499 free-shipping bar is lower than Dot & Key's Rs. 999.
| Order type | What Perfora charges |
|---|
| Prepaid, above Rs. 499 | free |
| Prepaid, below Rs. 499 | Rs. 50 |
| Cash on delivery, any value | Rs. 65 |
| Dispatch | generally within 48 hours of receipt |
| Shortage or damage claim | same day, unboxing video mandatory |
| Cancelled after dispatch / COD rejected | to-and-fro shipping at actuals |
| Prepaid cancellation after dispatch | not eligible, as published |
| Delivery taken by another person | "Perfora shall not be responsible" |
If your basket is between Rs. 450 and Rs. 499, adding one small item can be cheaper than not. Crossing Rs. 499 on a prepaid order removes a Rs. 50 charge, so the last few rupees of basket can pay for themselves.
No unboxing video, no shortage claim
This is the clause to read before the courier arrives, because it cannot be satisfied retrospectively. The page states it twice:
"All claims for shortages or damages must be reported to customer service on the day of delivery with an unboxing video" and, separately, "An unboxing video is mandatory to claim shortage or damage in transit."
Two conditions, both hard: same-day reporting, and video evidence of the unboxing itself. A photograph of a broken item taken after the box is open does not meet the stated requirement, and nor does a report the following morning. This site has read an unboxing-video requirement at Libas too, where the window is 24 working hours; Perfora's is the same day, which is tighter.
It is an onerous requirement, and it is also entirely avoidable: record the box being opened on a phone, keep the file until you have checked the contents, delete it when you are satisfied. The cost of not doing it is the claim.
Cancelling after dispatch costs the journey both ways
Perfora's cancellation terms separate three situations and price two of them. In the brand's own words: "For orders that are cancelled after dispatch and while in transit, or rejected (in case of COD orders) shipping costs will be charged for both to-and-fro at actuals. For pre-paid orders, cancellations post dispatch will not be eligible" for the treatment that applies before dispatch.
So refusing a cash-on-delivery parcel at the door is not free under this policy. The page describes the outbound and return legs being charged at actuals - which, given the Rs. 65 cash-on-delivery fee already applied, makes a refused COD order the most expensive way to change your mind.
There is a related line about who may accept the parcel: "Perfora shall not be responsible for delivery taken by an alternative person." If a neighbour or a security desk signs for it, the policy as published places that outside the brand's responsibility - which interacts awkwardly with the same-day unboxing-video requirement, since you cannot film an unboxing of a parcel someone else has already taken in.
Perfora's other stated delivery terms
- Coverage: "As per the Indian government guidelines, we ship to all serviceable pin codes in India."
- Dispatch: "we generally dispatch all our orders within 48 hours of receipt."
- Couriers: "All purchases are shipped from our warehouse by reputed courier agencies."
- Support hours: the brand states it is reachable Monday to Saturday, 10 AM to 6 PM.
- Prepaid cancellations after dispatch: stated as not eligible.
- Claims route: customer service, by email, on the day of delivery.
Forty-eight hours to dispatch is a promise about the brand's warehouse, not about your doorstep. The page does not publish a delivery-days range the way Minimalist's does, so the only figure you have is the dispatch one - transit time is whatever the courier takes to your pin code, and the page does not estimate it.
Support hours matter here more than usual. With a same-day claim window and support available Monday to Saturday, 10 AM to 6 PM, a Saturday evening delivery leaves very little room, and the page does not describe what happens to a claim that falls outside those hours.
What this means before you order
Pay online and cross Rs. 499. That is the only combination on this page that ships free; everything else costs Rs. 50 or Rs. 65.
Film the unboxing. A shortage or damage claim is stated as requiring an unboxing video and same-day reporting, and neither can be reconstructed afterwards.
Do not refuse a cash-on-delivery parcel casually. The policy charges to-and-fro shipping at actuals on rejected COD orders and on cancellations after dispatch.
