SuperCoins, Plus, Plus Gold and Flipkart Black get written about as though they were one thing, usually with rupee figures nobody can source. This page does the opposite: it sets out only what Flipkart itself publishes, read from its own description of these programmes on 27 September 2026, and then names the figures it does not publish rather than filling them in.
The timing matters. Flipkart's own Big Billion Days store page states early access on 8 October 2026 and general opening on 9 October - and both Plus tiers are defined by Flipkart in terms of an early-sale-access discount, 12% at Silver and 15% at Gold. Whether you cross the 10-order or 20-order line before that date is the only decision any of this creates.
📅 Update log:
27 September 2026 — first published. Every earn rate, tier threshold, discount percentage, benefit and bank name on this page was read the same morning from Flipkart's own published description of its loyalty, rewards and payment programmes, logged out, in India. Big Billion Days dates read the same morning from Flipkart's own Big Billion Days store page. We also attempted flipkart.com/plus (redirects to a login wall), flipkart.com/pages/supercoins (HTTP 500) and flipkart.com/black (HTTP 404); figures that live only behind those are named as unpublished rather than estimated.
The short version, in Flipkart's own numbers
Flipkart runs three overlapping things and the names get used interchangeably, which is where most of the confusion comes from. SuperCoins are the currency. Flipkart Plus is a free tier you reach by ordering often. Flipkart Black is a paid subscription. You can hold coins without Plus, and Plus without Black.
Every figure in the table below is taken from Flipkart's own published description of these programmes, read on 27 September 2026. Where Flipkart does not state a number, this page says so rather than filling the gap.
| Programme | How you get it | What Flipkart states you get |
|---|
| SuperCoins | Automatic on every order | Rs. 100 spent = 2 SuperCoins. Cashback offers can run at 1 SuperCoin per rupee spent. |
| Plus Silver | Shop 10 times a year | A 12% instant discount during early sale access, plus more SuperCoins per purchase and priority assistance. |
| Plus Gold | Shop 20 times a year | A 15% early access discount during sale, on top of the Plus benefits. |
| Plus (any tier) | 10+ orders a year | Up to 25 SuperCoins per purchase, early access to deals and offers, priority assistance, assured enrolment in Flipkart Pay Later. |
| Flipkart Black | Paid subscription | Free YouTube Premium, 5% SuperCoins cashback on Flipkart and Flipkart Minutes purchases, travel perks, priority customer service, early sale access, exclusive offers on premium electronics. |
What Flipkart does not publish in this description, and what we therefore will not tell you: the rupee price of a Flipkart Black subscription, the SuperCoin-to-rupee redemption ratio, whether earning is capped by category, whether SuperCoins expire, how an "order" is counted towards the 10 and 20 thresholds, and whether the 12% and 15% early-access discounts carry a maximum rupee value. We checked on 27 September 2026: flipkart.com/plus redirects to a login wall, flipkart.com/pages/supercoins returns a server error and flipkart.com/black returns a 404. Those figures exist inside the logged-in app. Anyone quoting them to you from outside it is guessing.
Why the tier you hold on 8 October matters more than usual
Flipkart's own Big Billion Days store page states that early access opens on 8 October 2026 and the sale opens generally on 9 October. Read that against how Flipkart defines the Plus tiers, and the two facts line up: both tiers are described in terms of a discount during early sale access. Silver is 12%. Gold is 15%.
So the practical question this month is not whether to join anything - Plus is not something you buy - but whether your order count over the last year has already put you over the 10-order or 20-order line before 8 October. If you are at eight orders and you were going to buy something small anyway, the arithmetic of doing it before the 8th is worth a minute of your time. If you are at two, it is not.
One honest caveat: Flipkart does not publish, in this description, how it counts an order, over what window, or whether the 12% and 15% figures are capped in rupees. We are describing what the benefit is defined as, not promising what it will pay you.
SuperCoins: what the earn rate actually works out to
Flipkart's stated base rate is 2 SuperCoins per Rs. 100 spent. Two things change that. First, Flipkart states that Plus members can earn up to 25 coins with every purchase - a per-purchase ceiling rather than a rate. Second, it states that cashback offers can run at 1 SuperCoin for every rupee spent, which is fifty times the base rate and is clearly offer-specific rather than standing.
Put the base rate against a real basket and it is modest. Spend Rs. 5,000 and the base rate earns 100 coins; but Flipkart's stated Plus ceiling of 25 coins per purchase means a single Plus order appears to top out well below that, which is exactly the kind of detail the published text leaves ambiguous. We are not going to resolve it for you by guessing.
