We read crocs.in's own catalogue on 18 August 2026 across seven category paths - the two sale shelves, clogs, sandals, slides, flip-flops and kids - and got 109 listings carrying a price and a higher MRP. Twenty of them are under Rs. 2,000, and all twenty are seated here. The finding that decides whether this page is for you: under Rs. 2,000 Crocs India sells no clog at all. The cheapest clog in the whole read is a Rs. 2,097 toddler Baya, and the cheapest adult clog is Rs. 3,497 - three and a half times the Rs. 1,017 floor. Everything under Rs. 2,000 is an open shoe. Below that line the catalogue uses exactly four prices - Rs. 1,017, Rs. 1,317, Rs. 1,797 and Rs. 1,947 - and fourteen of the twenty share one identical stated MRP of Rs. 2,995, which is why the badge only ever reads 40 or 35 per cent. Colourways are priced identically, a platform sole costs the same as a flat one, and eighteen of the twenty listings carry no rating at all.

We read Myntra's own listing data on August 17, 2026 across five footwear paths - men's sandals and floaters, men's flip-flops, women's flats, women's sandals and women's flip-flops - and got 160 listings carrying a price and a higher stated MRP. One hundred and thirty-four sit under Rs. 1,000 and 102 of those carry a rating. Twenty-three are seated here, Rs. 296 to Rs. 991. The finding is the gap between the two columns: the checkout prices span 3.3 times bottom to top, while the stated MRPs behind them span 12.5 times, Rs. 399 to Rs. 4,999. Seven seated pairs claim an MRP of Rs. 2,495 or more and all seven check out under Rs. 880; two claim no discount at all and sit mid-ladder at Rs. 399 and Rs. 599; one stated MRP of Rs. 999 recurs five times and produces badges of 70, 68, 56, 41 and 27 per cent. What does separate the shelf is evidence: rating counts run from 19 to 23,205.

We read Myntra's own listing data on August 17, 2026 across six paths - the adidas, Nike and Puma brand listings plus men's sports shoes and men's casual shoes - and got 174 listings with a price and a higher stated MRP, of which 84 are adidas, Nike or Puma under Rs. 3,000. Twenty-one are seated here, Rs. 999 to Rs. 2,854. Three findings. Nike puts no shoe in this band at all: its listings under Rs. 3,000 are caps, backpacks, duffels and totes, and its cheapest shoe in the read is a Rs. 3,695 Revolution 7. Puma owns the evidence - six of the 21 picks carry 49,885 of the page's 55,128 ratings, with 24,354 on one slider and 20,070 on one sneaker. And the discount badge is a brand policy: eleven of adidas's fifteen picks sit between 50 and 59 per cent off, while its best-rated shoes, the kids' walking pair, carry the smallest badges here.

We read 212 AJIO kids' footwear listings on August 12, 2026 from the retailer's own search API across three queries - kids shoes, boys sandals and girls footwear - and seated 22. Thirty-six of those listings carry a stated MRP of exactly Rs. 1,999 and sell anywhere between Rs. 300 and Rs. 1,019, a 3.4x range under one sticker; seventeen more share Rs. 1,299 and sixteen share Rs. 1,499. The whole wall resolves to 46 stated MRPs against 128 distinct selling prices. The second pattern is a department split: girls' footwear carries a median badge of 61 per cent, kids' shoes 50 and boys' sandals 43, on median prices of Rs. 599, Rs. 694 and Rs. 524. The brands with physical shops - Sparx, Warner Bros, Fame Forever, Performax - discount least, at 28 to 31 per cent, while one marketplace label claims 87 per cent off a stated Rs. 2,999 for a child's flip-flop. Not one of the 212 rows carries a customer rating. Twenty-two picks, Rs. 150 to Rs. 1,743.

We read 59 Crocs listings on August 10, 2026 from the brand's own India store API across four category paths - women, men, slides and sneakers - and seated 23. Every listing on this shelf is discounted, and every one of them falls into exactly one of four percentages: 30 per cent on 24 listings, 40 per cent on 24, 35 per cent on seven and 45 per cent on four. Which band a shoe sits in is decided by its colourway rather than its model. The InMotion Pacer sneaker sells at Rs. 4,797 in White, Navy/White and Purple Moon, and at Rs. 5,597 in White/Moonlight and Black/Atmosphere - an Rs. 800 gap against one stated MRP of Rs. 7,995. The Echo Surge is Rs. 5,697 in Black and Rs. 6,647 in Khaki, a Rs. 950 gap. The Bayaband slide splits Rs. 350, the Mellow Recovery Rs. 600 and the Baya II Rs. 150. Meanwhile, inside a band, real construction is free: a platform sole and a glitter finish both cost exactly nothing. Twenty-three picks, Rs. 1,017 to Rs. 6,647.

