Every single row carries a stated MRP identical to its price - zero per cent off across sunscreens, serums, cleansers, moisturisers, toners, masks and lip balms - which removes the usual comparison entirely and leaves only the unit price. Priced that way the shelf becomes legible: a face wash is Rs. 2.49 a millilitre, a toner Rs. 2.63, a moisturiser Rs. 3.95 a gram, a sunscreen Rs. 8.90 a gram and a serum Rs. 22.45 a millilitre, which is the correct ordering for products used in handfuls versus drops. Seven sunscreens sit at exactly Rs. 445 for 50g, with the only exception the water-resistant one at Rs. 495; five face washes sit at exactly Rs. 249 for 100ml. The one place the tidiness breaks is pack size - a Rs. 295 cleanser looks Rs. 46 dearer than the Rs. 249 shelf and is 48 per cent dearer per millilitre, because the tube is 80ml. Twenty-two picks, from Rs. 99 to Rs. 550.

We read 50 Nykaa shampoo, face wash and lipstick listings on August 8, 2026 from nykaa.com's own product API, and every one of them publishes a price, an MRP, a rating and a review count - 18.2 million ratings across the shelf. Sorted by how each brand reaches India, the discounts separate into five clean tiers: Nykaa's own labels at a 40 per cent median, mass-market supermarket brands at 35, Indian D2C actives brands at 16, salon and professional lines at 15, and imported clinical brands at 10. The products do not explain that spread. A Cetaphil cleanser with 422,713 ratings at 4.5 is 11 per cent off; a Himalaya face wash with 153,649 ratings at the same 4.5 is 40 per cent off. The badge is describing a distribution channel, not a formulation. The evidence, meanwhile, sits at the cheap end - the four most-rated products here cost between Rs. 172 and Rs. 449, while a Rs. 1,280 bottle carries 86 ratings. Twenty-four picks, from Rs. 66 to Rs. 3,953.

We read GeeksforGeeks' full course catalogue on August 8, 2026 from the same API its courses page renders from - 88 courses, each with a batch fee, a struck promotional fee and a duration. No sale banner was live, so these are standing prices rather than event pricing. Three things came out of it. Flipkart's 0% Interest Days have ended, so we re-priced this page against live listings on August 7, 2026 rather than leave July's numbers standing. Vijay Sales renders exactly 27 listings on each of its large-appliance category pages, which makes a comparison across aisles unusually clean: five sets of the same size, no weighting needed. We ran four home-fitness searches on amazon.in on August 7, 2026 - resistance bands, adjustable dumbbells, 6mm yoga mats and skipping ropes - dropped the sponsored placements, and kept the 114 organic listings carrying both a price and a stated MRP. Six of them are badged 99 per cent off. On all six, the stated MRP is exactly one hundred times the selling price: Rs. 229 against Rs. 22,900, Rs. 3,916 against Rs. 3,91,600, Rs. 180 against Rs. 18,000, Rs. 132 against Rs. 13,200, Rs. 749 against Rs. 74,900 and Rs. 5,498 against Rs. 5,49,800. A seventh at 98 per cent is exactly 50x. Nothing else in the 114 exceeds 86 per cent. Four brands and three categories are involved, so it is not one seller's quirk - but we cannot see how those numbers were entered and we do not pretend to. The products themselves average 4.1 stars. 23 picks, with the prices that actually matter.

We read six Reliance Digital audio searches on August 7, 2026 - bluetooth speakers, soundbars, headphones, earbuds, home theatre and neckbands - and kept the 67 listings carrying both a selling price and a stated MRP. Two things came out of it. First, not one of the 67 publishes a star rating or a review count, so nothing on this page is ranked by score and no rating pill appears anywhere. Second, badge depth falls with price in a straight line: median 74.5 per cent under Rs. 1,000, 50 per cent to Rs. 10,000, 25.5 per cent to Rs. 30,000, and 23 per cent above it. The deepest discount on the shelf, 86 per cent, is on a Rs. 349 neckband; the most expensive listing, an Rs. 84,990 Sony bar, is on 19. Two Marshall speakers at the identical Rs. 34,999 carry badges ten points apart. Three televisions came back in the home-theatre search and are seated here labelled as televisions, because dropping them would have flattered the finding. 18 picks.