What Flipkart is specific about is where coins can go: at checkout, in the SuperCoin Zone, on gift cards, on subscriptions to OTT and music services, and at partner brands. It does not publish a coin-to-rupee conversion in this description, so the value of a coin is not something this page can state.
The one number to hold on to: Rs. 100 spent = 2 SuperCoins is the only earn rate Flipkart states plainly and unconditionally. Everything else - the 25-coin ceiling, the 1-coin-per-rupee cashback rate, the 5% Black cashback - is conditional on membership or on a live offer.
Flipkart Black: a subscription, described but not priced
Flipkart describes Black as "a new subscription plan that offers a combination of shopping benefits, entertainment access, and travel offers". The specifics it lists are: a free YouTube Premium subscription, 5% SuperCoins cashback on purchases made through Flipkart and Flipkart Minutes, travel perks, priority customer service, early access to sales, and exclusive offers on premium electronics.
The 5% cashback figure is the one worth noticing, because it is stated as a rate rather than a ceiling. Against the base earn of 2 coins per Rs. 100 - which is 2% if a coin were worth a rupee, and Flipkart does not say it is - a flat 5% in coins is a materially different proposition.
But Flipkart does not publish the subscription price in this description, and the /black page returns a 404 to a logged-out visitor. Without the price, nobody outside the app can tell you whether 5% in coins plus YouTube Premium is worth it. Anyone who does is estimating. Check the price in the app against your own annual Flipkart spend before you subscribe.
The payment and EMI options Flipkart lists alongside these programmes
Flipkart's own description groups three financing options under "Payment and Affordability", read the same morning:
- No Cost EMI - stated as applicable on select mobiles, laptops, large and small appliances, furniture, electronics and watches. Flipkart's own text adds "Terms and conditions apply", and does not publish the tenures or the minimum cart value here.
- EMI on debit cards - Flipkart names four partner banks: Axis Bank, HDFC Bank, State Bank of India and ICICI Bank. No interest rate or tenure is published in this description.
- UPI, Pay Later, cards and net banking - listed as the flexible-payment set. Flipkart separately states that Plus membership includes "assured enrollment in the Flipkart Pay Later program", which is the one place the loyalty tier and the payment options connect.
None of these is a discount. They change when you pay, not what you pay - except No Cost EMI, where the interest is absorbed rather than charged, and Flipkart's own wording is that you split the cost "without paying any extra interest".
How this compares with Myntra Insider
The closest equivalent in the same group is Myntra Insider, which we have written up separately. The structural difference is worth stating: Myntra's tiers are earned by spend and Flipkart's Plus tiers are earned by order count - 10 and 20 orders a year. That rewards frequency rather than basket size, which is unusual and which favours people who buy small things often over people who buy one expensive thing a year.
It also means the two programmes reward opposite behaviour. If your Flipkart spending is one laptop a year, Plus will never do much for you regardless of the rupee value. If it is groceries through Flipkart Minutes and small household orders, the 10-order threshold is closer than you think.
What we would actually do with this
The practical reading
Do not pay for anything on the strength of this page. Plus is free and automatic - there is nothing to sign up for and nothing to buy. The only decision it creates is whether a marginal order before 8 October pushes you over the 10-order or 20-order line ahead of Big Billion Days early access. If you are close, that is worth checking in the app; if you are not, ignore it.
Treat SuperCoins as a rounding adjustment, not a reason to buy. The stated base rate is 2 coins per Rs. 100. Flipkart does not publish what a coin is worth in rupees, so the honest description of the base programme is "a small discount of unstated size, applied later". The 1-coin-per-rupee cashback offers Flipkart mentions are fifty times the base rate, which tells you how much of the value sits in temporary offers rather than in the standing programme.
Do not subscribe to Black on anyone's recommendation, including ours. The benefit list is real and specific - 5% in coins plus YouTube Premium is not nothing - but the price is not published anywhere we can reach, and a subscription you cannot price is a subscription you cannot evaluate. Open the app, find the annual fee, and compare it against your own Flipkart spend over the last twelve months. That is a calculation only you can do.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I become a Flipkart Plus member in 2026?
You do not join or pay - Flipkart states it is reached by order count. Per its own published description read on 27 September 2026: shop 10 times a year and you become a Plus Silver member; shop 20 times a year and you become a Plus Gold member. Flipkart does not publish, in that description, how it defines an order or over exactly what twelve-month window it counts, so check your current status inside the Flipkart app rather than relying on an estimate.