We read 62 Tata CLiQ footwear listings on August 9, 2026 from Tata CLiQ's own product API - men's casual shoes, women's sandals and sports shoes - and searched every model name across the whole set before seating anything. The Puma Smashic came back three times: at Rs. 1,710, Rs. 1,999 and Rs. 3,599, all against an identical stated MRP of Rs. 4,499, producing badges of 62, 56 and 20 per cent. Each row carries its own rating pool - 719, 709 and 695 votes - and all three average 4.0, which is what happens when a marketplace splits one popular shoe across three listings. Elsewhere the badge is a property of the brand: Inc.5's four rows are all discounted exactly 11 per cent, Mochi's eight never exceed 40, adidas runs 53 to 63 and Nike 30 to 35, while a single Bond Street sneaker claims Rs. 6,599 and sells at Rs. 1,121. Twenty-nine of the 62 listings publish no rating at all. Twenty-five picks, from Rs. 356 to Rs. 4,900.

We read 66 Crocs India listings on August 9, 2026 from the brand's own catalogue across two category paths, and seated 20 sandals. The whole shelf runs on four stated MRPs and three badge values. Twelve of the twenty listings claim exactly Rs. 2,995 - and those twelve sell at Rs. 1,797, Rs. 1,947 and Rs. 2,097, showing 40, 35 and 30 per cent off the identical number. Seven sandals sit at exactly Rs. 1,797, which is more than a third of everything we seated. Nothing in the listings explains why one Baya in white is Rs. 1,947 and another Baya in white is Rs. 2,097. Some steps here are real and we price them: a metallic or printed finish costs Rs. 300 over a plain colourway, a heel strap costs Rs. 350 over a slide, and a platform sole costs Rs. 500. Three of the twenty are children's or toddler sizes and all three cost Rs. 2,097 - the same as the adult listings. Crocs publishes no ratings, so no rating pill appears here. Twenty picks, Rs. 1,797 to Rs. 2,597.

We read 38 Crocs India listings on August 9, 2026 from the brand's own catalogue and seated 20 children's pairs. One comparison runs the page. Three Classic toddler clogs claim exactly Rs. 2,195: Varsity Red and the Dreamscape print sell at Rs. 1,317 at 40 per cent off, while Lavender sells at Rs. 1,537 at 30. Same mould, same size range, same claim, Rs. 220 apart - and the colour is the only thing that differs. Elsewhere on the same shelf colour turns out to be completely free: two Bayaband sandals share one price of Rs. 1,797, five clogs across three moulds share Rs. 2,097, and eight toddler clogs spanning four different moulds all sell at exactly Rs. 2,397 off a stated Rs. 3,995. That last group is 40 per cent of the page on one number, and it includes the thickest sole Crocs makes in children's sizes at the same price as the thinnest. Crocs publishes no ratings, so no rating pill appears here. Twenty picks, Rs. 1,017 to Rs. 2,447.

We read three PUMA India category pages on August 8, 2026 - men's shoes, women's shoes and men's clothing, 24 server-rendered tiles each - and kept all 72 listings that publish a price. Three things came out of it. First, this shelf has two prices and very little in between: 28 of the 72 listings carry no discount at all, 32 of the 44 that do sit between 45 and 55 per cent, and exactly four listings in the whole pull fall anywhere between 1 and 44. Second, one shoe is listed twice at two prices - the Magnify NITRO 3 at Rs. 8,999 badged 40 per cent and at Rs. 9,749 badged 35, against an identical stated MRP of Rs. 14,999. Third, the two member offers PUMA advertises on its own homepage, a 20 per cent welcome discount and a 20 per cent birthday reward, are worth more on the undiscounted half of this shelf than any badge there, because that half has no badge - 20 per cent of the Rs. 21,999 racing shoe is Rs. 4,400. 23 picks.

We read 159 AJIO menswear listings on August 8, 2026 - jeans, shirts, jackets and sweatshirts - and tested them against the two coupon offers AJIO advertises on its own homepage: Rs. 750 off a Rs. 2,990 basket and Rs. 450 off Rs. 1,990. Three things came out of it. First, almost nothing on this shelf reaches either threshold alone: exactly 2 of the 159 listings cost Rs. 2,990 or more and 11 cost Rs. 1,990 or more, against a median price of Rs. 649 - so a typical basket needs five items for the bigger coupon and three for the smaller. Second, the badges cannot rank anything: 22 of the 159 sit at exactly 75 per cent, and the four aisle medians fall within six points of one another at 67 to 73. Third, not one listing publishes a star rating or review count, so nothing here is ranked by score. 22 picks, with the basket arithmetic shown on every card.

