Sweatshirt Price Flipkart vs Myntra October 2026: Rs. 399 vs Rs. 790

Search "sweatshirt" on Flipkart and on Myntra in the same hour and you get two shelves that have almost nothing in common except the word. We read both on 26 October 2026, logged out, from India - 129 Flipkart listings and 66 Myntra listings.

Flipkart's median sweatshirt is Rs. 399. Myntra's is Rs. 790. Seventy-five per cent of the Flipkart shelf sits under Rs. 500; five per cent of the Myntra shelf does. And one of the two publishes customer ratings while the other, in this read, publishes none at all.

This is the difference we would want to know about before spending either amount. Forty-seven of Myntra's 66 listings publish a star average and a rating count - a median of 390 ratings, and a Roadster hoodie in the read carries 49,560. None of Flipkart's 129 publishes either figure.

The same scraper, reading Flipkart's grocery shelves the same morning, returned ratings for 189 of 287 listings - so this is a property of Flipkart's apparel tiles rather than of our read. It means that on the cheaper shelf, there is no crowd-sourced signal of any kind: no star average, no count, nothing to distinguish the fifth Rs. 398 tile from the first.

Half of Myntra's shelf carries labels with their own retail presence - Roadster alone accounts for 16 of the 66 listings, H&M for nine - and those listings run a median Rs. 819, barely Rs. 69 above the rest of the Myntra shelf. On Myntra, the brand name is almost free. On Flipkart, recognised labels are the exception: a Roadster reversible at Rs. 373 and an Indian Terrain at Rs. 725 are among the very few, and the Indian Terrain is the second-dearest tile in that entire 129-listing read.

Flipkart's median badge is 73%, against a median stated MRP of Rs. 1,499 printed by sellers most shoppers will never have heard of. Myntra's median badge is 62%, against a median stated MRP of Rs. 1,999 that is more often a label's own list price.

The badge is deepest exactly where there is least to check it against. On Flipkart, 24 listings in the read claim a Rs. 999 MRP at prices from Rs. 283 to Rs. 628, and nine listings sell at the identical price of Rs. 398. On Myntra, 18 distinct stated MRPs cover 66 listings and the clustering is milder. Neither number tells you what the garment is; one of them at least comes attached to a label you can look up.

Across both reads - 195 listings - exactly eight advertise no discount at all, and every one of them is H&M, at Rs. 999, Rs. 1,499 and Rs. 1,899 with the stated MRP equal to the price. One of them, a grey relaxed-fit hoodie at Rs. 1,499, carries 48,239 ratings - more review history than anything else in either read bar one.

That is worth sitting with. The single most-reviewed garment across both marketplaces is sold at full price, with no badge at all, while the deepest badge in either read - 87% - sits on a Rs. 328 Flipkart tile with no rating whatsoever.

If the budget is the constraint, Flipkart wins outright and it is not close. Rs. 220 to Rs. 500 buys a fleece sweatshirt there and will not on Myntra, where the cheapest listing in this read is Rs. 486 and only two others sit below Rs. 500. Accept that you are buying without a review history and read the return policy first.

If you want to know what you are getting, Myntra's shelf carries the information. Ratings on 47 of 66 listings, familiar labels on half of them, and a median price of Rs. 790 - roughly double. Neither shelf is wrong; they are answering different questions, and the discount badge is the one thing on either of them that will not help you choose.
