One brand states Rs. 1,599 on a shirt it sells for Rs. 495 and Rs. 1,299 on a shirt it sells for Rs. 584 - the lower claim producing the dearer shirt. A Roadster at a stated Rs. 999 costs Rs. 492 and a Roadster at a stated Rs. 2,499 costs Rs. 667, so Rs. 1,500 of extra claim buys Rs. 175 of extra shirt. The brands discounting least carry the most evidence: an H&M tee at zero per cent off has 78,368 ratings. Twenty-three picks, every one with a real Myntra rating and rating count, from Rs. 288 to Rs. 1,139.

A signal that five listings in six share cannot rank anything, so we sorted on what does vary: rating counts, which run from 13 to 22,427 across this counter, with 16 rows publishing none at all. One brand's rail makes the case on its own - aayu's ten listings cover maternity maxis, a georgette wrap, a bodycon midi and an off-shoulder flounce, at prices spanning Rs. 321 and stated MRPs spanning Rs. 2,000, with two entirely different dresses priced identically at Rs. 592. The deepest badge in the read, 85 per cent, produces a Rs. 669 kurta that sits beside dresses discounted 15 points less. The highest claim, Rs. 5,845, produces a Rs. 918 dress. We pulled Myntra's own men's and women's shoe listing data on August 8, 2026 and kept the 83 rows carrying a checkout price, a stated MRP and an image. Three brands account for 49 of them and each prices in a completely different way. HRX holds 29 listings - a third of the wall - at prices from Rs. 845 to Rs. 999, a Rs. 154 spread, behind stated MRPs ranging from Rs. 2,999 to Rs. 5,499. Red Tape's seven listings sit at 80 to 83 per cent off, claim the highest list prices on the wall at up to Rs. 8,699 - more than any Puma - and sell for Rs. 1,003 to Rs. 1,478, which is below every Puma listing here. Puma's thirteen run from Rs. 1,349 to Rs. 3,999 with badges falling from 70 per cent to 20 as the shoes get more technical, which is the only rail where the price moves with the product. We read 46 Amazon India laptop listings on August 8, 2026 from amazon.in's own search results and seated the 22 that are laptops rather than components. The shelf has one shape and it runs backwards. The deepest discounts sit on the cheapest machines: a Lenovo V15 with a Ryzen 3 and 8GB of memory states a list price of Rs. 1,21,000 and sells at Rs. 48,890, a 60 per cent badge, while a Rs. 3,59,990 ASUS ROG Zephyrus states Rs. 3,95,990 and prints 9 per cent. That entry machine's claimed list price is higher than the actual selling price of every non-gaming laptop in the read. Inside a single product line, the Ryzen 5 version claims Rs. 1,01,990 while the weaker Ryzen 3 version claims Rs. 1,21,000. The second problem is the evidence: rating counts here run from 5 to 1,127 on purchases costing Rs. 20,000 to Rs. 3.6 lakh, and only one listing in 46 has been rated by more than a thousand people. Twenty-two picks, every one carrying a real Amazon rating and count.

We read 69 Amazon India luggage and travel-backpack listings on August 8, 2026 from amazon.in's own search results. One corporate family sets the arithmetic on this shelf: Safari, Kamiliant and Aristocrat account for 41 of the 69 rows, and every one of the 26 listings discounted 80 per cent or deeper belongs to that group. Nothing outside it exceeds 75 per cent. The claims run to Rs. 27,997, for a three-bag set that sells at Rs. 3,999; a Rs. 999 cabin trolley claims Rs. 8,199, which would place it above a Delsey polycarbonate case that actually sells for Rs. 4,459. The whole shelf, meanwhile, lands between Rs. 659 and Rs. 5,499. The second thing worth knowing is that the rating counts are pooled: six listings here share exactly 21,929 ratings and five share 8,428, because Amazon aggregates reviews across a product family rather than a specific bag. Twenty-two picks, every one with a real Amazon rating, from Rs. 839 to Rs. 5,499.

We pulled AJIO's own product data for women's kurtas and kurta sets on August 8, 2026 and kept the 69 rows carrying a checkout price, a stated MRP and an image. One split runs through all of them. AVAASA MIX N' MATCH is Reliance's own apparel label, sold through AJIO and Reliance Trends, and it states MRPs between Rs. 299 and Rs. 1,299 while discounting by 29 to 75 per cent. The other 59 listings state MRPs of up to Rs. 4,596 and discount by up to 90 per cent - and every one of them lands in the same Rs. 150 to Rs. 950 band the house label occupies. The deepest badge in the read sits on a two-piece set priced at Rs. 450 whose listing claims Rs. 4,500, a factor of exactly ten. Another claims Rs. 1,996 on a Rs. 399 set, five times to the rupee. Four unrelated labels all claim exactly Rs. 4,345. AJIO publishes no rating or rating count on any of these 69 listings, so no card here carries a rating pill and we have said so on every one. Twenty-three picks, from Rs. 152 to Rs. 922.