We read four Croma appliance searches on August 7, 2026 - vacuum cleaner, water purifier, dishwasher and chimney - and kept the 84 listings carrying both a selling price and a stated MRP. Each search returned exactly 21. The discount turned out to be a property of the aisle rather than the machine: vacuum cleaners have a median badge of 60 per cent, chimneys 41, water purifiers 29 and dishwashers 18. Four of the 21 dishwashers are under 10 per cent off; none of the 21 vacuums is. The deepest badge in the pull, 87 per cent, sits on a robot vacuum stating an MRP of Rs. 1,79,999, which we name as an inflated sticker rather than repeat as a saving. The shallowest, 1 per cent, is Rs. 800 off a dishwasher. Ratings are thin and unevenly spread: 33 of 84 listings carry one, from 70 per cent of listings under Rs. 10,000 down to 12 per cent between Rs. 25,000 and Rs. 50,000. The most-rated product here, with 178 ratings, is discounted 11 per cent. 23 picks.

We read three Vijay Sales category pages on August 7, 2026 - smart watches, laptops and mobile phones - and kept the 50 listings carrying both a selling price and a stated MRP. The phone page returned none, so this is 27 smartwatches and 23 laptops. Three things came out of it. First, one brand behaves unlike every other on the smartwatch wall: Samsung has ten listings and all ten are discounted between 2 and 7 per cent, while boAt, Fastrack, Noise, Redmi and CMF run from 14 to 76 - and all ten listings above Rs. 11,000 are Samsung. Second, the two aisles state MRPs in different registers: all 27 smartwatch MRPs are round retail figures, while only 7 of the 23 laptop MRPs are, the rest reading as computed numbers like Rs. 69,458 and Rs. 2,56,816. Third, not one of the 50 listings publishes a star rating or review count, so no rating pill appears anywhere here. Two watches sell at an identical Rs. 2,499 with badges 26 points apart. 22 picks.

Snitch's homepage carousel is mostly collection drops this week — New This Week, the Linen Edit — but one banner carries an actual number: the brand's perfume line at flat 50% off, read from the live site on July 23, 2026. We read three AJIO men's footwear searches on August 7, 2026 - sneakers, casual shoes and sports shoes - across two pages each, and kept the 227 listings carrying both a price and a stated MRP. One brand dominates the result in an unusual way. RED TAPE has 50 of the 227 listings, 22 per cent of the shelf, and every single one is discounted between 78 and 86 per cent, inside a price range of Rs. 896 to Rs. 1,870. Not one falls outside that eight-point band. At the other end, NIKE's nine listings run Rs. 3,147 to Rs. 7,646 and never exceed 35 per cent off. The shelf median is 59 per cent and three listings carry exactly that at Rs. 697, Rs. 1,435 and Rs. 2,255. The tidy conclusion - cheaper brands discount harder - does not survive: Campus is half Puma's price and discounts six points less deeply, and we have seated the picks that show it. Second, the discount is a property of the brand rather than of the bag. RIO has twenty listings on this shelf and they carry exactly two values between them: thirteen at 70 per cent, seven at 50. FASTRACK has twelve listings and none exceeds 39; CAPRESE has nine and none is below 68, so the two brands' ranges never touch. Two different Mochi slings share an identical Rs. 495 price and an identical Rs. 990 stated MRP. We pulled Myntra's own watch listing data on August 7, 2026 and kept the 101 rows carrying a checkout price, a stated MRP and an image. One pattern runs through all of them: the discount tells you what kind of company made the watch and almost nothing else. The five houses whose business is watches - Titan, Fastrack, Timex, Casio and Sonata - account for 20 listings at a median 14 per cent off, and two of those sit at zero. The other 81 listings run at a median 70 per cent. Casio's Vintage A-158WA is full price at Rs. 1,895 with 24,990 ratings behind it. WROGN's fourteen analogue watches are all 73 to 80 per cent off, state MRPs higher than any Titan analogue on the page, and land between Rs. 695 and Rs. 1,079 - below Titan. The deepest badge in the whole read, 89 per cent, hangs on a smartwatch stating Rs. 21,999 and charging Rs. 2,401. Twenty-two picks, every one carrying a real Myntra rating and rating count, from Rs. 695 to Rs. 4,499.