What is the difference between Flipkart Plus Silver and Plus Gold?
Flipkart states the difference as the size of the early-access discount. Plus Silver gets a 12% instant discount during early sale access; Plus Gold gets a 15% early access discount during sale. Silver is reached at 10 orders a year and Gold at 20. Both tiers share the wider Plus benefits: more SuperCoins per purchase (Flipkart states members can earn up to 25 coins with every purchase), early access to deals, priority assistance and assured enrolment in Flipkart Pay Later. Flipkart does not publish whether either discount is capped in rupees.
How many SuperCoins do I get per Rs. 100 on Flipkart?
Flipkart's own stated base rate is 2 SuperCoins per Rs. 100 spent. Two qualifiers come from the same text: Plus members "can earn up to 25 coins with every purchase", which reads as a per-purchase ceiling rather than a rate, and cashback offers can run at 1 SuperCoin for every rupee spent - fifty times the base rate, and clearly offer-specific. Flipkart does not publish a SuperCoin-to-rupee conversion in this description, so we cannot tell you what a coin is worth.
What does Flipkart Black cost, and is it worth it?
Flipkart does not publish the price anywhere we can reach. We checked on 27 September 2026: flipkart.com/black returns a 404 and flipkart.com/plus redirects to a login wall. What Flipkart does state is the benefit list - a free YouTube Premium subscription, 5% SuperCoins cashback on Flipkart and Flipkart Minutes purchases, travel perks, priority customer service, early sale access and exclusive offers on premium electronics. Without a price there is no way for anyone outside the app to judge whether that is worth it, and we are not going to pretend otherwise. Find the fee in the app and weigh it against your own annual spend.
Does Flipkart Plus give early access to Big Billion Days 2026?
Flipkart defines both Plus tier benefits in terms of early sale access - 12% for Silver and 15% for Gold - and lists "early access to sales" among Black's benefits. Separately, Flipkart's own Big Billion Days store page states early access on 8 October 2026 and general opening on 9 October. We have not seen Flipkart publish a single page tying the two statements together, so treat the connection as what the two first-party statements imply rather than as a confirmed promise, and check the app for the exact terms nearer the date.

Every earn rate, tier threshold, discount percentage, benefit description, category list and bank name on this page was read on 27 September 2026 from Flipkart's own published description of its loyalty, rewards and payment programmes on flipkart.com, logged out, in India, and the Big Billion Days dates from Flipkart's own Big Billion Days store page the same morning. Quoted phrases are Flipkart's own wording, reproduced as published. This page is a description of what Flipkart states, not an offer, a guarantee or a contract: Flipkart's own terms and conditions, as shown to you inside your account at the time you transact, prevail over anything here, and programme terms can change without notice. Several figures relevant to these programmes are not published in the description we read and are therefore named on this page as unpublished rather than estimated - specifically the rupee price of a Flipkart Black subscription, the SuperCoin-to-rupee redemption ratio, any per-category earning cap, any SuperCoin expiry rule, the definition of an 'order' for tier counting and the counting window, and whether the 12% and 15% early-access discounts carry a maximum rupee value. We attempted flipkart.com/plus, flipkart.com/pages/supercoins and flipkart.com/black on 27 September 2026 and received a login redirect, an HTTP 500 and an HTTP 404 respectively; we did not log in to any account, and no figure on this page comes from inside a logged-in session. The connection this page draws between the Plus early-access discounts and the 8 October 2026 Big Billion Days early-access date is drawn from two separate first-party Flipkart statements read the same morning; we have not seen Flipkart publish a single page linking them, and it is described here as an implication rather than a confirmed promise. Nothing here is financial advice. No Cost EMI, debit-card EMI and Pay Later are credit products offered by Flipkart and its partner banks on their own terms, including eligibility checks, processing fees and consequences for missed payments that are not described on this page; read the provider's terms before using them. Naming Axis Bank, HDFC Bank, State Bank of India and ICICI Bank reproduces Flipkart's own published partner list and is not a recommendation of any bank or product. Mentioning YouTube Premium reproduces Flipkart's own description of a Black benefit and implies no relationship with or endorsement by Google or YouTube. No wrongdoing, misrepresentation or breach by Flipkart, by any bank named, or by any partner brand named or unnamed is alleged or implied anywhere on this page.
