A dry fruit gifting potli with bowls of almonds, cashews and raisins in a Diwali setting - Happilo's own campaign photograph for the 200 g potli priced in this read of Amazon's dry fruit gift shelf

Twenty-four of the forty dry fruit gift listings on Amazon's shelf state a maximum retail price below the price they are asking. A Rs. 999 box states Rs. 99; a Rs. 2,200 hamper states Rs. 220. That number is the price per 100 grams. Divide the selling price by it, multiply by a hundred, and you get the weight of the box - which it reproduces, to within 1.5%, on 18 of the 19 listings that also print one.

Which turns the worst-filled field on the shelf into the most useful one. Ranked by rate, these boxes run from Rs. 62 to Rs. 323 per 100 g, and the ticket price barely predicts where a box lands. Below: how to run the sum, the one listing whose numbers disagree with each other, and why the discount sort on this shelf shows you the least-reviewed boxes first.

📅 Update log:
1 October 2026 — first published. The shelf was read on the morning of 1 October 2026 from amazon.in's own search results for 'dry fruits gift pack', logged out, in India, with nothing purchased; 40 listings were returned. Every selling price, stated MRP, discount badge, star average and rating count quoted here was read on that date. Weights described as implied are our own arithmetic over two figures each listing publishes, and are compared against the weight the same listing prints in its title wherever it prints one.

Twenty-four listings state an MRP below their own price

We read Amazon's whole 'dry fruits gift pack' shelf on the morning of 1 October 2026, logged out, in India, with nothing purchased. Forty listings came back. Twenty-four of them state a maximum retail price lower than the price they are asking, so they display 0% off. A Rs. 999 GreenFinity box states Rs. 99. A Rs. 2,200 Browntree hamper states Rs. 220. A Rs. 249 Organic Box states Rs. 62.

That normally means the data is unusable. Here it is the opposite: the number in the MRP field is the price per 100 grams, and once you know that, the field becomes the most useful thing on the card. Divide the selling price by it, multiply by a hundred, and you get the weight of the box in grams - which several of these listings never state anywhere a shopper can see.

We checked it the only way it can be checked. Nineteen of the 24 also print a weight in their own title, and 18 of those 19 recover that weight to within 1.5%. Farmley's Panchmeva: Rs. 519 divided by Rs. 122, times a hundred, is 425 g - and the title says 425 g. Browntree's 12-piece hamper: Rs. 2,200 over Rs. 220 is exactly 1,000 g, and the title says 1000Gms. This is not a theory about what the field might mean; it reproduces the stated weight eighteen times running.

Forest Found ComboRs. 998Rs. 111899 g1 kg (250 g x 4)
The one-line version: on this shelf a 0% badge is not a listing that refuses to discount. It is a listing that has put its per-100 g rate where the MRP should go - which makes it the easiest shelf on Amazon to price properly, once you know to divide.

One listing does not fit, and it is worth saying so

Eighteen of nineteen is not nineteen. Forest Found's Dry Fruits Combo Pack is priced at Rs. 998 with Rs. 111 in the MRP field, which recovers 899 g - while the title states 1 kg, broken down as 250 g x 4. That is a 10% gap, far outside the rounding that explains the one- and six-gram differences elsewhere in the table.

We are not telling you what is in that box, and nothing here suggests it holds less than it says. There are ordinary explanations for a mismatch between two published fields - a rate set before a pack-size change, a figure entered against a different variant, a simple data error - and we have not bought, opened or weighed anything. What we can say is that two numbers the same listing publishes do not agree with each other, which is the whole of the observation.

It matters practically because the rate is how you compare this shelf. At the stated 1 kg, Rs. 998 is Rs. 99.80 per 100 g, which would put it among the three cheapest boxes here. At the implied 899 g it is Rs. 111, which does not. Where a listing's own figures disagree, use the one on the pack, not the one in the field - and on this shelf, that means reading the weight before the badge.

The shelf ranked by rate: Rs. 62 to Rs. 323 per 100 g

Because that field is a rate, the 24 listings carrying it can simply be sorted. They run from Rs. 62 to Rs. 323 per 100 g, with a median of Rs. 164 - a 5.2x spread among boxes of broadly the same almonds, cashews, raisins and pistachios.

The ticket price is close to useless as a guide. A Rs. 249 box is the cheapest thing on the shelf per 100 g, at Rs. 62; a Rs. 379 box is Rs. 270, more than four times the rate. The Rs. 379 one is a four-compartment gift box with 140 g in it. Both are honestly described; they are simply not the same purchase, and the search page shows them one above the other.

