Flipkart has published its Big Billion Days schedule and it is unambiguous: early access from midnight on 8 October 2026, general access from 9 October. Printed on the same page is a tile offering to sell you that early window for Rs. 499. Printed three scrolls above it is Flipkart's own FAQ, which gives the identical window to Plus members and to partner-bank card holders for no stated fee.
We read flipkart.com/big-billion-days-store first-party on 6 October 2026, logged out and in India. Below: the schedule as printed, what the Rs. 499 BLACK tile actually promises, the two different bank-discount percentages Flipkart publishes for the same sale, and the free routes into 8 October.

"Early Access (Flipkart Plus, VIP Members & Flipkart credit card holders): Starts October 8, 2026, at midnight."
📅 Update log:
6 October 2026 — First publication. Schedule block, bank-offer block and both FAQ answers read from flipkart.com/big-billion-days-store; the "Get BLACK privileges" creative and its Rs. 499 button read from the tile served on that page; the dated sale line read from flipkart.com/offers-store. Early access 8 October midnight, general access 9 October, no end date published. Verified 6 October 2026.
Who gets into Big Billion Days on 8 October
Flipkart prints the schedule in a block headed "Sale Schedule & Early Access" on its own Big Billion Days store page. Read on 6 October 2026, it says two things and nothing else about timing:
"Early Access (Flipkart Plus, VIP Members & Flipkart credit card holders): Starts October 8, 2026, at midnight." and "General Public Access: Starts October 9, 2026."
The page's own FAQ repeats it with the length of the window attached: "The sale officially begins for all users on October 9, 2026. However, Flipkart Plus and VIP members get 24-hour early access starting at midnight on October 8, 2026." A second FAQ answer names the three routes in: "You can unlock early access by becoming a Flipkart Plus or VIP member, or by holding an eligible partner bank credit card (like the Flipkart Axis Bank Credit Card)."
No end date for the sale is published anywhere on that page.
| Route into 8 October | What Flipkart says it costs | Where we read it |
|---|
| Flipkart Plus membership | No price printed on the BBD page | Sale Schedule block, FAQ |
| VIP / BLACK membership | Rs. 499 on the BLACK tile | "Join BLACK at Rs. 499" creative |
| Eligible partner bank credit card | No price printed; card fees are the bank's | FAQ, "like the Flipkart Axis Bank Credit Card" |
| Everyone else | Free - wait until 9 October | "General Public Access" |
What the Rs. 499 BLACK tile actually promises
Served on the same store page, from Flipkart's own image CDN, is a tile headed "Get BLACK privileges". It carries three claims in three columns and one button. Reproduced exactly as printed:
"Instant 15% Off with bank offer" · "24 Hrs Early Access to the sale" · "Exclusive BLACK Deals", under a button reading "Join BLACK at Rs. 499".
The middle claim is the one the schedule block already gives away for free to two other groups. The third is unquantified - Flipkart does not list which deals are BLACK-only, or how many. The first claim is the one worth stopping on, because the same page prints a different number.
Ten per cent or fifteen? Flipkart's own page says both
Under "Exclusive Bank Offers", the Big Billion Days store page states the headline bank discount in one line: "Instant Discounts: Up to 10% discount on eligible transactions with Axis Bank and ICICI Bank cards."
The BLACK tile on the same page says "Instant 15% Off with bank offer".
Those are two different percentages for the same sale, published on the same domain on the same morning, and Flipkart reconciles them nowhere we could find. Neither figure is printed with a cap, a minimum order value, a card list or a category exclusion in the place it appears - the 10% line names two banks and stops; the 15% line names no bank at all and says only "with bank offer".
Both are also qualified in the way festive bank offers always are. "Up to" does a great deal of work: in recent editions the instant discount has carried a per-transaction cap in the low thousands of rupees and a minimum spend, and has excluded a long list of categories. We could not read a cap for either number from a logged-out session, so we are not going to invent one - what you see at your own checkout, on your own card, is the figure that governs.
If you are weighing Rs. 499 purely on the discount percentage, the arithmetic only works once the cap is known. A five-point gap is worth Rs. 499 at a Rs. 9,980 spend if nothing is capped - and worth far less the moment either offer tops out, which festive instant discounts almost always do. Flipkart has not published the 2026 caps.
The other two routes in cost nothing extra on 8 October
This is what makes the membership question a real one rather than an obvious one. Flipkart's FAQ puts Plus membership and an eligible partner bank credit card on exactly the same footing as VIP for early access - all three unlock the midnight window on 8 October.
Plus has no price on this page at all. It is Flipkart's SuperCoin-earned tier rather than a paid one, and if you already hold it, the 24-hour window the BLACK tile is selling is already yours. We cover how the tiers and earn rates work in our Flipkart SuperCoins, Plus and Black guide.