We read 84 AJIO women's sandal and heel listings on August 8, 2026 from ajio.com's own search API, then sorted them by what each shoe actually is. Flats and slip-ons, 32 pairs, median Rs. 600. Chunky and block heels, 20 pairs, median Rs. 669. Stilettos, six pairs, median Rs. 741. Platforms, five pairs, median Rs. 792. Kitten heels, eight pairs, median Rs. 799. Rs. 199 separates the cheapest median from the dearest, across five constructions that take very different amounts of work to build - a stiletto post carries a person's weight through a few square centimetres, a slip-on flat solves no such problem, and on this wall the stiletto is cheaper. The discount column explains none of it: two pairs here cost exactly Rs. 380 and carry badges of 81 and 62 per cent, because one seller claims a Rs. 1,999 MRP and the other Rs. 999. We read 48 Amazon India charging-accessory listings on August 8, 2026 from amazon.in's own search results. Two of the three aisles have their headline specification fixed by the search itself, which makes the price spread the whole story: every charger in this read is 65 watts and they run from Rs. 549 to Rs. 2,999, and every power bank is 20,000mAh and they run from Rs. 1,106 to Rs. 2,799. Per unit that is Rs. 8.45 to Rs. 46.14 a watt and 5.5 to 14 paise per mAh. Three 65W chargers here cost Rs. 1,994, Rs. 1,999 and Rs. 1,999 while carrying badges of 20, 50 and 50 per cent, because their claimed list prices differ by Rs. 1,500. Where a real specification explains a gap - 35W output, gallium-nitride construction, a built-in cable - we name it, and because charging is a chain we flag where the cheapest pick in one aisle throttles the one beside it. Twenty-one picks, from Rs. 159 to Rs. 2,999.

We pulled Tata CLiQ's own home furnishing data on August 8, 2026 and kept the 36 rows carrying a price, a stated MRP and an image - curtains, cushion covers, sofa covers and throws. The shelf splits by who is selling rather than by what is being sold. Marketplace sellers discount by 44 to 75 per cent, with one seller alone accounting for nine listings at 57 to 72 per cent, while every recognised home-textile label in the read - DDecor, House This, TESU, TARA, Freedom Tree - sits between 10 and 33 per cent. The clearest pair on the shelf is two sofa textiles with near-identical claims: a polyester sofa cover claiming Rs. 5,999 that sells at Rs. 1,656, and a designer sofa throw claiming Rs. 5,600 that sells at Rs. 5,039. The second thing this shelf hides is format: a 5-foot window panel and a 7-foot door panel of the same fabric from one seller differ by Rs. 83, and a cushion cover and a filled cushion are listed side by side. Twenty-one picks, from Rs. 233 to Rs. 5,039.

We read 109 Tata CLiQ watch and sunglass listings on August 8, 2026 from tatacliq.com's own product API, and the discount column turned out to be a short list of repeated numbers rather than a response to any product. Twenty-six listings carry exactly 30 per cent off and they run from Rs. 588 to Rs. 97,996 - a hundred and sixty-seven times the price under one badge, across fourteen unrelated brands. Thirty more sit at exactly 10 per cent, from Rs. 1,615 to Rs. 36,000. Nine sit at 20, and exactly one listing carries 25. The tiers are finer-grained than the brands: Ray-Ban appears at both 30 and 10 per cent on comparable pilot frames, with the cheaper pair carrying the deeper cut. Converted into money the percentages stop being comparable at all - the biggest badge here, 75 per cent, saves Rs. 2,160, while a 45 per cent badge saves Rs. 96,750. Twenty-five picks, from Rs. 588 to Rs. 155,550.

Flipkart's 0% Interest Days have ended, so we re-priced this page against live listings on August 7, 2026 rather than leave July's numbers standing. Thirteen of the twenty picks have moved, almost all downward: JBL's Tune 770NC is now exactly half price, the Flip 6 has shed Rs. 2,000, boAt's Airdopes Plus 311 sit at Rs. 799, and the Copilot+ IdeaPad has fallen Rs. 10,000. We ran four home-fitness searches on amazon.in on August 7, 2026 - resistance bands, adjustable dumbbells, 6mm yoga mats and skipping ropes - dropped the sponsored placements, and kept the 114 organic listings carrying both a price and a stated MRP. Six of them are badged 99 per cent off. On all six, the stated MRP is exactly one hundred times the selling price: Rs. 229 against Rs. 22,900, Rs. 3,916 against Rs. 3,91,600, Rs. 180 against Rs. 18,000, Rs. 132 against Rs. 13,200, Rs. 749 against Rs. 74,900 and Rs. 5,498 against Rs. 5,49,800. A seventh at 98 per cent is exactly 50x. Nothing else in the 114 exceeds 86 per cent. Four brands and three categories are involved, so it is not one seller's quirk - but we cannot see how those numbers were entered and we do not pretend to. The products themselves average 4.1 stars. 23 picks, with the prices that actually matter.

We read three AJIO men's footwear searches on August 7, 2026 - sneakers, casual shoes and sports shoes - across two pages each, and kept the 227 listings carrying both a price and a stated MRP. One brand dominates the result in an unusual way. RED TAPE has 50 of the 227 listings, 22 per cent of the shelf, and every single one is discounted between 78 and 86 per cent, inside a price range of Rs. 896 to Rs. 1,870. Not one falls outside that eight-point band. At the other end, NIKE's nine listings run Rs. 3,147 to Rs. 7,646 and never exceed 35 per cent off. The shelf median is 59 per cent and three listings carry exactly that at Rs. 697, Rs. 1,435 and Rs. 2,255. The tidy conclusion - cheaper brands discount harder - does not survive: Campus is half Puma's price and discounts six points less deeply, and we have seated the picks that show it. AJIO publishes no star rating on any of the 227. 24 picks.