What separates the ends is packaging rather than nuts. Below about Rs. 140 per 100 g you are buying a combo pack - jars, pouches, a kilogram of mixed dry fruit. Above Rs. 220 you are buying a gift box: compartments, a lid, a ribbon, a card. If you are sending it to someone, the box is the point and the rate is the price of the gesture. If you are eating it, the rate is the whole story.

Before you buy: work out the rate first. Price divided by the MRP field, times a hundred, gives the grams; price divided by the grams, times a hundred, gives what you are paying per 100 g. On this shelf that single sum moves a Rs. 379 box from 'cheapest in the cart' to 'four times the rate of a Rs. 249 one'.

The listings with a working discount are almost all one brand

Only 12 of the 40 listings state an MRP above their own selling price, which is the only arrangement under which a discount badge means anything. Seven of those 12 are Hyperfoods, a brand selling Bhai Dooj and Rakhi gift hampers, with badges from 40% to 67% off. Three more are NatureVit, PrettyNutty and GreenFinity's Rakhi pack; the last two are Farmley and Open Secret.

Now look at what is behind those badges. The seven Hyperfoods listings carry 1, 14, 14, 28, 30, 37 and 63 ratings. The best-evidenced listings on the entire shelf - GreenFinity's combo pack at 8,546 ratings, Paper Boat at 3,913, Farmley's Panchmeva at 3,543 - all display 0% off, because their MRP field holds a per-100 g rate instead of a list price.

So Amazon's discount sort inverts the evidence on this shelf. Sort by discount and the first things you see are the listings with between one and sixty-three ratings; the listings with thousands are buried at 0%. We are not suggesting anything improper by any seller - MRP data errors are common across Indian marketplaces and nothing here alleges wrongdoing. But the practical consequence is that on this particular shelf, the badge is close to an anti-signal.

What we would actually buy, and what we are not saying

If the box is for eating rather than giving, the rate decides it. GreenFinity's Rs. 999 combo pack works out at Rs. 99 per 100 g for roughly a kilogram and carries 8,546 ratings at 3.8 - the most-rated listing on the shelf and the fourth cheapest per 100 g. Farmley's Panchmeva at Rs. 122 per 100 g has 3,543 ratings at 4.1 and the highest average among the cheap end. Both show 0% off and neither will surface in a discount sort.

If it is a gift, you are paying for the box and you should know by how much. Paper Boat's Rs. 450 gift box is Rs. 225 per 100 g against Rs. 115 for the same brand's Rs. 1,150 trail-mix pouch - almost exactly double the rate for the same brand's nuts in a presentation box. That is a legitimate thing to buy. It is just worth buying it knowingly rather than because a card said 0% off.

What we are not saying: nothing on this page is a claim about quality, grade, origin, freshness or what is inside any box. We did not buy, open, weigh or eat anything. Every weight recovered here is arithmetic over two numbers the listing itself publishes, not a measurement, and where those two numbers disagree - as they do on exactly one listing - we have said so and left it there. Dry fruits are a food product; allergen and storage information is on the pack, not on this page.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why does an Amazon dry fruit box show an MRP lower than its price?
Because on this shelf that field holds the price per 100 grams rather than a list price. Twenty-four of the 40 listings we read on 1 October 2026 state an MRP below their own selling price and therefore display 0% off - and in 18 of the 19 cases where the title also prints a weight, dividing the price by that field and multiplying by a hundred reproduces the stated weight to within 1.5%. Rs. 519 over Rs. 122 gives 425 g on a box whose title says 425 g. Data errors in MRP fields are common across Indian marketplaces and no wrongdoing by Amazon or any seller is alleged; the practical upshot is that the field is usable, just not as a discount.
What does a dry fruit gift box cost per 100 g on Amazon?
In this read, Rs. 62 to Rs. 323 per 100 g, with a median of Rs. 164 - a 5.2x spread across 24 listings whose rate could be computed. The cheapest was an Organic Box mixed pack at Rs. 62; the dearest a Nutty Gritties Gold Edition gift box at Rs. 323. Roughly speaking, combo packs and pouches sit below Rs. 140 and presentation gift boxes sit above Rs. 220, so the gap is mostly packaging rather than nuts. These figures describe the 40 listings returned on 1 October 2026, not Amazon's full catalogue.
Is the cheapest dry fruit gift pack the best value?
Not reliably, because the ticket price tracks the box size. A Rs. 249 listing in this read is Rs. 62 per 100 g and a Rs. 379 listing is Rs. 270 per 100 g, more than four times the rate, because the second is a 140 g four-compartment gift box. The Rs. 2,200 Browntree hamper, the most expensive ticket on the shelf, is Rs. 220 per 100 g - cheaper per gram than six listings costing a quarter as much. Work out the rate before comparing anything, especially during festive season when box sizes vary most.
Which Amazon dry fruit listings have the most reviews?
GreenFinity's Dry Fruits Combo Pack led this read with 8,546 ratings at 3.8, followed by Paper Boat's Absolute Health mix at 3,913 at 4.1 and Farmley's Panchmeva at 3,543 at 4.1. All three display 0% off, because their MRP field carries a per-100 g rate. By contrast, the seven listings from the one brand that does state a usable MRP - and therefore shows badges of 40% to 67% off - carry between 1 and 63 ratings each. Sorting this shelf by discount shows you the thinnest-rated listings first.
Do the stated weights on these boxes match?
On 18 of the 19 listings where both figures were published, yes, to within 1.5%. The exception is Forest Found's combo pack: Rs. 998 with Rs. 111 in the MRP field, which implies 899 g, against a title stating 1 kg as 250 g x 4. We report that as read. We did not buy, open or weigh the box, we make no claim about what is inside it, and there are ordinary explanations for two published fields disagreeing - a rate set before a pack change, or a plain data error. Where a listing's own numbers conflict, go by the weight printed on the pack.