The credit-card route has a timing problem rather than a price one. Flipkart names the Flipkart Axis Bank Credit Card as an example of an eligible card. Applying for and receiving a co-branded card is a two-to-four week process at the best of times, and early access opens at midnight on 8 October - which is two days from this page's publication, so that route is effectively closed for 2026 unless you already hold the card.
That leaves Rs. 499 buying, for most people reading this on 6 October, the 24-hour window plus whatever "Exclusive BLACK Deals" turns out to mean.
Check what you already have before paying. Open the Flipkart app's rewards or Plus Zone section and look at your current tier. Flipkart's own FAQ grants the 8 October window to Plus members without naming a fee - if you are already Plus, the headline benefit on the Rs. 499 tile is one you hold already.
Flipkart calls the same tier three different things
Worth knowing if you go looking for it. The schedule block on the Big Billion Days store page says "VIP Members". The creative served on that same page says "BLACK". The homepage banner we read when the dates were first announced in September said "Plus, Black". The FAQ says "Flipkart Plus or VIP member".
We report all four wordings as printed rather than picking one, because we cannot verify from a logged-out session whether VIP and BLACK are the same tier under two names or two tiers with the same early-access right. If you are buying on the strength of a tier name, read the name on the checkout screen, not the one on the banner.
The dates themselves have not wavered since Flipkart published them: 8 October midnight for early access, 9 October for everyone, which is what our Big Billion Days 2026 dates tracker has carried since 15 September. Flipkart's Offers Store adds one dated line of its own: "the next Flipkart sale event starts on 9th Oct, with early bird deals kicking off from sept 24" - which is the pre-sale run our Early Bird deals page has been tracking.
Every line quoted on this page, with where it was read, 6 October 2026
From flipkart.com/big-billion-days-store, rendered: "Sale Schedule & Early Access"; "Early Access (Flipkart Plus, VIP Members & Flipkart credit card holders): Starts October 8, 2026, at midnight."; "General Public Access: Starts October 9, 2026."; "Instant Discounts: Up to 10% discount on eligible transactions with Axis Bank and ICICI Bank cards."; "Supermoney Offers: 10% off on the 1st transaction made via Supermoney."; "Flipkart EMI: Credit up to Rs. 20,00,000 with No Cost EMI plus flat Rs. 1,000 off."; "Flipkart Pay Later: Credit up to Rs. 1,00,000 featuring No Cost EMI plus flat Rs. 500 off."; "Flipkart Digital Gift Card: Get 5% off via UPI"; FAQ: "The sale officially begins for all users on October 9, 2026. However, Flipkart Plus and VIP members get 24-hour early access starting at midnight on October 8, 2026."; FAQ: "You can unlock early access by becoming a Flipkart Plus or VIP member, or by holding an eligible partner bank credit card (like the Flipkart Axis Bank Credit Card)."; FAQ: "Shoppers can avail of a 10% instant discount when using ICICI Bank and Axis Bank cards." From the "Get BLACK privileges" creative served on that page from rukminim2.flixcart.com: "Instant 15% Off with bank offer"; "24 Hrs Early Access to the sale"; "Exclusive BLACK Deals"; "Join BLACK at Rs. 499". From flipkart.com/offers-store, rendered: "Mark your calendars! The next Flipkart sale event starts on 9th Oct, with early bird deals kicking off from sept 24!" No end date for the sale appears on any of those pages. Nothing was purchased, no account was logged in and no membership was bought.
Five things to settle before you pay Rs. 499
- Check your current tier first. Flipkart's FAQ gives the 8 October window to Plus members with no fee printed - if you are already Plus, you already have the headline benefit.
- Do not plan around the credit-card route this year. It is a valid way in per Flipkart's own FAQ, but early access opens at midnight on 8 October and card approval plus delivery is a weeks-long process.
- Treat 15% and 10% as two unreconciled figures, not a stack. They are printed on the same page in different places and neither carries a cap where it appears.
- "Exclusive BLACK Deals" is unquantified. Flipkart names no products, no count and no categories for it on this page.
- The sale has no published end date. Early access 8 October, general access 9 October, close unstated - so a membership bought for one sale has an unknown number of days to pay for itself.
Frequently Asked Questions
When does Flipkart Big Billion Days 2026 early access start?
Flipkart's own Big Billion Days store page prints it in a "Sale Schedule & Early Access" block: "Early Access (Flipkart Plus, VIP Members & Flipkart credit card holders): Starts October 8, 2026, at midnight", with "General Public Access: Starts October 9, 2026." The page's FAQ describes it as a 24-hour head start. No end date for the sale is published on that page. Read 6 October 2026, logged out, in India.