We did not place, pay for, receive, refuse or cancel an order, and no figure here was tested at a checkout. Every charge and window above is Perfora's own published text on 4 October 2026; policies change without notice, and the page at the time of your order prevails over anything here.
Frequently Asked Questions
What are Perfora's delivery charges?
Three figures, set by order value and payment method. In the brand's own words: "Enjoy free delivery on all prepaid orders above Rs. 499", "Prepaid orders below Rs. 499 will be charged Rs. 50 for shipping", and "All COD orders will be charged Rs. 65 for shipping." The cash-on-delivery charge is stated without a threshold, so a large basket paid at the door still carries it. Read 4 October 2026; check the live page and your own cart.
Does Perfora charge for cash on delivery?
Yes - Rs. 65 on all cash-on-delivery orders, as published, with no stated order value at which it stops applying. Because a prepaid order below Rs. 499 would have paid Rs. 50 anyway, the real cost of choosing cash on delivery is about Rs. 15 on a small basket and the full Rs. 65 on a basket over Rs. 499 that would otherwise have shipped free.
Do I need an unboxing video to claim a damaged Perfora order?
Yes, according to the policy, and the same day. It states that "All claims for shortages or damages must be reported to customer service on the day of delivery with an unboxing video" and, separately, that "An unboxing video is mandatory to claim shortage or damage in transit." A photo taken after opening does not meet the stated requirement, so the practical advice is to record the box being opened and keep the file until you have checked the contents.
What happens if I cancel a Perfora order after it has shipped?
The policy charges the journey both ways. Verbatim: "For orders that are cancelled after dispatch and while in transit, or rejected (in case of COD orders) shipping costs will be charged for both to-and-fro at actuals. For pre-paid orders, cancellations post dispatch will not be eligible" for pre-dispatch treatment. Refusing a cash-on-delivery parcel at the door therefore costs the outbound and return legs on top of the Rs. 65 already applied.
How long does Perfora take to dispatch an order?
The page states that "we generally dispatch all our orders within 48 hours of receipt" and that the brand ships "to all serviceable pin codes in India" by reputed courier agencies. It publishes no delivery-days range, so transit time is not estimated on the page - the 48-hour figure describes the warehouse, not your doorstep. Support is stated as available Monday to Saturday, 10 AM to 6 PM.

Zoutons may earn a commission when you buy through links on this page. Every quoted sentence, charge, threshold and window here was read on 4 October 2026 from perfora.in/policies/shipping-policy, logged out, in India, with nothing purchased, no account created, no order placed, received, refused or cancelled and no shortage or damage claim raised; quotations are reproduced verbatim from the brand's own page, including its own punctuation and spelling. None of the charges described here was verified at a checkout, and the only reliable figure for your own order is the one your own cart displays. Policies change without notice: the shipping policy published on perfora.in at the time of your order, and any charges or terms shown at your own checkout, prevail over anything on this page. The 48-hour dispatch figure is the brand's own stated estimate and describes its warehouse rather than delivery to any address; the page publishes no transit-time range and this page does not estimate one. Comparisons to charges published by Minimalist, Nykaa, SuperBottoms, Dot & Key, Plum or Libas describe figures this site read from those brands' own pages on the dates stated in the linked articles and may since have changed. Nothing here alleges unfair trade practice, deficiency in service, a dark pattern, hidden charges or any breach of the Consumer Protection Act, the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, the Legal Metrology Act or any other law, rule or guideline by Perfora, by Perfora Oral Care Private Limited or by any courier or payment partner, and no wrongdoing is alleged or implied; charging a cash-on-delivery handling fee, setting a free-shipping threshold, requiring evidence for a transit-damage claim and recovering to-and-fro shipping on a refused parcel are ordinary and lawful commercial practices. Nothing on this page is legal advice, and a shopper with a disputed charge, claim or undelivered order should rely on the brand's own published policy and customer service rather than on this summary.
