Flipkart Diwali Gift and Lights Prices September 2026: From Rs. 58

Flipkart's Big Billion Days opens on 9 October this year, with early access for Plus, VIP and Flipkart credit card holders from midnight on 8 October — both dates are on Flipkart's own Big Billion Days store page, read on 26 September 2026. The festive gifting shelves are already up, so we read them: four searches, two pages each, 285 distinct listings across gift hampers, dry fruit boxes, festive gift sets and decoration lights.

One hundred and sixty-eight of those 285 listings — 59% — publish no rating at all. That is the highest unrated share of any Flipkart aisle we have read this year. It is not spread evenly: the gift hampers are almost entirely unreviewed at 69 of 80, the dry fruit boxes 53 of 77, the festive gift sets 33 of 61 — while the decoration lights, which are sold year round rather than assembled for one season, run at 13 of 67.

Which matters more here than on an ordinary shelf, because a gift hamper is a bundle of unnamed contents in a decorated box. There is no model number to compare and, for two thirds of these listings, no buyer feedback either. So we did the only two things the titles allow: divided the dry fruit boxes by their stated weight, and the light strings by their stated length.

Thirty-seven of the 77 dry fruit gift boxes state one unambiguous weight and no pack count, so a rate per kilo can be computed honestly. Those 37 run from Rs. 450 a kilo to Rs. 7,340 a kilo, a spread of 16 times, with a median of Rs. 1,504. The other 40 either state no weight or state a per-unit weight alongside a pack count, and we have left them out rather than guess.

The decoration is what you are paying for and the arithmetic shows it. Riwaz, the most prolific seller on this shelf, occupies both ends: its 2.2 kg and 2.3 kg boxes work out at Rs. 745 to Rs. 917 a kilo, and its 450 g presentation boxes at Rs. 3,251 to Rs. 3,676. Same brand, same category, nearly five times the rate. Koogly's decorative thalis reach Rs. 7,340 a kilo for 100 g of nuts.

Almost everything at the dear end is unrated. The cheapest rate on the shelf, BK KART's 500 g mixed jar at Rs. 225, carries 58 ratings; Dry Fruit Hub's 1 kg at Rs. 801 carries 147; of the seven listings above Rs. 3,000 a kilo, five publish nothing. None of this says the dear boxes hold worse nuts — a brass thali, a wooden tray and a printed rigid box cost real money to make. It says the rate is buying packaging, and the packaging is not weighed.

The lights shelf is the opposite: it is the most transparent thing in this read. Forty-nine of the 67 listings print both an LED count and a length in the title — "40 LEDs 11 m", "2000 LEDs 45.72 m" — so both a rate per metre and a rate per LED fall straight out.

The median is Rs. 21.90 a metre and Rs. 1.57 an LED. The cheapest run is Rs. 3.56 a metre — diwalilights' 220-LED, 50-metre string at Rs. 178, with 3,223 ratings. The dearest is Rs. 339.13 a metre, a Zoomify 2.3-metre string at Rs. 780 with no rating. That is a 95-fold spread in what a metre of festive lighting costs on one page.

Per LED the ordering changes, because the dense short strings pack lamps close together: kiyo's 2,000-LED, 45.72-metre string at Rs. 211 works out at Rs. 0.11 an LED, the cheapest in the read, while Vastra's 12-LED decorative string at Rs. 394 costs Rs. 32.83 an LED. Length and density are different purchases, and the titles state both, which is more than most categories manage. What the titles do not state is brightness, wire quality, whether the string is indoor-rated or the driver's safety approvals.

Read the rating counts rather than the stars and the lights shelf shows its structure. PESCA publishes 39,573 ratings — the largest count in the read — on three separate listings priced Rs. 311, Rs. 348 and Rs. 531. Two are packs of five and one is a pack of ten, so the prices are not directly comparable; the stated MRPs are Rs. 999, Rs. 2,499 and Rs. 999, which makes the badges read 69%, 86% and 47% on what the rating pool treats as one product.

Refulgix does the same across five listings sharing 2,470 ratings, from Rs. 70 to Rs. 629, and MPROW, Dreamica and spark world each across two. An identical rating count on separate listings normally means the reviews are pooled across variants, which is ordinary practice — and worth knowing when a four-figure rating count is the only signal a festive listing offers.

The stated MRPs cluster just as hard as they did on Flipkart's wall shelf aisle. Sixty-five of the 285 listings declare exactly Rs. 999, under 22 different brand names, while selling for anywhere from Rs. 70 to Rs. 998. The biggest multiple in the read is 14.27x: a Refulgix string at Rs. 70 against a declared Rs. 999, badged 93%. A stated MRP is what the seller declares and the badge is computed from it, so that is arithmetic on a declaration, not a measured saving.

Nothing here was bought, opened, eaten, plugged in or lit. No weight, LED count, length, nut grade or food claim on this page has been verified by us. Every figure is the listing's own printed text and every rate is our arithmetic over it.

The per-kilo numbers deliberately exclude 40 of the 77 dry fruit listings, because a title that says "100 g" next to "Pack of 6" cannot be divided without guessing which number is the total — and guessing there would have produced rates four to eighteen times higher than anything in our table. A rate per kilo also says nothing about what is in the box: almonds, cashews, pistachios, walnuts, dates and chocolate all appear in these listings at wholesale prices that differ by several times, so a dearer box may simply hold dearer nuts.