Zoutons may earn a commission when you buy through links on this page. Every selling price, stated MRP, discount badge, star average and rating count here was read on 1 October 2026 from amazon.in's own search results for 'dry fruits gift pack', logged out, in India, with nothing purchased; 40 listings were returned. Every count, median, range and rate on this page describes those 40 listings on that date rather than Amazon's full catalogue, and a dry fruit gift pack sold there that did not appear in these results does not appear here; search results are ranked, partly personalised and change continuously, so a different reader will not see the same set. Weights described as implied or recovered are our own arithmetic - the selling price divided by the figure in the listing's MRP field, multiplied by one hundred - and are not measurements; we did not buy, open, weigh or eat any item on this page, and nothing here is a claim that any box contains more or less than it states. Where that arithmetic disagrees with the weight a listing prints in its own title, as it does on one listing, both figures are reported as published and no conclusion is drawn about the contents; ordinary explanations for two published fields disagreeing include a rate set before a pack-size change, a figure entered against a different variant, and simple data entry error. MRP data errors are common across Indian marketplaces, and nothing on this page is an allegation of mispricing, short weight, misleading advertising or any breach of the Legal Metrology Act, the Consumer Protection Act, the Packaged Commodities Rules, the Food Safety and Standards Act or any other law, rule or platform policy by Amazon Seller Services Private Limited or by Happilo, Farmley, Paper Boat, GreenFinity, Browntree, Brijbooti, Nutty Gritties, Nutty Organics, Hyperfoods, NatureVit, PrettyNutty, LILA Dry Fruits, Forest Found, Organic Box, Vedaka, Haldiram's, Omay Foods, Open Secret or any other brand or seller named or unnamed, and no wrongdoing is alleged or implied. An MRP is the figure the listing displays and we have not verified that any product here was ever sold at it, so every percentage on this page is arithmetic over two numbers the seller chose rather than a measured saving. The observation that the listings with a usable MRP come mostly from one brand, and carry few ratings, is a description of published figures on one shelf on one date and is not a comment on that brand's products, pricing practices or review integrity; rating counts and star averages are reproduced exactly as published, including very small counts, and a listing with no published rating is treated as unrated rather than as poor. Weights, contents, nut varieties, 'premium', '100% natural', 'California almonds', shelf life and every other description on these listings are the sellers' own printed text, reproduced as printed and not verified, weighed, graded or tested by us - nothing here is a statement about quality, grade, origin, freshness, nutrition or food safety. Dry fruits and nuts are a food product and a common allergen; allergen, ingredient, storage and best-before information is on the pack and on the seller's own listing, not on this page, and anyone with a nut allergy should rely on those rather than on anything written here. Product photographs, including the banner, are the listings' own images as published on amazon.in and may be styled or retouched. Prices change without notice and can differ at checkout after coupons, bank offers or delivery charges; the price shown at your checkout prevails over anything here.