We pulled Myntra's own men's t-shirt and casual-shirt listing data on August 8, 2026 and kept the 64 rows carrying a checkout price, a stated MRP and an image. On the shirt half of that pull, the checkout price is the fixed number and the stated MRP is the variable one: 22 of the 32 casual shirts land between Rs. 482 and Rs. 670, while the MRPs printed above those prices run from Rs. 999 to Rs. 2,499. One brand states Rs. 1,599 on a shirt it sells for Rs. 495 and Rs. 1,299 on a shirt it sells for Rs. 584 - the lower claim producing the dearer shirt. A Roadster at a stated Rs. 999 costs Rs. 492 and a Roadster at a stated Rs. 2,499 costs Rs. 667, so Rs. 1,500 of extra claim buys Rs. 175 of extra shirt. The brands discounting least carry the most evidence: an H&M tee at zero per cent off has 78,368 ratings. Twenty-three picks, every one with a real Myntra rating and rating count, from Rs. 288 to Rs. 1,139.

We pulled Myntra's own women's kurta and dress listing data on August 8, 2026 and kept the 68 rows carrying a checkout price, a stated MRP and an image. Fifty-three of them sit between 70 and 85 per cent off. A signal that five listings in six share cannot rank anything, so we sorted on what does vary: rating counts, which run from 13 to 22,427 across this counter, with 16 rows publishing none at all. One brand's rail makes the case on its own - aayu's ten listings cover maternity maxis, a georgette wrap, a bodycon midi and an off-shoulder flounce, at prices spanning Rs. 321 and stated MRPs spanning Rs. 2,000, with two entirely different dresses priced identically at Rs. 592. The deepest badge in the read, 85 per cent, produces a Rs. 669 kurta that sits beside dresses discounted 15 points less. The highest claim, Rs. 5,845, produces a Rs. 918 dress. Twenty-two picks, every one carrying a real Myntra rating and count, from Rs. 350 to Rs. 3,999.

We pulled Myntra's own men's and women's shoe listing data on August 8, 2026 and kept the 83 rows carrying a checkout price, a stated MRP and an image. Three brands account for 49 of them and each prices in a completely different way. HRX holds 29 listings - a third of the wall - at prices from Rs. 845 to Rs. 999, a Rs. 154 spread, behind stated MRPs ranging from Rs. 2,999 to Rs. 5,499. Red Tape's seven listings sit at 80 to 83 per cent off, claim the highest list prices on the wall at up to Rs. 8,699 - more than any Puma - and sell for Rs. 1,003 to Rs. 1,478, which is below every Puma listing here. Puma's thirteen run from Rs. 1,349 to Rs. 3,999 with badges falling from 70 per cent to 20 as the shoes get more technical, which is the only rail where the price moves with the product. The most-rated listing in the read, a Rs. 1,574 Puma sneaker, carries 63,749 ratings. Twenty-three picks, every one with a real Myntra rating, from Rs. 714 to Rs. 3,999.

We pulled AJIO's own product data for women's kurtas and kurta sets on August 8, 2026 and kept the 69 rows carrying a checkout price, a stated MRP and an image. One split runs through all of them. AVAASA MIX N' MATCH is Reliance's own apparel label, sold through AJIO and Reliance Trends, and it states MRPs between Rs. 299 and Rs. 1,299 while discounting by 29 to 75 per cent. The other 59 listings state MRPs of up to Rs. 4,596 and discount by up to 90 per cent - and every one of them lands in the same Rs. 150 to Rs. 950 band the house label occupies. The deepest badge in the read sits on a two-piece set priced at Rs. 450 whose listing claims Rs. 4,500, a factor of exactly ten. Another claims Rs. 1,996 on a Rs. 399 set, five times to the rupee. Four unrelated labels all claim exactly Rs. 4,345. AJIO publishes no rating or rating count on any of these 69 listings, so no card here carries a rating pill and we have said so on every one. Twenty-three picks, from Rs. 152 to Rs. 922.

We pulled Crocs India's own product data on August 8, 2026 across three category paths and kept the 60 rows carrying a price, a stated MRP and an image. This is a sale with five prices in it: across all 60 listings there are exactly five discount values - 25, 30, 35, 40 and 45 per cent - and eight distinct stated MRPs. Fifty-three of the sixty sit in just two tiers, 40 and 30 per cent. Within a model the colourway changes nothing at all: eight Bayaband adult clogs are Rs. 3,597 each, six Crush clogs are Rs. 3,897 each, five Baya toddler clogs are Rs. 2,097 each and four Classic sandals are Rs. 1,797 each. Because the tier belongs to the line rather than to the value, the badge cannot rank anything - the cheapest adult clog here carries a shallower badge than the dearest one, and a Rs. 4,197 platform clog is discounted less than a Rs. 1,797 sandal. One listing in sixty sits at 45 per cent, alone. Twenty-one picks, from Rs. 1,797 to Rs. 4,197.
