21 AJIO Accessory Picks, and What the Discount Badge Is Really Measuring

Clothing & Accessories
Footwear
Jul 2026
We read 208 bags, watches, sunglasses and backpacks from AJIO's own search API on July 28, and the discount badge turned out to measure something other than the bargain. It measures how much freedom a brand has to set its own reference price. All ten VOYAGE sunglasses in our pull carry a stated MRP of exactly Rs. 3,000, whatever the shape — so as the selling price climbs from Rs. 660 to Rs. 1,470 the badge falls from 78% to 51% without a single fact about the glasses changing. Eleven of RIO's twelve bags sit at precisely 70% off against seven different MRPs, and all four NETPLAY backpacks do too: a pricing rule, not a sale, which means none of it expires. At the other end, the brands with their own Indian shops cannot do this. Titan, Fastrack, Puma, Decathlon and Wildcraft read 40%, 32%, 20% and 3%, because the reference price is on a tag in a store around the corner. Our 21 picks are chosen on litres, lenses and rupees. Prices read from ajio.com on July 28, 2026.

21 Nykaa Fashion Picks, and Why the Badge Grows With the MRP

Clothing & Accessories
Womens Clothing
Jul 2026
We read 264 in-stock products from Nykaa Fashion's own category API on July 28, across both the women's and men's trees, and the discount badge turned out to follow one rule with no exceptions: it climbs with the stated MRP. Products listed under Rs. 1,000 averaged 26.4% off. Between Rs. 1,000 and Rs. 1,999, 40.0%. Between Rs. 2,000 and Rs. 3,499, 48.1%. Between Rs. 3,500 and Rs. 5,999, 50.9%. Above Rs. 6,000, 51.3%. Five bands, five steps, in perfect order. Meanwhile the price you actually pay barely moves — the median across the whole pull was Rs. 1,140, and doubling the stated MRP shifts the real median by a few hundred rupees. Chapter Three sets four products within Rs. 89 of each other whose badges read 74%, 71%, 50% and 34%. Repeating reference prices are everywhere: six PIMU dresses at Rs. 800 against Rs. 3,999, five Jack and Jones tees at Rs. 600 against Rs. 1,499, eight Indian Garage Co shirts at exactly 65%. Prices read July 28, 2026.

21 Bewakoof Picks, and a Store That Has Only 25 Prices

Clothing & Accessories
Mens Clothing
Jul 2026
We read 100 products from Bewakoof's own page data on July 28, across six category paths, and found a store with 25 prices. Six of them — Rs. 799, Rs. 499, Rs. 999, Rs. 599, Rs. 649 and Rs. 699 — cover 55% of the catalogue, and twelve cover 82%. Bewakoof does not price products individually; it puts them on shelves. Which means the badge cannot be produced by cutting a price, because the price was decided first. It has to come from the number chosen above it, and the data shows exactly that: seventeen products in our pull cost exactly Rs. 799, their MRPs run from Rs. 899 to Rs. 2,499, and their badges run from 11% to 68%. Fifty-seven percentage points of spread across items that take the identical amount from your account. The Rs. 499 shelf does the same across eleven products, and five sneakers share Rs. 2,599 against MRPs from Rs. 5,699 to Rs. 7,199. The ratings do not help either: all 100 fall between 4.4 and 4.9, so we ranked on counts instead. Prices read July 28, 2026.

21 AJIO Ethnic Picks, Counted by the Garment Instead of the Badge

Clothing & Accessories
Footwear
Jul 2026
We read 207 kurta sets, sarees, lehengas and men's kurtas from AJIO's own search API on July 28, and on these racks the discount badge cannot help you. The mean discount was 74.4% on women's kurta sets, 73.8% on sarees, 67.2% on ethnic dresses, 66.0% on men's kurtas and 63.7% on lehengas — so almost every listing sits within a few points of every other, and sorting by discount is close to sorting at random. What does separate them is how many garments arrive in the parcel. A three-piece SVARAA set at Rs. 499 works out at Rs. 166 a garment. A two-piece Nyrika set at Rs. 450, carrying a bigger badge of 90% against 89%, works out at Rs. 225. Across our nine kurta sets the per-garment prices form a clean ladder from Rs. 119 to Rs. 230 while the badges beside them jump between 65% and 90% in no order at all. The same logic runs through sarees, where a blouse piece is worth more than 26 badge points, and lehengas, where a missing dupatta costs Rs. 500 to Rs. 1,500 to replace.

21 M&S Picks, and What Escapes the Flat 60%

Clothing & Accessories
Jul 2026
We read 227 sale products across five Marks & Spencer India sale categories on July 28, and 186 of them are at exactly 60% off. Another five sit at 59% or 61% purely because their round rupee prices round a point either way. So the badge cannot rank anything, and the useful question becomes what escaped the wall — because 36 products did, and when you read what they are the pattern is immediate. The 30% and 20% shelves are almost entirely newborn multipacks and structured or extended-size lingerie: three-packs of bodysuits, sleepsuits and rompers sized from six and a half pounds, wired bras across A-E, and F-H and F-J cup ranges. These are things bought because a baby exists or because a size is hard to find anywhere else, and they do not need a discount to sell. One comparison makes it concrete: a cotton tee for a four-year-old is Rs. 400 at 60% off, and a smaller one for a newborn is Rs. 559 at 30%.

