We read Myntra's own listing data across four paths - trolley bags, luggage and trolley bags, laptop bags and duffel bags - on 18 August 2026, and got 128 listings carrying a price and a higher MRP. Sixty are under Rs. 2,000 and twenty are seated here. The badge on this wall runs from 20 to 87 per cent and it sorts by brand rather than by value: Teakwood Leathers' median discount across the read is 86 per cent, ZOUK's 85, Aristocrat's and Safari's 82, against Fastrack at 34, Puma and MANGO at 35 and CULT at 28. The luggage houses print four- and five-figure MRPs on bags selling under Rs. 2,000; the accessory brands price close to their MRP. What is unusually solid here is the evidence: 102 of the 128 listings carry a rating with a count, and the cheapest hard-sided cabin trolley on the page - Rs. 1,149, 360-degree wheels, 86 per cent off a stated Rs. 8,199 - has been rated by 12,145 people. That trolley costs less than the Rs. 1,554 laptop sleeve on the same page.
We read 139 Nykaa Fashion luggage and travel bag listings on August 10, 2026 from the retailer's own category API and seated 23. The finding is that on this shelf the badge runs opposite to the price. The 35 listings badged 65 per cent or more have a median selling price of Rs. 4,180 against a median stated MRP of Rs. 16,495; the 23 badged 35 per cent or less sell for a median Rs. 9,100 - more than twice as much - against a lower median claim of Rs. 12,999. The cheapest cases carry the largest numbers: an Aristocrat three-case set sells at Rs. 6,694 against a stated Rs. 33,470, the biggest claim in the read, while Mokobara's check-in case takes 14 per cent off Rs. 13,999, the smallest. Buying a set rather than a single case is the one real lever here, cutting Aristocrat's per-case price to Rs. 2,231 and Kenneth Cole's to Rs. 3,666. Benetton runs exactly two badges across fourteen listings. Twenty-three picks, Rs. 949 to Rs. 20,000.
We read 73 Tata CLiQ listings on August 9, 2026 from the retailer's own catalogue and seated 19 bags. Nine of the nineteen carry a badge of exactly 40 or exactly 50 per cent. The 50 per cent group alone contains Miraggio, United Colors of Benetton, Lavie Signature, Lavie Luxe and Hidesign - five unrelated brands, prices from Rs. 1,249 to Rs. 3,194, all halved to the rupee. Five independent brands do not arrive at the same percentage by coincidence, so what the badge is telling you is which promotion tier a bag sits in. Where the claims are set by the brand, they diverge sharply: Titan owns both Caprese and IRTH, and on this page Caprese lists a Rs. 799 tote against a stated Rs. 4,699 for an 83 per cent badge while IRTH lists a Rs. 2,657 handbag against Rs. 3,795 for 30. Eighteen of the nineteen bags are PU; the one leather listing, a Hidesign at Rs. 3,194, costs Rs. 1,305 less than a PU bowler bag from a licence brand. Nineteen picks, Rs. 799 to Rs. 10,490.
We read 99 Myntra bag, backpack and wallet listings on August 9, 2026 from Myntra's own listing data, and the first thing the read produced was a category of listing the discount column cannot describe: fifteen rows with no discount at all, where the price and the stated MRP are identical. They include two Marks & Spencer bags at Rs. 3,999 and Rs. 4,499, a Nike tote at Rs. 1,995, a MANGO card holder and six Mochi wallets. On the same wall, six listings are discounted 78 per cent or more, topping out at 87 per cent on a Rs. 593 wallet claiming a Rs. 4,500 list price. Mochi sells the same wallet set twice in this pull - Rs. 1,690 with no discount and Rs. 1,014 at 40 per cent off - a gap of Rs. 676 for the same product on the same day. The evidence is just as lopsided as the pricing: the backpack aisle carries 31,980 ratings on one listing and four samples above 7,000, while the largest rating sample on any wallet here is fifteen votes. Twenty-four picks, from Rs. 287 to Rs. 4,499.