How much does Flipkart BLACK cost and what does it include for the sale?
A promotional tile served on Flipkart's Big Billion Days store page carries a button reading "Join BLACK at Rs. 499" under the heading "Get BLACK privileges". The three benefits printed on it, verbatim, are "Instant 15% Off with bank offer", "24 Hrs Early Access to the sale" and "Exclusive BLACK Deals". Flipkart does not list which deals are BLACK-only, how many there are, or what the 15% is capped at, in the place the tile is shown. We did not buy the membership and cannot describe what any individual account sees.
Can I get Big Billion Days early access without paying for a membership?
Per Flipkart's own FAQ, yes - two of the three routes it names carry no price on that page. Verbatim: "You can unlock early access by becoming a Flipkart Plus or VIP member, or by holding an eligible partner bank credit card (like the Flipkart Axis Bank Credit Card)." Plus is Flipkart's SuperCoin-earned tier and has no fee printed on the Big Billion Days page. The credit-card route is real but slow: applying for and receiving a co-branded card typically takes two to four weeks, and early access opens at midnight on 8 October 2026.
Is the Big Billion Days bank discount 10% or 15%?
Flipkart's own page carries both figures. Under "Exclusive Bank Offers" it states "Up to 10% discount on eligible transactions with Axis Bank and ICICI Bank cards", and its FAQ repeats the 10%. The BLACK membership tile served on the same page advertises "Instant 15% Off with bank offer" without naming a bank. Flipkart does not reconcile the two anywhere we could read. Neither figure is printed with a cap or a minimum order value where it appears, and "up to" means the maximum rather than the rate you will get. Check the offer terms on your own checkout screen before assuming either number.
What other Big Billion Days 2026 payment offers has Flipkart published?
From the same "Exclusive Bank Offers" block, as printed: 10% off a first transaction made via Supermoney; Flipkart EMI with credit up to Rs. 20,00,000, No Cost EMI and flat Rs. 1,000 off; Flipkart Pay Later with credit up to Rs. 1,00,000, No Cost EMI and flat Rs. 500 off; personal loans approved up to Rs. 1,00,00,000; and 5% off Flipkart digital gift cards bought via UPI. Credit limits are maximums subject to eligibility, not amounts anyone is offered, and all of these are Flipkart's published figures rather than ones we verified at a checkout.

Zoutons may earn a commission when you buy through links on this page. Every date, percentage, rupee figure and quoted sentence here was read on 6 October 2026 from Flipkart's own pages - flipkart.com/big-billion-days-store and flipkart.com/offers-store - and from a promotional creative served on the former from Flipkart's own rukminim2.flixcart.com image CDN, in a logged-out session from India with nothing purchased, no account created and no membership bought; quoted sentences are reproduced verbatim as printed and rupee amounts shown on those pages with the rupee sign are written here as 'Rs.'. Sale schedules, membership prices, membership benefits and bank offers change without notice and are frequently varied by account, card, city and category, so the figures here may already differ from the ones shown to you - the price, the tier name and the offer terms displayed at your own checkout prevail over anything on this page. Reporting that Flipkart's store page states 'up to 10%' while a creative served on the same page states 'Instant 15% Off with bank offer', that the page uses 'VIP Members' where the creative uses 'BLACK', or that Flipkart's own FAQ names routes into early access that carry no price on that page, is a description of published marketing copy as it appeared on one morning; running tiered early access, pricing a paid membership, advertising a maximum discount with an 'up to' qualifier and using different tier wording across a banner, a schedule block and a creative are ordinary and lawful commercial practices, and nothing on this page alleges misleading advertising, a dark pattern, an unfair trade practice or any breach of the Consumer Protection Act, the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules or any other law, rule or guideline by Flipkart Internet Private Limited or any associated entity, and no wrongdoing is alleged or implied. We did not buy the BLACK membership, did not hold a Flipkart Axis Bank Credit Card, did not log in to any account and therefore cannot describe what benefits, caps, minimum order values, category exclusions or prices any individual account is shown; the absence of a published cap on either the 10% or the 15% figure is a statement about what those pages displayed, not a claim that no cap exists. Credit limits quoted for Flipkart EMI, Pay Later and personal loans are Flipkart's published maximums subject to its own eligibility checks and are not amounts offered to any applicant. The arithmetic example of a five-point gap being worth Rs. 499 at a spend of Rs. 9,980 is our own and assumes no cap applies, which festive instant discounts generally do apply. The hero image is Flipkart's own promotional creative, reproduced to report what it says. Nothing here is financial advice.