Tata CLiQ July 2026: One Sneaker, Three Prices, 21 Picks

Clothing & Accessories
Electronics
Jul 2026
We read Tata CLiQ's own marketplace search on July 28, 2026 across eight categories and pulled 196 in-stock discounted listings with real ratings attached — and the first thing the data shows is one shoe listed three times. The Puma Smashic appears at Rs. 1,575, Rs. 1,710 and Rs. 3,599, all against the same Rs. 4,499 MRP, at badges of 65%, 62% and 20%, with 98, 711 and 695 ratings respectively. The only variable is the colour of the upper, which makes the practical advice unusually simple: search the model name and read every colourway before you buy. We also tested whether the discount tracks how well-reviewed a product is, because it would be a tidy story — it does not. Across the 142 rated listings in our sample, items with 50-plus ratings averaged 39.7% off and items with fewer than 20 averaged 39.0%. Every pick here carries its rating with its count, including a 3.2 and a 3.7 we kept in.

Libas July 2026: Twenty Products, One MRP, 21 Picks

Clothing & Accessories
Womens Clothing
Jul 2026
We pulled Libas's own product feed on July 28, 2026 — 64 in-stock rows with images, every one of them discounted — and shortlisted 45 candidates, of which twenty carry an identical stated MRP of Rs. 3,299. Those twenty sell anywhere from Rs. 679 to Rs. 1,399, a 2.06x spread behind a single reference number, and they include straight kurta sets, an anarkali and several fabrics. At that point the MRP has stopped describing any individual garment and become a merchandising shelf, which has a concrete consequence: two Libas products at an identical Rs. 1,399 carry badges of 65% and 58% purely because they were filed on tiers Rs. 700 apart. The categories with credible reference prices show the smallest discounts — a Rs. 999 kurti at 50%, Rs. 1,499 trousers at 46%, a Rs. 1,499 night suit at 20%. We picked 21 garments across every tier and read the fabric words, which are what actually differ.

AJIO July 2026: The Rs. 100 T-Shirt Shelf, and 21 Picks

Clothing & Accessories
Footwear
Jul 2026
We read AJIO's own search API on July 28, 2026 across men's t-shirts, jeans and fragrance and collected 127 in-stock discounted listings — and the badges split by category in a way that is hard to unsee. T-shirts averaged 70.3% off across 43 listings and jeans 68.7% across 40, while fragrance averaged 43.9% across 44. That is a twenty-six-point gap between two aisles of the same shop on the same day. What separates them, in our reading, is whether a customer can check the price. A bottle of Wild Stone or Lattafa is an identical branded product sold by many sellers and verifiable in thirty seconds; a t-shirt from a label that exists only on marketplace listing pages is comparable to nothing, so its MRP is untestable. The picks run from a Rs. 100 t-shirt at 75% off to a Rs. 4,125 imported fragrance at 25%, and include a Max tee at 13% — the smallest badge here, from the retailer whose prices are already low.

Nykaa Fashion July 2026: One Brand, Many Badges, 21 Picks

Clothing & Accessories
Womens Clothing
Jul 2026
We read Nykaa Fashion's own menswear category API on July 28, 2026 and collected 75 in-stock discounted listings, averaging 46.5% off across a range from 11% to 68% — and grouping them by brand rather than by category is where the structure appears. The Indian Garage Co's four listings are all at exactly 65% off; Broadstar's four are all at exactly 60%. Against those, U.S. Polo Assn.'s eleven listings run 11, 12, 33, 33, 33, 34, 35, 35, 36, 38 and 38 percent, Jack and Jones's nine run from 25% to 60%, and Louis Philippe's four from 21% to 34%. Emerging labels set a single house discount rate for everything they sell. Established brands price product by product, and what moves the number inside a brand is category and cycle — apparel clears, footwear does not, and innerwear barely moves at all. Two global sportswear brands on the same shelf show 15% and 42%.

Bewakoof July 2026: Everything Is 4.5, and 21 Picks

Clothing & Accessories
Mens Clothing
Jul 2026
We read Bewakoof's own listing data on July 28, 2026 across men's and women's clothing and collected 40 in-stock discounted products, each carrying a real customer rating with its count. Every single one is rated between 4.4 and 4.9, with 26 of the 40 at 4.5 or 4.6 — a half-star spread across an entire shelf. Meanwhile the badges run from 27% to 71% and the price of a graphic t-shirt barely moves from Rs. 499: four tees at exactly that price carry badges of 71%, 67%, 62% and 55%, because their listings carry MRPs from Rs. 749 to Rs. 1,899 for broadly the same garment. So the score cannot choose for you and neither can the percentage. What can is the rating count, which ranges from 33 to 848 and measures popularity rather than quality, and two structural facts we found: a licensed character print carries a royalty floor, and an all-over print is a more expensive process — which is why those sit at 38% and 27%.

21 Libas Picks, and the Sort That Surprised Us

Clothing & Accessories
Womens Clothing
Jul 2026
Sort Libas' live markdowns by depth today and something unexpected sits at the top: the four deepest discounts in the catalogue are all plus size, and so are 16 of the 21 picks here. We did not set out to write a plus-size roundup — that is what an honest sort produced, and reordering the page to hide it would have meant matching an expectation rather than the data. The reason is worth stating plainly rather than presenting a 76% cut as luck: retailers mark down hardest on stock that moves slowest, and in Indian ethnic wear the extended-size range is routinely under-bought relative to how much is made. So plus-size shoppers, usually told their sizes never go on sale, periodically get the best value available. A three-piece suit set at Rs. 1,519 is about Rs. 506 a piece. The page also covers sarees, where sizing stops mattering, and the standard-size picks that survived. Prices read from libas.in on July 27, 2026.

21 Nykaa Fashion Picks, From 89% Off to Nothing Off

Clothing & Accessories
Womens Clothing
Jul 2026
We read 293 Nykaa Fashion listings across the women's and men's categories on July 27, and the interesting thing was not the biggest discount but the shape of the whole curve. Cuts of 65% to 89% cluster almost entirely on labels most shoppers have never heard of, while H&M carried 44 products at zero discount, The Souled Store nine and Nike four. On a marketplace, discount depth is mostly a statement about who controls the MRP: a vertically integrated retailer sets its own price and has no inflated list price to cut from. The clearest illustration sits on one page. An oversized crew tee is Rs. 500, marked 67% off Rs. 1,499. An H&M round-neck tee is Rs. 499, marked nothing off anything. They cost the same. So this page covers both ends deliberately and sorts the garments on fabric rather than badge, because polyester and viscose behave very differently in July. Prices read from Nykaa Fashion on July 27, 2026.

21 M&S Picks, and the Four Items That Break the Flat 60

Clothing & Accessories
Jul 2026
We read 108 unique products across three Marks & Spencer India sale grids on July 27, and the numbers were unusually clean: 83 were discounted at exactly 60%, 22 carried no discount at all, and precisely three sat at any other figure. When a sale is that flat, the percentage cannot separate one item from another and stops being a decision variable — so this page names the four exceptions explicitly and then judges everything else on what it actually is. What M&S turns out to be genuinely hard to beat on has nothing to do with the markdown. It is lingerie sizing, where an F-to-J cup wired support bra at Rs. 1,199 fills a range Indian retail stocks sparsely at any price, and silk knickers cost Rs. 599. And it is natural fibre: pure cotton and linen behave completely differently from blends in an Indian August, which is the axis the rest of the page is sorted on. One pick we argue against buying. Prices read from marksandspencer.in on July 27, 2026.

21 AJIO Monsoon Picks, and What the Discounts Give Away

Clothing & Accessories
Footwear
Jul 2026
We pulled 195 unique discounted products from AJIO's own search data across eight monsoon queries on July 27, and one pattern ran through all of it. Every raincoat we found sat at exactly 45% off — the shallowest discount anywhere in the list — while flip-flops and clogs ran to 86%. That is not generosity in either direction. Retailers discount what they need to clear rather than what you need to buy, and in the last week of July nobody needs to clear waterproofs. The useful half of that is the inverse: the deepest cuts on a monsoon page are reliably on the least monsoon-appropriate things in it. A quilted bomber at 85% off and closed ankle boots at 80% are good December purchases and bad July ones, and we labelled them so. The page also insists on a distinction retailers blur: a windcheater wets through in real rain, and only one jacket here is described as waterproof. Prices read from AJIO on July 27, 2026.

21 Bewakoof Picks, and a Star Rating That Never Moves

Clothing & Accessories
Mens Clothing
Jul 2026
We read 113 unique Bewakoof products carrying ratings across seven category pages on July 27, and the star scores turned out to be almost useless. Ninety-five of those 113 sat at either 4.5 or 4.6 — a spread of one tenth of a point covering 84% of the catalogue, with a total range of 4.0 to 4.8 across everything. A number that never moves cannot separate one product from another, which is exactly what a star rating looks like it is for. What does vary is the count, and it varies enormously: from a single rating up to 966. That turns out to be the only rating signal on the site worth reading, and reading it inverts the obvious conclusion. The two highest-scoring products in our sample both show 4.8 — from four ratings each. The largest sample on this page, 464 ratings, produces one of the lowest scores in it at 4.4. Sorting by rating therefore promotes barely-reviewed new stock over established products. Prices read from bewakoof.com on July 27, 2026.
